Very good P&S. Fruit and veggies very fresh. Love their Roast Port and their lamb is a bit cheaper than other places on the shore. Can do my full weeks shopping there. One stop shop.

Excellent place to shop, can always get a good special in the meat department. Everything is extra clean & well presented. Ready cooked meal choices are great. Reasonable prices most days😊

A large super market with everything setup well, it has plenty of parking and space to navigate the aisles, most of the brands you need and a larger meat and vegetable selection than I have seen in other supermarkets. Being located off Wairau Road makes it very easy and convenient to get to, am happy to have this as my new regular place to do our household food shopping.

In addition to their excellent prices, huge product range and genuinely helpful staff, one of the things I greatly enjoy when shopping at this P&S is having my age checked to ensure I am over 21 when I buy a few bottles of wine. Hehehe... I am 74 this month. 🍷😋🧞

I like the competitive prices here which are fairly cheaper than other supermarkets. I would be more thankful if they can add the brand of chicken and meat as I am always after the halal complient brands

Handy. Well set out. Parking is always a breeze, between 10am and 2pm.

With all 3 major supermarkets on the shore out of gluten free chicken tenders & nuggets for all brands - your store had a large supply yesterday of gf chick tenders with ginger & soy, well done to your buyers Really well done!

Good range of fruit and veg. The bakery isn't as big as others but it's well laid out and doesn't fill packed

This supermarket is always super busy, but in saying that the array of fruit and vegetables at good prices is probably the best on the Northshore. Their bakery bread is really nice and they stock plenty of dry and canned goods such as noodles, rice, international food, vegan/vegetarian options etc.

Love it, love the specials, love the variety/options. Staff are happy, there a nice energetic bunch especially those who work the shelf stocking in the isles. Always friendly, will help if they can with questions. Covid staff security were always happy to be of service, music always eased the nerves through this time. Also the grounds look good, nice and clean the gardens there is less rubbish in them so who ever is cleaning up outside. Needs a big congratulations . You guys do good for the numbers pak & save. Happy customer.

Good quality of products are in cheap price. It's one of the best Pak N Save in Auckland.

Normally I don't review supermarkets. But this one sells pieces of lovely hot roast pork with crackle in their deli section. Worth getting if you're there.

It's like driving in a new country on the wrong side of the road except everyone speaks different languages and is blind and gets distracted so easily they forget to drive and crash more times than a test dummy. Manuevering through the lanes is more of an Olympic sport than rally car driving. I hope everyone is blind and high because they all goddam drive their carts like it. Great food and prices.

Checkout staff are approachable and helpful, grocery staff are quite unaware of their surroundings and lack customer service skills. Good selection of groceries and some products are really well priced, couple dollars cheaper than Countdown in the mall. Not all products, just some, like Frozen Blueberries.

Great place for groceries.. fantastic selections of just about everything... Their fruits and vegetables choice is very good.. recently they are doing modification and I think it will get even better.. the only thing I can mention is they don't have small trollies ( atleast I couldn't find one) only big one which is not very convenient if you only need few items...

Always do my shopping here and usually they have different bargains compared to countdowns.

I really don’t like how busy this store is and the old layout was a nightmare. But the with the newer layout, a little bit more open space is totally appreciated.

Heaps of parking including disabled car parks. All outdoor parking, however most have a covered walkway between parking aisles so the shopping and the trolley stays dry! Very large PaknSave with a much better array of affordable meat and especially very affordable seafood e.g Whole Octopus $13, different cuts of a whole salmon$14, large trays of mud crabs $12 etc!! I found the aisles wide enough to get 3 trolleys down at the same time so no traffic jams. Very clear and logical layout of store. People of all sizes and equipment e.g. wheelchair would find shopping in this store more comfortable than smaller shops like Countdown where its 2 trolley aisles really.. and barely that. Shop is all Ground level including outside so very easy to get around and to vehicles. Car park lanes etc well laid out so easy to navigate no matter what size car. Excellent sales all the time, boxes of rdduced cost everydsy things like laundry through to crackers and rubbks bags, a whole range of items, as you enter the store and fruit & veg seem to be cheaper than stores like Countdown plus they're never out of essentials, like different types of kumara's like other stores e.g Countdown 👍🏻😀 Great shop 9/10 (only a 9 as sometimes staff stocking up shelves leave boxes all over the place) however you can just pick up any empty boxes laying around and use to pack shopping into the car - found that out from a manager there 1 visit, as I forgot to grab a bag and I couldn't hold all my shopping in my arms, so she let me back into the store to choose a box then come through again without being harassed about walking past tills. A huge amount of trust on her part and excellent customer service. Totally recommend👍😀.

