N.Booking was easy. Changing booking time was simple with a quick phone call. But make sure you ask them to check the fit of your child's life jacket (or yours if you're not sure) as they do not automatically check it is correctly fitted which surprised me! They were friendly and seemed happy for you to use their equipment but there wasn't much focus on your safety or meeting you at the kayak. However, that being said, it was a fun experience and I would do it again.
E.It was easy to make a reservation online, and they emailed me my receipt and even sent a reminder. I had a one or two hour rental option. Claiming my kayak was simple - I just showed up (everything was prepaid) they gave me my paddle and life jacket, and the kayak was waiting for me by the water. They are located on the loop at the end of the road right by the beach. It happened to be a windy day, and I was given good advice on where to head. It's fun to just take a break and let the waves rock you while watching the kite surfers. The water is very warm at Tahunanui even when the evenings get cold in the summer. The kayaks have elastic compartments that hold your belongings well. Cover your items if they're not waterproof, they will get splashed! I recommend this activity if you're visiting the Nelson area.
L.First time paddle boarding, really kind, calm, patient teaching. By the end we were all up and doing it. I ended up in the water a couple of times but lots of encouragement got there in the end, looking forward to enjoying my new hobby in the lovely waters of new Zealand 😊

G.This was my second Christmas Holidays' experience at Moana Paddle Boards at Nelson. Perfect conditions on 29-Dec-20 for a beginner - calm, very little swell. Great fun. The team here are very helpful and great to deal with. Certainly will be back again...

T.Moana is THE go to place for the best SUPing in town. Amazing gear, knowledgeable staff and great family feel. You can tell that the owners have put thier heart and soul into this business. Staff were great at getting us set up and made us feel comfortable going out with some great places to check out while on the water. Can't recommend enough.

T.Great service! Went there early this morning, easy to rent a SUP, staff helpful and gave us some quick tips. Will definitely rent from them again (although I loved it so much I might go buy a board instead!). Oh and I didn't book..I just rocked up but it wasn't an issue.
