Such friendly helpful staff who will make you a coffee to drink while you shop. The taste testers are so handy in making decisions when purchasing. I always leave with way more than I came for. I learned from the awesome staff how to make baked Parmesan rinds. I gave it a go at home. It was a great success

If you are a foodie and want to treat yourself with something special, this is a great shop!

What a absolute gem of a store! I visited Sabato today and had a Gorguss, friendly Sales representative produce a long desired item from God knows where which absolutely made my year.I can't wait to return thank you so much for your amazing customer service and help . My absolute favourite gourmet food supplier for many years. Actually, one of my favourite shops for many years. Their products aren't cheap, but they're not run-of-the-mill products. They have LOTS of stuff on tasting which makes shopping failsafe and much easier. Sometimes I have asked to try something that isn't out for tasting and they've happily opened one up. They often have really good specials too. You can try any of their cheeses in the cabinet and it's so great to be able to buy them by weight. The staff are amazingly knowledgeable, unlike at other posh food stores where the staff don't even know the names of the cheeses they stock, let alone what they tastes like. Sabato also has a great rewards program that is really attainable and your points never seem to expire. I do all my pressie shopping here and the recipients are always delighted with my gifts. It's easy to find, and there's loads of free off-street parking.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Sabato equals quality food supplies. If you want super special olive oil, vinegar or imported pasta, Sabato is the best choice. Tucked away almost out of sight it has reliable parking. Not a cheap shop, more pricey than Farro Fresh and a little more formal. Yet, Sabato stocks true quality goods. If you want sherry vinegar this is the place to get it in NZ. The best canned sardines in Auckland but not the place to go to for herring. Good cheese selection. I've always liked this place. Is it too well mannered or so justifiably self assured that it really doesn't need to be a simple place to shop? I can't decide - but I certainly think it's one of the staunchest places in Auckland to buy packaged imported food. I like it immensely. Try it. You'll remember going to Sabato.

Very helpful staff and great products available! I went in for a bag of frozen croissants and came out with two different types, French Cassis Jam and White Peach Nectar!

I was here today and found it great, I had 2 kids with me and the proprietors included them in the experience of food enjoyment. They had some samples to try, and knew lots about the products. They opened a container of creme brulee valrrhona chocolate for my son to try and when I saw the coffee machine I asked if they sold coffee too...they made me a cappuccino, and it was free! The best coffee I have had in ages! I found this place because I saw some muscatels in Wanganui that came from Sabato except didnt want to pay $20 for a bag! So at Sabato I could buy them by weight...I have finished them already...i'll be back for more...they have a loyalty club too... and some good discounts available regularly.

Yummy food for special occassions but expensive

Lovely deli and international speciality food store tucked away in Mt Eden. Great staff and great selection of cheese, oils, cured meats, pastas.

Bit pricey for the things you can get elsewhere, but considering the range and carefully curated selection of things only they have, this is one of the best shops in Auckland.