Good pricing, often very busy but you don't have to wait too long to be served. Loads of parking

CHECK THE EXPIRY DATES. On Five different visits I have found food that had expired!!!!! One was RAW CHICKEN that had expired the day before, still sitting there to be sold. Ponsonby pies, pretty much the whole lot (about 30) had expired.

good good loads of stuff like food, but if you dont want food but want like a lawnmower, this aint the place, but head down the road to mitre ten and theve got you.

This paknsave has really good prices and a bigger than usual selection of meat cuts and seafood to choose from .

Today I shopped at PAKnSAVE Wairau and I wish to share how much the alterations have improved access for people with physical disabilities. The additional Disability Parking spaces, plus improved manoeuvering space has made such a huge improvement. Thank you, on behalf of those who struggle with their shopping. Stuart Ross

Shopping today, sun 5th april 2020. Very impressed with all the measures taken to ensure everyone stays safe. Hand sanitiser as you go in, numbers limited to allow safe distances, staff very alert and shelves fairly well stocked. Well done pak & save wairau rd.👍😄

This place was often too crowded but their new developments are making this store a more spacious and pleasant environment. Looking forward to the completion of this project.

Usually really good. Went there today and saw someone I knew, went to say hi obviously keeping our distance and a staff member came and told us it's one person per household, we told him we just knew each other and he continuously followed me around the store like I was doing something wrong. Made me feel uncomfortable so I just decided to leave.

Seems to be reasonable although food here is expensive compared to other countries and going up all the time you should be able to buy dairy cheap here.Bring in so.e outside shops for some competition European ones all supermarkets owned by same people here all a rip off really .

Great seafood section. Great selection of food section. Reasonable price super market. No need for silly point cards to get special. Everything is good price already. Recommend this store for all your grocery needs.

A Re-evaluation. 20th May 2022: 8:20am I consider Pak n save petrol stations to be the low cost petrol in the Auckland area at the moment c'oz when you shop with Pak n save your grocery shop receipt that takes 6 cents off your petrol fill. I used two yesterday to half fill my car and it only cost me $25 and for those that know my reviews also know how big my car is not very big at all. I know you can get 06c off gas from BP using your One card or from Z using you Flybuys but can you do that twice in one fill? 🤔 Nope I don't think so those discounts are daily but at Pak n savie as long as you have the receipt from buying something inside 💥BOOM💥 12c savings or if your game to do more savings then why not?

Staff here are amazing. I.have been shopping here for many years. Usually buy my meat here. Many a bargain to be found. Of course i have an xmas club as well. Heaps of parking unless it's a long weekend.

Usually a decent store with good selection. However ther fruit and vege stock is sometimes low quality with high prices.

Entrance and exit rather disorganized, parking area not safe for pedestrians. Fair value for shopping though

This PAK' n SAVE is massive. The food quality is better than any others I have tried. Just make sure to do your shopping at the quieter hours as parking can prove to be a challenge

Nice large supermarket. Great deals. Good product range like any other paknsave. Edit Feb 2022. Nice and easy layout for both quick and long shopping trips. The new layout is highly improved and lets one bypass from produce section directly to checkouts. Staff are very helpful and nice. All precautions are in place for covid related lockdowns. Always a good experience shopping here.

