There are a large number of daily necessities and food, but also a variety of fruits and vegetables and fruits, all kinds of meat such as pork, chicken, beef, lamb and so on, as well as various seafood are placed on the displ丨ay cabinet, guests can choose, the price is relatively flat and appropriate, the service is also better!

I felt safe shopping here because the environment was clean and customer contact was properly space with required barrier and customer safety was emphasized appropriately as required by the government Delta covid-19 program protocol. Furthermore, from my observation, everyone followed the need to wear masks. Good job everyone.

This supermarket is not as big as typical supermarket is but it has variety of items that you need at reasonable price. It is situated in the city center and very accessible as it's a few walks away from the city bus hub

Nice and wider Range of items available at the store here to buy your needs choice of groceries with all the usual House classic food and snacks you can buy, it is usually busy during week days after office time Rush and on weekends it’s some what packed Some of the check out operators are like blah and standing as if they are been made to stand and obey orders by their boss appeared to have no Energy, unhappy serious faces. Some can be seen busy talking to each other constantly Parking at the front is tricky with the involvement of Wilson Parking on the opposite side

Our go to supermarket for weekly groceries as well as the odd thing we might need throughout the week. An awesome selection of fruit and vegetables, a great deli section, and a pretty decent international isle too. The fish department leaves a little to be desired but it’s in no way a deterrent, I still buy fresh fish there but think he area could be nicer and have a wider choice of fish.

Pleasant staff. Good parking. Shelves well stocked although being under 5 feet tall I do struggle with high shelves and frozen food cabinets. 5 star and a very pleasurable place to shop. Thank you

Good supermarket. Thanks for making some great changes in getting rid of most of the plastic on fruit and vegetables and allowing people to get meat etc in paper or their own containers. This is great. What about getting rid of all the plastic on fruit and veg? What about paper bags instead of plastic snap lock bags for the binned products? What about paper bags for fruit and vegetables. Some supermarkets are already doing this, so that there is at least a choice for customers who do not wish to use plastic anymore. Please keep making changes for a better environment...it is actually a more pleasant way to shop too. Thanks Kirsten

I have always loved shopping here, a wide range of products. Today I went with my husband, finished shopping, I decided to walk to work since I work nearby, my husband would drive the car back. I was questioned half way down the parking lot, stating 'you are not allowed to park here, you need to shop at New World'. I understand it is important to be vigilant in regards to parking, but isn't it slightly over the top?

Although we found what we were looking for relativity quickly, the time was lost at the checkouts. The women at the till were casually chatting away. We actually stood there at the counter for like 5 minutes while the lady was talking to someone else. Had a small child with us, who was getting restless. By the time she FINALLY stopped talking, she still took her time scanning & bagging the few items we had. Maybe she wasn't in a hurry to be somewhere, but some people are!

This supermarket is conveniently located in the heart of town for those who don't have transport. It has a huge assortment of gourmet items from International food to everyday items. The layout is easy and has stayed that way for years. Plenty of parking in the basement. Staff are helpful and they make sure that the queues are monitored. Hard to find ingredients can usually be found here.

I found hannah at the self checkouts very rude, could have at least cracked a smile. Some people are still trying to get the hang of it, sorry for the inconvenience hannah..... We'll just go to countdown now.

My second most used supermarket when I was a student at Otago. Good medium sized supermarket. Memories of carrying lots of junk food back to the flat from here.

A good store, enjoy shopping there but I think the checkout systems could be enhanced to give shoppers quicker exit. Diagonal parking would facilitate cars being within the spaces and make backing out easier. All round tho, certainly my main shop, with very pleasant staff.

Solid supermarket in the centre of town I suppose. Some lurkers around at night though (around 10-11pm) so watch out. I also found that the meat looked a bit grey? Not exactly preferable. Nitpicking a bit but everything else was alright I guess. If I had known of the Countdown down the road I probably wouldn’t have gone. Eh.

Best grocery in Dunedin. Bakery and deli always have good option. Fruit and vege always good quality. Take home hamburger patties are amazing.

Shopping at New World City Centre is always a pleasure. The layout is spacious and there is plenty of variety in brands and selection. The fresh meat and vegetables are top class and the staff are always friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend.

Asked one of the staff about thai basil, wow i was shocked at how polite and passionate he was about his job. Highly willing to help and just loved the positive vibe the employee gave off. Best service i've ever gotten in new world! Completely made my day. There may be more than one Davids here (you know who you are), but Thank you again David! Give this man a pay rise!

Much wider selection than Countdown nearby, but could possibly because of the renovation works. Overall, each grocery has its own advantages, like more toilet and other cleaning agents here, but wider selection of coffee at Countdown. Best to check each one and decide where to buy which. What I like about New World though is the in store Wi-Fi and also the FlyBuys points accumulation.

Store layout not top bad. I did find the self service line a pain as instead of a single line to the machines, there is two so you can get a delay. Staff friendly and store very clean.
