Great central location for hockey grounds. Great views from the clubhouse to both fields

A great pavillion built almost entirely by volunteers of our hockey community. This mirrors the sense of family one feels playing in, and to be involved with the Wairarapa Hockey Association. There are two full water turfs with lighting and dugouts. A fully serviced pavilion provides hot & cold food, with a licensed bar.
Underneath there are four big changing rooms with four showers in each, there are also two toilets with additional ones upstairs and outside. Ample parking for both cars and buses too, all set round a lovely big expanse of greenery including a lake!
Also on site is a practice turf to warm up on before your game or for somewhere for the kids to muck around in. Wrap up though cos it can be quite chilly here.
All in all a really good complex...and handy to accommodation and the like in both Carterton & Masterton.

Great place to watch or play hockey, found the cafe to be very good. Great coffee

Oo very cold. But the actual sport makes it work braving the outdoor arctic conditions that somehow occur almost all year round. The building and cafe/bar is really good and the ladies at the bar are super cool and make your day-even if you have played super bad prior