Its a bit of a squashed environment compared to other pak n saves which are double the size. Bit messy outside with receipts and rubbish flying around everywhere during peak times and trolleys not returned to trolley bays, I see that they're upgrading it which is well overdue since the size of it is probably suited to 90's auckland

Quite disappointing out of all these supermarkets. Superb produce and friendly staff - that's for sure. Heaps of parking, too. However, their range of products they stock aren't very diverse (and no, I'm not just referring to ethnic foods). Compare it to My Albert, Sylvia Park or even Henderson and it's not only smaller... but it's got waaay less stuff. Also irritating is that the packaged meats, baked goods section and sometimes the Deli are barely stocked. Numerous times this has happened, while the employees are stocking already stocked the other aisles with manufactured goods. It's so weird. Sure, it may be 8 p.m. but there's still a store full of customers and it's not like they're just about to close or these things will go bad if stocked where they're meant to be. Plus, it's not a common occurrence with the other Pak N Saves.

What can I say, it's a huge supermarket. The produce selection is good? The coffee selection is not so good, but that seems to be the case with every supermarket. Beer selection is good

Friendly staff and always heaps of fresh produce deals - lots of availability of groceries in general, even during Lockdown, and the door security are engaging and helpful.

Amazing staff always quick to help great customer service always polite even when there's hundreds of people in the store and everyone is trying to find something and they're trying to do their job and people keep bugging them so always grateful for their help absolutely amazing deals easy to fill the fridge and freezer thank you the filling my tummy

My favorite PAK'nSAVE is Wairau Rd... THE PIE'S ARE THE BEST IN ALL NZL. I couldn't keep it a secret! And I Love the the flower display with reason-able prices and they do delivery fantastic at least I know my choice will be loved by the recipient. Deli is good lots of choices and the food is yummy. The cooks in the back give great variety. Fish mart always fresh. Great meat selection. I always order my Salmon for new years eve here...Staff friendly and helpful. Shop in between hi traffic times or order online. Even-though it can get really busy it always look clean...

Store very cramped up, some staff try their best to be friendly while others think that you're just another person. Never regarded me as an essential worker, no wonder most of my shopping is done in Albany store.

P n S is a very spacious with large aisleways. Unfortunately the specials appear to be near the entrance way, and you are immediately having to jossle your way through the shoppers going through the specials boxes. Also the main isles can be very very crowded in the weekend.

Great prices lots of variety.

Great value and good quality of products overall. I did a survey once for this store indicating improvements and not saying that they listened to me directly but I have seen many changes that I have suggested. It now makes shopping here quite better.

Pretty good but still learning which aisle to head for e.g. logically to me I expect baking paper to b near baking ingredients. It takes me a few times to change my thinking on items whereabouts that I don't buy so regularly but I eventually reprogram my brain.

You can buy a large serving of roasted pork for family dinner. It comes with green peas, potatoes, and pumpkin chunks topped up with some sauce. Packed in an aluminium container and it cost around $19, very tasty.

Seems to be one of the cheapest paknsaves out there. The selection isn't as good on a few items. Good selection of caught fish. Good selection of meat. Seems to have good selection of Asian food. Still cheaper to go to Asian supermarkets for asian food, fruit and vegetables. Has a good pie/bakery selection.

By and large a good place to shop just do not trust the big red tags as under them often it was the same price so it is not a special at all, the bakery is not cheap ever even when it's $5 special week,

Love the prices. The only thing I don't like are the crowds. Its always busy!

Prices are good but i hate going here because it's always too crowded even now they have extended it it's still frustrating. i never want to go there on a weekend again, everyone gets in everyone's way. it's hard to shop like that. Especially if you want to take your time choosing an item.

Usual wide range of supermarket products at competitive prices. Parking was limited due to amount of customers at the time I visited, but trolleys available. Plenty of space inside, so didn't feel over-crowded.

Went during Level 4 lockdown last week, everyone was socially distanced pretty well and wore masks. Workers also provided hand sanitizer when you went in and exited, also provided qr codes to scan.

Convenient shopping on the North Shore @reasonable prices especially during the covid-19 lockdowns.. Most definitely beat the opposition supermarkets 😁

Ample parking, staff at checkouts are nice. The staff working the floor especially of a supervisory level do not acknowledge you and It's a little bit hard to get down the isles when they have the big stock ladders in the isle when it's busy & 2 staff working off them so there is hardly room to move also the boxes of beer are not very cold from the big walk in fridge, it is a good store to quickly pop in out of for small shops

Have shopped here right through the lockdown. Very well organised and never had to wait long to get in. Generally good space available for social distancing. Not all customers were taking the situation as seriously as they should, but most were. A few items, particularly flour not always available but plenty of fresh vegetables and meat. Checkout experience good.

