S.Updated 08/12/2021 - Popped in to the store to pick up the items and fortunately, both the bag and pads were available. Also received email from Player Sports with a sincere apology for the inconvenience and an explanation on what took place from their end. With the start of the season and Auckland coming out of lock down, they have had a hectic week and it appears my order fell smack in the middle of the chaos. They have advised that feedback has been taken onboard and they will make some changes. Not all companies would take time to respond to customer feedback, especially when things haven't gone so well, therefore the response like this is much appreciated. Staff at the Onehunga store were friendly and helpful both times I was there. Issues with the order it seems was caused by several events piling together, leading to delays and miscommunication. Overall, not the smoothest of click and collects, but got there at the end. I'm happy with the quality of the items and will be putting them to use very soon. I've left the OP below as a reference.
OP 06/12/2021 - Store Ref: Order number 1208739. I've only shopped at their Onehunga store and can say it was a messy process. While the website says items were available, when you go in to the store they were not, or they are in a pallet at the back and cannot be reached. Great, so I ordered them online for click and collect. Received a text message few days later saying one of the items was available for pick up, but no mention of the other. So I replied to the text asking about this, then emailed and then called the store. No response from them. Text message and voice mail both said store was open till 8pm Mon-Fri. When I got there on a Monday at 7.30pm the store was closed. Another phone call and email going unanswered. Very poor service, click and collect with them is a nightmare. Supporting local comes at a price with outfits like this that are disorganised, the cost is your time and petrol going back and forth. Give these guys a miss and stick with Rebel. Their prices are marginally better but the headache is not worth it.

T.This company and their service blew me away. I made a last minute decision for a birthday gift and ordered a customised team shirt online late in the afternoon and ship it direct. This was an early Father's Day present for me and I'm absolutely ecstatic with it! It's nearly impossible for me to get Panthers gear here in NZ, I've been a massive Penrith fan since 1990. To get any fan gear usually means exorbitant amounts spent on delivery costs from overseas. So THANK YOU for this product and I hope and pray you'll continue to stock more in the future. J.Bought 2019 Head Graphene 360 Speed MP racket. Great Product and service. I had issues with strings on other rackets I bought from here. Actualy, I had my new one restrung is well! I think, that stringing racket's is their weakness! They always step up, and worked with me on it well!

S.I've shopped at MANY different sports stores and I got to say, the salesperson that assisted me from the moment I walked into the store, he immediately made me feel welcome and at ease when he greeted me and my daughter with a smile.
I was excited but nervous at the same time because It was my first time purchasing my own cricket gear and had waited 3weeks because some gear was temporarily out of stock when I originally purchased my gear online, Staff member Bailee that handled my order went out of her way to confirm when my order was going to arrive instore and she also informed me via email that my gear was ready to be picked up and she also apologized for my order being delayed,thank you for always keeping me updated Bailee really appreciate the time you took to follow up on order!🙂
I was always skeptical because I didn't know if the size bat, pads, thigh pad and gloves would be a good fit for me. When he salesperson came out with my order , he had noticed straight away that the size 4 bat that came with the bundle was way to small for me, He immediately went thru steps to make sure I had the right size bat and also explained why it would this size bat would be more suitable for my height. I asked him to point me in the direction of the lowest price bat size SA or SM ... I may have been a nuisance , asking him to check prices for me but he didn't seem to be annoyed at all and was just willing to help me make the best choice. He then let me try on all my other gear to make sure it was a good fit and asked how did it feel ?? and just reassuring you and letting you know there are bigger sizes available if something doesn't fit right. He did have to serve other customers that arrived in-store but always came back to check on how I was doing.
Sorry for this very LONG review 😂but I had to explain why it's 5stars from me🙂 If only others took time to help customers the same way this gentleman from your store (PlayerSports Newmarket) there would be a lot more happy shoppers LOL!!! L.Visited your Albany store to buy a cricket bat for my son. The guy who served me, Matthew, was awesome! Measured my son to work out the best size (not done in the other 2 shops we visited), recommended some bats based on weight and got him to try them with specific exercises. The bat he loved was also over 30% cheaper than at another nearby cricket store. Great experience, will definitely be shopping here again.
