I felt compelled to write a review today, its always enjoyable shopping here. The staff are very welcoming and take time to chat. The range is good in my opinion and have found some real treats here! I choose to shop at four candles over other local options as they're friendly and helpful, plus their pre-made meals are fantastic!

Four Candles is a great little boutique food market! Was greeted at the door by the friendly staff, great selection of food from both local and further afield. The deli was also fantastic, the girls making coffee and serving savoury foods (Natalie & Rachel) were super friendly and chatty. Will be visiting again soon. 5 stars

It's a supermarket in a niche of its own, with a very selected, 'curated' variety of quality food. The aisles are wide, and everything is super organised. The owners are always keeping an eye and willing to help you choose the right products. I didn't want to post it here, but everyone has to know about the focaccia they sell, which was my first reason for buying there, then I noticed they had everything that I need with smaller choice of small quality brands which really make it easier to choose. Pricing is not bad at all, you get what you pay for, and they haven't disappointed -I'm planning to become a regular :)

Wide range of food and vine. Superb quality and thoughtful service. All that with good prices, which is amazing! Highly recommended.

Kudos to Four Candles. After being rudely treated at Farros and kicked out of their store even with showing a mask exemption, I looked for an alternative. Four Candles popped up. I went in. No problem. Lovely friendly staff. Wonderful selection. Happy vibe!!! So different to Farros which are stiff and unfriendly. Great little place. Please support. ❤️

Came here to have a look, decided to buy things, they have a good range of local and artisan products. I was really impressed with the coffee from a local producer. I'd definitely come back here again!

The old Nosh store. Very friendly staff. I took my 3 yo and they knew it was her first visit to grocery after the lockdown and gave her a box of strawberry. Made our day!

Amazing range of products, including some I’ve never seen before (e.g tapenade and 500g black pudding). Great, friendly service! Better than farro in my opinion!

Chris and the team went over and above to source some German Christmas chocolates for my family. These guys are doing wonderful things in the supermarket space, indipendant and supporting local. My new go-to on the way home.

Local grocery offering fresh food and produce. Coffee, sandwiches and pastry to go is also available. The pie is yummy and must try.

They have some nice products and support local Bakeries . But I do find products are highly priced.

Lovely experience, good quality products, awesome service highly recommend if you are a foodie you check it out.

Great customer service, a little on the expensive side but that's expected. Everything is really nice and you can find high quality bargains.

Light and airy, clean as one would expect from a new food store and the staff are very pleasant. However, this does not make up for the lack of assortment of food. Meadow Lee milk that you can buy anywhere? They could at least stock Jersey Girl Organics or their A2 products or any number of speciality food products made here in NZ. No shredded cheese to go with the fresh pasta offer ............. Fruit and Veg? As a retailer if you get the f&v offer right everything else in your business will follow. There is no selection and there is no feeling of abundance. Yes you are new, yes, you are not doing the sales to support a large offer (yet) but you never will if you have not taken a large portion of your daily budget to write off product until your turn over can support a great assortment and profit and budget KPI's. I want to give only one star based on the fact that the four candles that are responsible should know better and should have offered better. No, music, no feeling of abundance, no good smells or great merchandising. I guess there still must be alot of spare cash floating around Auckland that allows people to invest in an idea of a store like this. But, no amount of cash will make up for executives running a store like Four Candles that obviously have never spent a day/week on the floor with stock and customers.