We shop here every week and every week we come out satisfied! Well sometimes it gets too crowded on Weekends but that is completely understandable. It is spacious, line doesn't get too long. It has all your basic needs. Well presented, hygienic and clean. If they started using paper bags then I would give them 6/5 stars.

Big selection and good prices

As good as any PnS. Parking fills up quickly, but perhaps it's due to the holiday season. Even better (less crowded) when it's not the Christmas season!

Variety of vegetables and other groceries. Fresh whole fish available with free onsite scaling, cleaning and cut to stakes service. Completely different to supermarkets selling fresh ungutted and unscaled fish.

Very busy supermarket with shelves always well stocked. They have good meat and fresh fish selection with prices from $4 upwards. Lots of Indian staff who are helpful and friendly. Boxes in good supply for carting home the shopping and plenty of trolleys. My only gripe is the lack of parking unless you go early or late at night. Also people marking my car when opening their car doors because the car spaces are quite narrow.

Apart from disappointing disability parking due to construction, it's a great place to shop. Disability parking needs policing, better access and more parking spaces.

Easy access, staff very friendly and helpful. I enjoy shopping there for a few reasons: the shelves are always stocked up, the space between the shelves are far apart. So there is enough space in the aisles for shoppers with their trolleys. Plenty of parking, even when very busy you will always find a car park. I find their groceries much cheaper than other supermarkets.

Incredible array of fresh vegetables to cater for all nations. So fresh looking.

A really busy shop and always difficult to find a park. The is store alterations happening so it's a bit. Messy. Go to Albany pack and save as your plan B

Shopping at this pak'nSave is always a pleasure, the staff here are friendly and helpful, unfortunately they also get to experience some very rude and obnoxious customers from time to time but also handle these people with politeness, and kindness, this is what I got to see while shopping there today.

very well run super market quite good. be aware however that advertised prices do not include tax. most major super markets include tax in price on shelves. despite this pak n save is less expensive overall than other grocery stores.

I had an ok experience today. Although its quite frustrating with the amount of people just all over the place in the isles, particularly the meat section. We've had a group discussion and we think it might be a good idea to do a coloured strip down the centre of the isles (maybe yellow) goes with the theme. This lane could be a no stop area. Overall nice and clean place, and checkout staff extremely friendly.

Very busy Sunday afternoon. All checkouts open. Queues of up to 4 at each with full trolleys. I used self service for my 3 purchases. 2 staff members on hand to quickly attend to any questions from customers. Only had 1 minute wait. Very convenient.

Great service went in to get a Big order of meat for a hangi and gladly even though we would've usually had to pre order they were able to get us the meat and cut it up, toke about half hour but we got what we needed. clean store, only used self service so cant say much about checkout speed etc. Well stocked shelves and had the products we needed.

This supermarket is well priced and always has lots of specials. It is usually pretty busy and crowded. It has a large car park. The store lay out makes it difficult for doing a quick shop as you are forced to walk down several isles.

Had a great experience going through the checkouts on one of the busiest days of the year. The person who served me was fantastic not only did he manage to keep the conversation interesting, he managed to repack all my full load of groceries into the next trolley in order. When I had put them on the belt in total chaos. Just a little bit extra on a busy day before Christmas 🎄

Great store. Great pricing and specials. Everything is easy to find and well laid out. Customer service is pretty good too. It is a very busy store though, so parking is a mission and also it is particularly hard to get out of the car park onto porana road. But other than that. I have no complaints.

products are little more cheap, they have more variety but place is small for many people.

Busy day - it was a $5 weekend and it was packed as hell. Probably made the place seem a little messier and crowded than usual. There isn't benches for you to pack your groceries on - which is odd, as most Pak 'n' Save places offer that convenience. Otherwise, friendly service with a smile and very well stocked considering it was the Sunday evening grocery shopping for most families.

