M.I bought my first cooked ham from this store, with a little trepidation, since the price was so much better than any where else. I must say it was superb. Moist and tasty it was one of the best hams I have purchased. Top Marks Mad Butcher Ferry Road.
T.I get all my fresh meat from here. We have tried most of their meat, excluding all their lamb products. Always fresh! Click and collect is easy.
Their delivery service is also quick and well.
Couple of things to note;
The plastic that covers the meat is quite thin and is easy to put holes in and their security guard literally followed me around the shop last time I was in there, made me feel soo uncomfortable I left without buying anything.
s.We placed a pick up order then we all caught covid 19 and couldn't pick up. Mad Butcher delivered it to us same day and left us a note wishing us a good recovery. Great customer service, thank you very much!
C.Picked up my meat pack this evening. Staff member was prompt and stopped doing his cleaning and helped me straight away. Friendly staff. Store was clean and tidy.

P.Shop is packed but was disappointed in the range of meat available. What was there was well priced and affordable for a family. Disappointed there were no Saveloys.
Most of floor space was given over to clearance grocery items.

(*****On a side note.. no reflection on Mad Butcher..or the other shops in this area... getting into car and some guy comes up to ask for money or something ... not used to that coming from a small town to the city ..., )

J.I never buy their meat because it's usually pretty brown and when you cook it, it smells wrong. I'm thinking that they just keep on repackaging it till it sells. Yuk.
Other groceries are a bargain though.
Reply to owner: I'll try and add a photo from your fridges in the next few days if I get time. Beef mice should be pink with mayby a bit of browning around the edges. Mad Butcher mince is always dark brown all the way through and if it is purchased, it must be consumed immediately for safety reasons.

A.Really good meat at about 10% less than other shops in the area. There's always another bargain in the shop somewhere. It's a good place to go and just browse for a while.

T.I didn't go in. I did a online order for the first time. Ordered, waited delivery. That was a nice experience but I didn't get a email to say it was on way. Not sure what happens if you not home. Anyway the meat was great.
