Prices are hiked as its so central. If you have spare $$ then it's a great wee store as they have everything and it looks fantastic. Otherwise there are 3 supermarkets in walking distance.

Every time I come here there is a man sitting in the cafe (not sure of his status e.g manager) but he sits there and seems to look the customers up and down as if deeming them fit for the store or not! Very intimidating. Only a small selection of bakery items which is disappointing, and often not topped up when empty. Security watch you like a hawk and a lot of things are too overpriced. Music is dreadful and even though there are checkouts they push customers to use the self service only!

Stopped in to grab a few things. I do this often. Easy shop to wander in to and easy shop to manoeuvre around. A beautiful array of foods and goodies. Beautifully displayed. Breads, pastries, confectionery, meats, fish, fruit, vegetables, frozen food, refrigerated food and so much more. Grab a bunch of flowers. Get your lotto tickets. There is also a very well priced Cafe as you enter. Found this SLICE OF CHEESECAKE FOR ONLY $2.50. Had it to take home. Thanks again, see you again soon. Today's cake was $2.50 slice of chocolate Mudcake 💯

I am so grateful for the outstanding service I received from FreshChoice. I emailed FreshChoice looking for help with a delivery when I was pressed for time. I expected an automated response but instead got an almost instant reply from the FreshChoice manager, followed immediately by a lightning-fast grocery delivery. Wonderful customer service. Thank you!

Good selection of products. Small shop. Some bargains to be had. Nice and compact. Lots of self-serve counters if you're in a hurry.

Great downtown supermarket, nice decor, spacious, well presented, human and machine checkouts are both available. Wide ranging drinks in the fridge readily cold. There's also a cafe at the entrance with a few seats and a table for their customers.

Shopping here is always a pleasure. Friendly and helpful staff and a great playlist. Lovely deli counter with delicious salads (gf and vegan catered for).

Great choice of food or u can have a coffee and food

It's great to have a supermarket in town very handy to grab something after work. The verge section could be better but there is a large range of gourmet items. Also a large wine, beer, and cider to choose from. Right next to the bus exchange this is very useful.

Just what you need a little supermarket in town, easy to find, easy to find products and the quality was on point. Only needed a couple things and didn't have to wait in line, self check out myself and the self check out bag area had some plastic thing which ensured your bag of goodies didn't spill out! How genius is that! I think every self checkout should have those

Beautiful looking supermarket with selection of high end goodies, however when we took a couple of pics was told by staff no photos allowed and we should've seen sign about this by the entrance. As we left we looked for some sign but couldn't see anything??

A very well appointed and laid out supermarket, very clean, great attentive staff and a vast array of goods, could be classed as a large upmarket delicatessen.

This shop is really great, it has things that some shop don't have.worth a vist.

Great variety. A bit more expensive than a normal supermarket but that is expected. Great place to grab a quick snack and then carry on shopping or catch the bus! Staff are very kind and never judge you out loud about your regular liquorice and candy purchases. Hahahaha!

Veggie section pretty dull. One bunch of dead silverbeet on shelf, all meats vacuum packed. Did not see trayed chicken etc. Very handy and modern supermarket right in town so handy.

Wow this place is the best 😍 So so clean and we'll presented. Chandeliers in the wine isle I'm jellious. There prices where the same as others I love it best shopping experience I've had ever !

Matt at reception was a good sort and very helpful/thoughtful person. Presentation display layout in store 5 star. Lady at checkout was nice as well. Overall we were impressed with customer service and this store has product that other stores are missing. Will visit again. Thanks Matt for going out of your way to help us especially at such a difficult time, we need more people like you in this world to cheer us up.

I love coming to this supermarket. You can get an excellent coffee on the way in and I enjoy looking round the deli section. The food is fresh and there are great meal ideas. I love the wine aisle and not just for the selection - it is brilliantly set out and looks fab.

I did not find organic mushroom chips there. But this drink tastes lovely~

Fresh Choice City Market is my go to supermarket on my way home from work. It is convenient, super clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The prices are surprisingly reasonable! The staff are so friendly and the supermarket is spacious and clean! Even though they have a small spot it's super cosy!

This is a nice & central supermarket. They have a little deli section + products from the local butchery. Some things are more pricey than elsewhere though. Good selection of wines + deals!