I always go here to buy my girlfriend's dad cashew nuts. So like if you're thinking of a good gift to impress, I suggest going here to buy your cashew nuts. Teehee

Great prices and lots of parking, though you may need to walk a bit when busy. Not always the widest selection of brands / choices and sometimes even their regular stuff has run out but otherwise my first choice. I am price driven and as long as store is clean and safe and most things available I am happy.

Great as always. This Pak N Save stands out as the best store for all of your bulk food items. Due to the size you can get lost in there but that's the way I like it. Proudly New Zealand owned and operated. You constantly get the best value on food.

Good pricing on everyday products. Lots of clearance & manager specials for short dated items- excellent if you have a deep freeze at home. It's a shame owners don't employ staff to pick up the plastic, receipts & rubbish laying & blowing around in the gardens &carpark& curbs in their carpark. Always very very busy from 3:30pm to 7:30 pm daily.

The prizes of the products are quite affordable though the check out cashier "Amara" not even responded when I say thank you after I've received the receipt. Unlike the other check out cashier who are very polite and pleasant.

Really busy a lot of the time but the range of items is very diverse. It's my go-to place for groceries but their fancy cheese display is usually kept too warm so wouldnt recommend that.

Large supermarket with a reasonable range of products. Some good specials from time to time but products not on special often are above average prices elsewhere. Almost always crowded with long lines for the checkouts. I often call in to check the specials for that week but I do my regular shop elsewhere.

Standard supermarket and good selection of groceries, and clean. Parking may be a bit hard to find during peak hours (it gets congested too) so you have to be patient and wait a bit. Petrol station is located next to it, and easy access from the main Wairau Rd.

Most enjoyable no lines security guards were very good smile on there faces and very polite check out operator was very friendly keep up the good work guys

Pack and try to save and try not to get rammed. I have to go there at least once a month to get brinks chicken. If not I wouldn't go there is is always crowded, last time a dude rammed me with his cart didn't even apologize.

Great grocery prices. Easy to get around with a lot of room once you know the store. Just don't forget to bring boxes or baskets etc to put your groceries into after your shop as there are no plastic bags or packing in-store.

Soooo busy. Generally better value than other supermarket chains.

Place seems to be always busy but to be expected! Its central to Shore city so covers a good area, hard to believe the competition kept them out of this area for decades. I guess the people won in the end! Prices are competitive but not for everything and also they dont stock every brand that you may want, I think everyone knows the deal anyway.

Not enough parking and they don't stock all the normal brands of cheese and milk

Can improve with the customer service

Good layout cheaper by about 5% than closer supermarkets. Downside is too many dairy and take away owners shop as well there filling their trolleys with the specials to replenish their shops and causing a grid lock at the check out counters.

Better prices than most other supermarkets, but range is more limited. I still go to Countdown for the things I can't get here. Many customers seem to be zombies who don't notice that there are other people trying to do their shopping there too. The other thing, the whole checkout system needs an ergonomic redesign.

Update: came here a number of times a few years ago and it would stink so I refused to come back. Gave them another shot recently and it didn't smell at all. Very busy but not much of a wait at the checkout at all. Would shop here again. 2 years ago: Stinks of bad fish and meat and you must walk past the fish/meat department to get to the rest of the store. I only visit here when I have to. Definitely not recommended.

While the products are usually amazing the place just gets too packed.. What doesn't help is the packers leave their trolleys around causing more traffic. Anyway worth the shop if you want decent and well priced goods

One of the best supermarkets that I love to visit. Huge parking area, definitely no parking issue. Open and wide area inside with everything you need. Flowers available. Fresh coffee cargo shop right next to the entrance.

Being from Whitianga we don't get to shop at P & P often. Bit of a surprise that prices weren't what we expected. Not that much different from Countdown in our little old town. We foolishly shopped on a Tuesday afternoon in school holidays and it was rather chaotic, not helped by the fact that P & P trolleys are a big as a 16 wheeler. Positives - plenty of parking, produce good quality, staff very friendly and helpful. Salmon on special was $33.49 per kg. Good quality.

