A.m.a.z.i.n.g. I love this new world as they have such great cakes and fresh bread unlike all the other supermarkets right now. I am obsessed with this supermarket, but only in the mall because they're the only ones who seem to have fresh food. Wish they could get the British and international food back in!

Really impressed with young man at seafood bar today, I was enquiring about bluff oysters, none available, he advised they could contact me if some became available, was out of my usual location so declined offer but customer service excellent. My local has never offered me the same service. Thank you

I love the variety and cleanliness of this store. One of my favourite New World branches when I head to the North Shore. It was nice to be greeted when entering the store by a smiling staff member. She really made me feel welcome.

Blown away with the quality of meat especially the beautiful thick sirloin steaks. Pity you don't stock Angus mince. Very helpful young man in the wine section this morning, it was appreciated even though what I was after isn't stocked due to high alcohol content, he knew what I was talking about. Shelves are better stocked than other New World supermarkets.

My local weekly shop. Always pleasant experience.Most of the best beauty products are only online. Quietly waiting for countdown in Oteha to open. Won't have to shop between the Pakiez and New World to achieve a full shop.

Such a great supermarket for people with special diets! I am vegan and there is nearly a whole corner of the shop dedicated to just gluten free and vegan items. They always have alternative to Easter and Christmas food too! They have an extraordinary bakery with copious vegan cupcakes and pastries for regular diets too. A+++

Good selection of fruit and veg as well as the fresh fish and massive meat sections. Overall a good shopping experience, pity its situated at the end of the mall. Great selection of exotic cheeses as well as country specific products. Always a treat to get fresh cold meats and salads from the delicatessen and a wide variety of breads, cakes, muffins, cup cakes etc. at the Bakery. They also have a good selection of wines. Great supermarket to shop at. Reccomended to future customers. Ample parking for customers. Only changes are to accommodate the covid requirements, but it is still a pleasure to shop here. Please be kind to others and the staff, they are making our shopping easier.

A very nice supermarket. As I'm into concrete I couldn't help but notice the nice polished concrete floor, looks good. However, on closer inspection, it's got a lot of crazing and cracks, whoever did it was probably working on a poor substrate. I would love to give it a go and fix it, or at least fix what can be fixed 😎. Can't help being more into concrete than supermarkets, but it's a great location, well stocked, good size, I'm sure that the locals love it. Would be close to perfect, except for the floor... Once I see it I cannot unsee it...🙂

Came in yesterday to buy some gluten free products for my daughter to try as she was just diagnosed celiac. The girl at the checkout was more than helpful. Quite talkative and cheerful so I told her about my daughter and all the new stuff we were trying. To which she started to give me some recommendations of different things to try and even some local restaurants I can take my daughter to. Not sure of her name but quite thankful to the girl with the maori designs on her mask for all her help. Great to see someone with so much knowledge of products that goes above and beyond. Cheers New World Albany I'll be coming back often

Saw another review about the checkout girl with the Maori designs on her mask and if its the same girl abby Ive been served by i want to compliment her more. I made a point to look at her name tag as on Tuesday as ive often been served by her and get great service every time. Ive been shopping for four households over lockdown and this girl works very hard to make it easy for me. She always offers to keep my orders seperate in the packing area which is not easy when i have so many items but she does her best. In my experience all the new world checkout people are very friendly and its so nice to have a chat with them. Definitely recommend new world albany to others

Today I went with my mom to buy some supplies, we went to get some snacks for later. The snacks weren’t crushed it was excellent quality at a reasonable price. Honestly, I don’t know which supermarket is the best out of new world, count down, and paknsave, honestly the three of you are all well done.

Great store with lots of premium range. Specially a good choice of vegetarian and vegan frozen meals. Only a 4 star due to the self serve checkouts are incredibly slow!! So painful to use. Hobsonville store and Countdown’s have much better machines.

Lots of tills were open so there was a very short waiting time to get through. Awesome. Also the shopping experience was enhanced by several people offering tastings of food and wine. Lots of choice. New set out of fruit and vegetables area was a surprise. I think I like it. You can scan the area faster and find what you need.

Very nice Kiwi decor, bright, warm, friendly colours. Good selection and they brought in a strong hot chocolate I like which they didn't originally have which I asked them to do and which they now stock which impressed me. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful, their milk bottles are NEVER covered in dripping milk from other leaky bottles as unlike Countdown, they vet all their bottles into the fridge themselves instead of having them delivered directly by the supplier, who don't care if you end up with a wet bottle that will end up soaking into your bags and stinking eventually. Never see this problem at Pak N Save Albany either for the same reason. My only gripe is the price. TYhis is not the cheapest place to shop and the fact that after we pay extra we still have to pay for bags which should be free if they are paper.

Has the Biggest selection of deli foods and hot meals to go that I have ever seen in a supermarket. The bakery section is also huge. Excellent selection of birthday cakes, decorated cup cakes, hot savories and breads. Excellent service too 😊👍

Absolutely one of the best supermarkets in NZ. Quality and price number one but you get whatever you are searching for. However, I miss the strawberry covered chocolates in their product by weight section which they no more bring in but that was absolute heaven if you know what I mean..ask any astute chef if that's a match made by the God's..

Love New World, and the fact that it's inside the mall is so convenient. You can go buy the groceries while the other half of the family is in retail therapy! it's just nice to have everything in one place, and this New World is not massive, so you can get your shopping done rather quick.

It is a quality customer experience and although the prices are higher than pak n Slave, the range of diversify is worth every cent. Now...New world....please clone albany shop in silverdale!! This New World’s bakery food is delicious and there is quite a large variety. The fruit at New World has a large variety as well. For example, sometimes you can buy blueberries or strawberries in winter. It’s location is really convinient because it is in the mall so you can get you groceries after doing some shopping.

Coming from SA this is the quality and pricing of Woolworths. Love the isle with some local SA "kos" to satisfy the stomach. Fresh veg and fruit last longer than the competing grocers like Pack n Save. Meat is also good and a wide variety. Helpful staff and love the self checkouts.

I love this New World. Their layout is perfect and there isn't a lot of "Trolley-congestion" during peak hours. However, I would hope for perhaps a wider range of products. Although they certainly have the basics in place. Great!

There's usually a decent beer selection including craft beers. Sometimes they have this double (triple?) chocolate stout that's delicious and I haven't found it anywhere else. Next to the beer they also have a pretty cool and original international area featuring speciality items from Europe and exotic England. The deli is huge and flash compared to most New Worlds. There's a $2 shop and toilets right by it but it's at the tail end of the mall so another reason not to park in their car park (it's impossible). Unless it's early or late, then super convenient to dash in.

You can get products from here that you can't find elsewhere, also you can get 6 cents off every litre at a Mobil petrol station if you shop here (there's a good Mobil in the area too) Its well spaced out, it's clean and has a fairly friendly staff

Maybe I don't get out much but I was amazed by the "game meat" section of this supermarket. I've certainly never seen anything like that at a Wellington New World. Ostrich, quail, poussin, duck and kangaroo. It might be time to bust out the Julia Child cookbook again!
