Great spot. Reserved tender spot for members. Excellent burgers. Friendly staff. Perfect place to anchor
K.
Cute as general store with potatoes, milk, breathe and all the basics, coupled with a bar, food, and a cute as clothing store.
Call ahead if you're looking for cigarettes (sold out when I got there)
Awesome place to stop, fuel and water for the boat, really cool vibe.
J.
Bloody fantastic. Great service and environment. Excellent selection despite the supply issues being island bound.
S.
It’s a beautiful place to enjoy the views, watching the world go by and testing the yummy food 👍😀
D.
One of the only places serving food and drink on Kawau. Need to get to it by boat but if staying on North side of Bon Accord harbour a walk along the shore should get you there. Cooking is not fancy so don't expect Auckland City quality. Pricing is reasonable and staff a pleasant.

My favorite place Such a beautiful setting
E.

This is my happy place. Lovely people, great service, stunning view. What more could you want?

Beautiful setting. Great service. A bit towards the expensive for prices. Also has a great kids area. We walked over from camp Bentzon and then took the water taxi back. A magic trip.

Great spot. Very rustic and has a nice bar, food and great service. We're not members but they made us feel very welcome.

Most importantly,
you don't have to be a member to enjoy this place.
Anchor your floating caravan up in the bay somewhere but, not right out front of the club.
Jump in ya dingy and head just around the corner into the bay and tie it up at the floating dock. It'll be safe, relax.
Walk along the path to the club and soak up the efforts that have made this place as it is today.
Once inside you'll see it's not some pretentious yacht club filled with waffling old men but, a proper welcoming cafe with beautiful views and attentive staff.
Take a shower, it's most likely been a few days since you did. Order from the menu, everything's good. The chef is a proper qualified individual and the grub will satisfy.
Try not to stare at the beautiful girls who work the diesel pumps and the bar. Your wife may give you a black eye later when you get back to your floating caravan.
Pay the $150 for the membership even if you only come here once or once a year. This place needs people just like you. $150 is but a solid investment in ensuring this place stays open!
Suck back a few beers and chat to the table next to you. They may have a floating caravan too or, be on board the super yacht/flash floating caravan out on the bay.
Look at the pictures around the walls. Understand this place is special.
Come back and bring some mates next time.
Regards,
Glen.

Stunning. The weather over Labour Weekend 2018 was great for enjoying the Hauraki Gulf at it's spring best. This was my first on land visit to Kawau, and the pier at KBC beckoned.
What a laid back situation.
Ordering at the bar - was a bit of a wait, but there was plenty of chatter in the queue and it is also a good time to check out the KBC memorabilia. Becks on tap was the popular choice by our mob.
Being perfect Labour weekend, it was pretty busy. Food was good, the view was better - but only just.
This is one of those special places ...

Beautiful food and great service, bit pricey but it is an Island.
M.
Good food , great views , awesome atmosphere.
J.
Coffee available. Can buy fresh water ice and fill your water tank and purchase fuel for your boat. Plus there are showers and laundry facilities
D.
Beer and Sun at Kawau? Doesn't get much better. A floating pontoon for smaller boats wanting to drop in for lunch would be handy. Best kept secret in the Hauraki

(Translated) Great restaurant bar located on the island! The owners are very caring with the clientele. Very friendly atmosphere. This is the meeting place for boat owners who have stopped in this beautiful bay! The few locals accustomed to the place add to the ambient charm. This multi service business offers everything you need: catering, bar, shower / WC, grocery, gas / fresh water for boats, library, play area for the little ones ... Quality food, desserts are super good!
(Original)