It's a busy shop, so you have to time it right and try not to go on busy times. Parking can be quite a challenge not to mention navigating quite a narrow alleyways with trolleys and people blocking every corner during busy times. It can be quite frustrating and challenging. Lighting could be better and as it's a budget store, the options of products are quite narrow.

Was great full of shoppers though. The sanertiser by door by new parking place empty. Should let staff check those on the walls and around inside the store.

Good prices. Store a little run-down but off your coming here it's fir tge cheaper food.. Check out times good. Handy to the motorway. Can get a yummy roast meal if they haven't run out.

Five stars for the extreme value for money compared to any place else on the North Shore. That said; when ALDI arrives everyone's prices will tumble; including Pack and Save. Sunday nights are a Zoo and best to stay away. Staff are not friendly and yes the store always looks dirty and a mess but it is the volume of shoppers they cope with. I forgive them for everything because it must be the busiest store in NZ. If I spend $50 at New World or Countdown the same shop is going to cost me $35 at Pack and Save.

Good bargains to be found and variety of products. Make sure to do price comparisons as depending on what you purchase it could workout to be more expensive. Overall it is cheaper than the other supermarkets. Car park can be busy and a little frustrating.

Love this shopping center great range excellent discounts and nice big and spacious so your not bumping in to other shoppers , they have help staff walking the shop floor that are always friendly and helpful

Your first challenge is to get through the crushing trolleys at the vege section and then the gauntlet in the meat section. Once you get through these areas it's a pleasant shop. The range is great, the prices are low and the team members are nice. A self service fuel station is also there so it's very convenient.

Very inconsistent with who they let into the supermarket, but good variety of groceries and prepackaged food.

It is one "if not the only one" of the cheapest supermarket chain in NZ with varieties of fresh produc and multiple products. Moreover, it is not about the price. Their customer service level is high. I am in love of PAK'nSAVE. 😎

It's fine as far as supermarkets go

It was raining...there was only 1 way in and 1 way out....i had my shopping and use a walking stick as i have just had surgery....no one offered support to my car w an umbrella the staff at the door just watched everyone trudge through the heavy rain...there were elderly needing help....not very caring really and they showed that in their actions....caring attitudes are part of the person we are...you can't be taught manaaki

Its nice to shop at a different pak and save once in awhile. Pak and Save Wairau have a few different products as well as different sales to Albany Pak and Save. Went early this morning so there weren't too many people. Its normally very, very busy over the weekends.

Always a pleasure shopping there. Lots of variety, fresh produce in all departments. Very friendly helpful staff. Great prices. Spacious aisles. Highly recommend going there.

Hate using their giant trolleys. Makes me buy more than i intended ✊. But is very cheap. Even compared to west Auckland supermarkets.

Too crowded, people not logically flowing through the aisles, congested, will stick to our local in future, it was only as we in the area convenience shop for us tho. Checkout staff was pleasant

Really good value. I buy lunch here almost daily. There's also a lot more range in the meat/deli/seafood section here compared to other PAKn'SAVE branches and big supermarkets. Love it.

The trolleys are full size with no shopping baskets as an option. Shoppers are all forced to use huge trolleys so navigating in this busy super market is very stressful. Trying to find easy parking is also very stressful here. Overall good prices, but a stressful experience.

Parking can be difficult at times. Has some good deals. Don't let you take the smaller trolleys outside. Only Pak n Save that I know of that does this and when you have back problems lifting heavy items out of deep trolleys is not easy

5 dollar week, but busy. The day to day stuff is pretty cheap; meat, bread, eggs etc, but they don't have the best selection. For example, only two brands of hummus (all of which have preservative 202) and they don't sell tuna pockets so I have to go to countdown for those things.

Only downfall is the vege department. Mold fruit, every time I go in. But the standard items are a good price

Almost all kinds of foods in cheapest price in nz that you can find there. Very popular shopping place in North Shore, Auckland.

Love this supermarket. They have just expanded parking area, which is fantastic, as during weekend it can be hard to find parking.

Staff are usually friendly. Often packed here and difficult to find parking at times. People seem less considerate of each other at this pak n save than other supermarkets on the shore. Staff often leave little to no room to get past in aisles when they are restocking shelves (often leaving boxes/trollies stacked on both sides of the aisle so it can be difficult to manoeuvre trollies). Good produce, meats, deli and bakery items available most of the time.

