We found this to be an awesome asset to the Mangakino Community....for the community as well as the many rowing teams who train there every year from all over the motu. Rowing has been a tradition in "Mango" since the 1970s! WOW! Future Olympians train here! Basic and rustic backpacking/camping facilities at a low cost. Great venue for events (weddings, bdays).Great and generous people running it. Highly recommend.

This rowing camp is a serious asset to the sport of rowing. It's on the shore of Lake Maraetai with it's own boat ramp, skiff launching area, boat shed and outdoor racks. Lots of dorm and cabin accommodation, kitchen, dining area and small laundry. The buildings are basic and rustic, but it is very cheap to stay making for affordable rowing training for clubs and schools. The lake has a sheltered rowing only zone and it's great water for the sport. Highly recommended.

awsorm grounds and good facilities for school towering camps.

Great venue for a rowing camp, tidy, good amenities. Only shame are the wakeboarders on the lake. Pet peacocks around, good access to the lake. Oar and board racks available, trailer access to the water for coach boats.
