My first choice when it comes to American snacks and baking ingredients. It used to have a lot Children theme birthday party accessories, but today I went and not much left. They sell lots in bulk, so great for goody bag or party favour gift.

We have been frequenting Martha's Backyard for years. Excellent service, wonderful selection of American products at a reasonable price. We love to pop in and say hello and grab a tasty treat every time we are in the area. With COVID and lockdowns we have begun to use the website to order items, when items are not listed on the site, if you ring them and ask if it is in store they will set it aside for you and you can buy "Martha's Bucks" on the website in the exact dollar amount for your order. They don't just have all of your favourite American treats and foods they have other items you can't find anywhere in New Zealand such as cleaning products, holiday decorations, yankee candles, personal care items and more. Thank you so much for bringing a bit of back home to New Zealand.

They are doing so well to be open but limited stock to what they used to have, really hard for them as stock has to come from USA 🇺🇸 don't have the items we used to buy but we buy odd products to try and support them...keep sming guys 😀

Everyone adhered to covid restrictions in store. I was happy to see that. There was only a handful of people but I still enjoyed shopping there. The counter person was helpful and happy so I loved it. Thank you staff at Martha's Backyard

As an American living in NZ I really appreciate being able to buy products that make me feel nostalgic and not so homesick. I love being able to have sunflower seeds while I watch MLB! It’s the little things :)

OH MY AMERICAN HEART. How have I lived here for a year so far without shopping here? Maybe that's why I couldn't contain my smile seeing the oh so familiar cornbread boxes, Cheetos, dressings, seasonings, soft drinks, mac n cheese, and more! I'm sad but understanding that they don't have any cold section since that'd be even harder to import those items. Fairly well organised inside even if it doesn't look like it. They'll also have some shelves of more stuff that isn't just food.

It had many great items from the US which made me super nostalgic as I’m originally from Texas. I’d recommend this store to anyone looking for good US and Mexican products that are hard to find in NZ. There may not be a market for it yet, but I’d recommend more Mexican candies, sodas, and food products. There also weren’t too many of the wide variety of US breakfast cereals. Overall though, it was a fun place to shop at or browse around.

Usually fully stocked, but due to delays from the USA - shelves pretty empty. Not their fault to those commenting about stock levels!!! Otherwise love coming here n buying candy, cookies & peanut brittle lol. Keen to try smores when stock is in :)

Great place to visit if you're looking for US goods and food items. I usually buy their hazelnut flavoured creamer, perfect for my iced coffee ☕ Too bad the don't have much stock recently (especially for chips) but that's understandable, given to current situation.

Absolutely amazing. Hands down my favourite store in Auckland. This place has all the best foods from America. Nothing healthy in here. Trans-fat heaven! In a world of fat shaming, health advertisements, fast food vilification, and bloody vegans, this place is a sanctuary. I like this place so much that when I die I would like to be buried under the store in a giant Hostess box.

I think this is the American store, yep it was good to support our great great grand pappy. The food and goods seem fair and of a variety. It is a bit pricey but the goods come from the USA, or affiliates. I tried a packet of red liquorice, bjt the NZ brand is better tasting. However there are other good products for customers to choose from...happy shopping

Very cool place if you are an expat, have traveled to the USA, or love the novelty of USA products. It's a great store with reasonable prices on product. The mostly do grocery lines but there is a small pet section and general merchandise. You will also find some health and beauty product.

This store was a lucky find for me. They had exactly what I wanted at a cheaper price than any other supplier in NZ, their free shipping on items totaling $20 or more was an unexpected bonus, the goods arrived on the 3rd day and they even included a little Thank Gift of a piece of candy . I am pretty sure they have a lot more stock than what you see listed so it would be worth contacting them to ask if there is something you specially want and can't buy here in NZ. It is great to find such good customer service. Highly Recommended.

Even with me rushing to their store from Whangarei and barely making it in time, the staff were fantastic, they didn't have the items I specifically went in for but the customer service made up for it, really great experience all round and I absolutely love getting the chance to pop in and see what they have to offer, 100% would recommend.

Nice American stuff but they've done away with the Weber products and other favourite BBQ condiments. Some of the items (chipotle sauce, nachos etc) much dearer than other stores. Perhaps source from a local supplier? Loved the store but don't go there as much anymore.

The best place in Auckland by far to get American food. This store is great because it is not a gimmicky place. It's more just like a small US supermarket. Prices can be a little expensive sometimes but this is justified considering it is more of a specialty store.

What can I say...fantastic selection of products from the states, the prices are a bit high, but then again the costs for purchasing and shipping from the states isn't cheap, it's pretty balanced at the end of the day. The staff...fantastic group of folks. Well worth the trip from down south!!

Fun assortment of stuff to feed (literally) nostalgia in expats and let Kiwis sample some of the best/worst of American shelf-stable food. Especially good for Mexican and Tex-Mex food supplies. Nice for some kinds of toiletries and household goods that are difficult or impossible to find in NZ.

You can request items, and they'll add it to their next shipment from North America. Been shopping there since they were on Lunn ave, then moved to their current BIGGER location. Going camping this weekend and wanted to share with my worldly friends the beauty that is s’mores. Very easy to find and warm greeting on entering. There are heaps of different products ranging from breakfast cereals and poptarts to life saver candys and sloppy joe mix. Was also really nice to see things for thanksgiving, not only decorations but there were pies crusts and canned pumpkin! Also managed to find some Hanukkah decorations which are VERY rare to find here. The cashier was very kind and while there had initially been a long queue it went quite quickly. Highly recommended if you are from N. America looking for goodies/decorations from back home or if you just want to explore some foods from America.

I liked coming to Martha's for numerous reasons. If you like snacks from the US, they have a great selection and the prices aren't outrageous. Also if you like Mexican inspired food, they stock awesome soft tortillas and also Masa flour to make your own. If you like American bbq sauces then there is a huge selection! Plus a lot of chilli sauces and other condiments. The other good thing is the party supplies at super cheap prices. All occasions are well catered for, especially Xmas, Easter, 4th July and Halloween.

They have plenty of the processed foods America grew up on with choices like Campbell's Condensed Cream of Mushroom soup (not the watery kiwi version), Cheetos, Frenchie's Fried Onions, Captain Crunch, Jet Puff Marshmallows, Hamburger Helper, etc. If you're missing home you'll likely find something at Martha's to tie you over until you're next trip. My favorite product they carry is Trader Jose's Salsas. I wish I could find Bone Sucking Sauce and Secret deodorant (stick) or even more Mexican food products (e.g. La Palma red enchilada sauce) but overall they have enough stock to help ward off minor homesickness.

Dawn platinum dish soap!!!! Only place in New Zealand I've found that has Dawn soap, and thankfully they even had the platinum version. All of the NZ brands of dishwashing soap are weak. Also had several types of tide, Apple Jacks, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Jiff, peanutbutter , flaming hot Cheetos... So many essentials.