Better prices then countdown and other supermarkets,excellent hot food section for your savoury meal needs on the run.checkout and self service kiosks available with a lotto store on site.very large range of products.try avoid peak periods as the isles and lines pack up,and Car parks are very limited @this site.

Gragged some wine and things while getting New Tyres at Tyre Tech lSaturday June 6th had our queue as usual Pacific Island Security Guard was Fantastic so to the Massive Nice Indian Guard on the other side he was so funny and nice staff were all delightful

Good store but a bit too busy for my liking. And they don't let you take the small trolleys out of the store like other locations. Easier to shop at Albany location.

We regularly do the weekly shopping at this supermarket. Always tends to be good value, good produce and a fast checkout. We find the Wairau Rd PAK'nSAVE to be generally the best value for all our grocery shopping. In particular, they have an excellent and relatively low-priced range of foods that appeal to SE Asian families like ours, and it evidently attracts a lot of SE Asians as a result. This is our favourite PAK'nSAVE, with the one in Sylvia Park coming a close second. Note that not all PAK'nSAVE stores have the same/identical range of produce. Highly recommended.

This is one of the biggest supermarkets in North Shore... Love coming here for all the deals and variety of foods... the only let down was the amount of boxes or products on the floor... it seems to be no matter what time you shop there are always boxes not yet on the shelf... I think maybe they should build more shelves rather than a storage on floors... alot of traffic and times where you are avoiding the boxes as well as the people in there

Pak N Save in Wairau is the best branch I've ever visited. Wide array of food selection which are not available in Albany branch.

I am visiting here. .. I found that even though Wairau PaknSav is a huge supermarket and there were lots of people .. I am pleased with my experience . courteous customers, friendly staff, and surprised at the cost of the shopping...my son in law was very impressed , he thought the bill would be over $300 but was glad to have at just over $200...and all his favourite foods too ..( my daughter, his wife, is over seas, so I am here on Nana duty.) I gave 5 stars for my review ..

Not bad but very busy. Has wheelchair trolly at request, has baked goods ready to go, pies and roast meals and sandwiches. Was good to get a break from Xmas music (8th/dec). Floors weren't clean and lots of boxes in the isles.

Regular shop for our weekly groceries. NOT IMPRESSED late Saturday with the messey aisles filled with boxes to be stacked and various trolleys of product or boxes left blocking the way. Crazy for late 5.00pm on a cold and wet day.

Very big supermarket with many varieties on asian brands. Love 2 for $6 2L milk deal. Dont go shopping in during weekend afternoon. Parking can be difficult.

It's aleays crazy busy in this store, even in the middle of a work week. I only go to this stire if I NEED to. Other than that, its a great store. Great variety, great prices, and huge! It does need a walk thrpigh to bypass the produce and meat section if you're juat pipping in for a couple of things though.

Visiting from England and found it reasonable as a discount supermarket compared to new world and countdown Vegetable all over new Zealand are expensive compared to England pack not save should do the super five like Tesco England 5 fruits or veg cheap as possible draws people into shop

Always have a good selection and also some reasonable prices.. Be nice if they could train the customers on how to shop and stop leaving trolleys in the middle of aisles!

This is a good supermarket and has all the basics. However if you need any ethnic speciality foods or anything other than basis then they are unlikely to stock it

Great store, meat prices good and bakery is always good but VERY BUSY! 12pm on a Saturday not a great time to go - traffic jams in all aisles.

I wish Henderson alderman dr has roast meals and all sorts, and pack n save out here in wairau road is the best value for customers to buy their own items and to get what they actually after. A++++ outstanding products and produces.

Its a reasonably well priced supermarket. NY biggest gripe is they do not stock the instant coffee we drink (they stock the brand just not the flavour) also they to not stock many of the Pam's brand which we like.

One of the cheapest stores in North Shore area, the best place to buy food. Sometimes too crowded, usually after work hours but has everything you need from lottery tickets and food to kitchen appliances and alcohol beverages.