This FreshChoice is because it is in the city center quite small. It is still possible to find all the essentials but everything is a little bit more espensive. They do have a few more bread types and rolls then in other FreshChoices. The atmosphere is pretty good and it does look quite nice. All in all a nice shopping experience but not the right market to do a lot of groceries

Great inner city supermarket, everything you want as well as those must tries. Handy for those working or staying in the city. Next door to public transport and across the road from a movie theatre

Cool shop in town with a great selection for a small shop. Great beer section too. They only have small self checkouts with no bags so not very convenient if you're planning a big shop or are unprepared.

Very comfortable market. A lot of good products, easy to find the prices of all things and good prices in general. Fresh products are very good too. The people that work there is very friendly and are client oriented. Good place to make your home shopping.

Love their wee bakery, as well as just enough selection of Peter Timbs' products. Bonus point cause it's a few doors down from where I work, and right across the Bus Interchange.

This is the best market I've ever been to in NZ. Most of their deli salads are dairy-free and gluten-free. I'm lactose intolerant and most shops have nothing for me. If you are in the city and need a cheap quick meal come here. Everything else sold is displayed so nicely and the staff is really friendly. They obviously care about presentation and delish options for those with dietary restrictions.

It's quite overpriced, but very handy for those who live centrally. The salads and all the food in the deli are looks really nice and well presented and the staff are very nice and attentive. Lasagne is my favorite thing in the world, so I got a piece, but it was really dry. I got another piece a few days later to see if I just got the unlucky piece, but the second one was dry aswel... I like the fact that this place always looks nice, tidy and clean.

The ambiance here is something else. Not a traditional supermarket, and much smaller which means there is a smaller, more expensive range that focuses more of the luxuries. If you're staying in the city it does have everything you need. I don't recommend coming from outside the city, as you have to pay for parking and the other supermarkets are better stocked. If you're looking for some quality ingredients ie. Meat, deli, etc. or imported goods all in one place, then it is worth the trip.

Nice things but at a cost It's a supermarket in the middle of a city. You want cheap, there is a Pack n Save somewhere else. Things here cost more, it's also a small store so the selection isn't huge. Has only been open a few months and I suspect they're adjusting things to make it work. The Peter Timbs sausages are amazing. The fruit/veg selection seems like an afterthought that they never acted on. The deli is well stocked with things. The staff are always nice and friendly and the many self service checkouts make this place a breeze.

I really love this store, great varieties and selections which represent what an international store should look like! A few funky interior designs spark up the taste of the CHCH city market ! The price is a bit higher than other supermarkets but understandable that is the unique and handy location surely cost more!

City supermarket, clean and nice atmosphere, enough to get what you need

Reasonable selection for a central city super market. I would not recommend this place for your regular grocery shop. Convenience food and snacks available. All checkouts are self serve.

Very good small supermarket in the centre of the CBD. Have a good range of fresh produce and fresh bread. I bought a pizza ciabata which was tasty. Also being at the base of the car parking building it is easy to access.

Average wannabe boutique inner city Supermarket which isnt quite there yet. 750am no hot food at all.. nothing (who cares about the commuters going to work) Below average cafe If I could review it would be 2. $9 for the worst tostie I have ever bought or eatten it was bacon & egg supposably. Staff "busy" talking to each other, Coffee poorly made probably by someone who is not a qualified barista...

I was denied a bottle of scrumpy cider because I smelt of alcohol. Yet sold me hand sanitizer, 62% ethanol. You should have denied me that.. Have a good day

It's very handy when you are in the city either visiting, finishing work or grabbing something quick in between buses as the interchange is just across the road. The automated tills card readers don't work for contactless payments. Insert card only. They have a small deli counter and stock Peter Timbs meat products. They do have some special offers but otherwise the prices are a bit more than most supermarkets.

Expensive. Good friendly security who probably dont get paid enough to deal with the homeless and druggies

Very very high quality and boutique produce as well as the staples, and it's right across from the bus exchange. Pricey but you get what you pay for

The deli kitchen has a good variety of fresh salads and cold cuts. We'll laid out and presentable offering plenty of choice & enticement.

WOW what a beautifully layed out grocery store. The stuff available is incredible. I think it is brilliant having such a wonderful supermarket right in the centre of the city !