Compared to for example Pak'nSave Albany, this one is smaller and also extremely busy specially in the weekends. Good service and nice product range though, have been shopping here for 2 years.

What you would expect from a Pak"nSave. Wide isles, alcohol, no Deli, but a bakery, the service is OK. There is a moderate sized car park with an automated petrol station attached. Bring your own bags to shop.

A bit dissatisfied, I asked Deli if they could heat up one of the pre made meals in the microwave for a few seconds. They gave me a half-assed excuse as to why it couldnt be done. If you’re spending $11 on food, it wouldn’t hurt the store to heat it up for me. I also had to spend $.50 on a fork? I understand Pak n Save is not a restaurant but it makes a pointless trip to get my lunch, if a cafe or lunch bar would have more service at an equal price than Pak n save. On the brightside. Lines were short, check out was quick and staff were professional.

This week, and increasingly so, countdown is beating PAK n Save on lower prices for the things you need as a parent. Surprising. They seem to be becoming complacent in a past vision that is not looking so flash today.

It has a bigger variety of food and cheaper than paknsave takanini. The prepackaged hot food is perfect for lunch or dina on the run and very good prices. Seafood and poultry range is also great and competitively priced

This supermarket is only good for a quick top up shop. Poor selection of items available and it's always super busy which makes getting around with a trolley challenging.

One of the best pak'n'sav in my opinion. Good size provides good selection of goods. The only downside is the parking - there are simply not enough parking spaces for the volume of business.

Its ok this store although more of a drop in quick shop as doesnt carry all the products im after so have to go too other stores for the rest...

It was chaotic. Better ways to spend a couple of hours than playing dodgems with those who can't drive a shopping trolley let alone backing out of a carpark. Who does 3 point turns to reverse from a carpark?????

PAK'nSAVE is great for your general run-rate shopping and is the place we do our weekly shop. However, don't expect to find everything you may need. For the slightly more specialist items you may have to venture off to Countdown or New World.

Busy and generally well stocked. Great deli too. Carpark and also produce and butchery areas can be a little chaotic at first though.

Most of their products are cheaper than the other grocery stores I've been in North Shore. Though they may not have all the brands you're looking for, they have some products which are similar to what you need.

Wide aisles, really busy. Found stuff kinda hard to locate. You are forced into a really long, storewide checkout walk. Don't bother of you're only going for one or two things.

I love pak'n'save but this one is crazy busy. Is hard to find a car park and its a total nightmare as soon as you walk inside. I know this is probably good for the store, to be so busy, but for me its my worst nightmare.

very busy , need more small troleys , the staff in the deli keep their back to the customer or their head down ,i counted 7staff only 1serving and 6 people waiting , this happens on a regular bases ,when they do serve you it is as if they don't want to be there ! : ( However i find the other staff freindly and helpfull!! : )

We can get all the daily item, vegetables fruits liquor under a single roof. Prices are also very competitive.

I thought the store is okay until I went to Westgate Pak'nSave. Wairau has a very limited stock compared to Westgate and looks more worn down. Otherwise ok, even though usually very crowded.

Cheapest groceries on the shore. Wide variety too, just not for the more expensive groceries. The weekly specials and good quality of produce make up for this.

Car park is hard to access coming from the north on Wairau Rd. This PAK’n’SAVE is very busy during the daylight hours during the weekend. It is a more expensive PAK’n’SAVE, but has good quality products and great produce.

This store doesn't have as much choices as other branches, however they do have the cheap prices. The lack of fresh meat counter does let it down a bit.

It's a tad bit untidy but it's in a great spot and it's great value for money...the roast pork from the deli is why we return time after time it's an awesome change from rotisserie chicken

Very very busy place. Doors into the place need to be bigger. Carparking often a problem. Fuel service okay. Could be cheaper - Albany one is better.

Typical PakNSave: spacious location, plenty of goods in stock; however, it seems that their price is slightly on the expensive side compared to the average PakNSave. Road traffic in the area, especially the Wairau Rd, is very busy; so going in and out of PakNSave can be challenging.

Got a pretty good range of food selection. I wish they had an online shopping cart though, where we can check the prices before going there.
