Good prices. Has alot of sales. Don't know why the sushi is never marked down. Very busy most times. I go here when I need to stock up the house.

Love the specials and overall price here. Chicken is bought in bulk which means you can't always get chicken thigh. Okay cancel that prior comment, they now have thighs galore!!

Hi, thought I would try click and collect Mill St after many years not using the store. Did not work that well. Got two bags that were not mine. Lucky I checked my order before leaving. Would it not be a good idea to name each bag and selecting the customers name rather than random bags. I am retired from 30 years of logistics and would like to assist (free of charge) in looking at your systems to ensure this does not happen. Cheers John

Great. Handle anyone there today. I went about 11ish. They were still stocking the shelves bur still good.

I would recommend against ordering online. The majority of the online orders end up with a good proportion of groceries not being added. Usually items are out of stock and don't show as such on the online store. However, shopping in store is generally rewarding as the prices are low and the store is tidy. Pak N Save also stocks meats and foods that many other places simply do not, so it's great to pick up your more "exotic" or less common items. The click and collect is an absolute shambles but, overall this is a quality for cost supermarket, no frills, just well priced.

Got my groceries this morning. Have to mention Ria the checkout operator. She was awesome. Very friendly and exchanged a great conversation. She scanned the groceries with speed while chatting. An excellent employee.

Cheap prices on most items, beware not to overspend otherwise great place to shop

So glad they put in a shortcut to the Alcohol isle. Note like most supermarkets the fresh veges are the first thing you see (marketing ploy) take the shortcut and come to the veges last otherwise all your produce is bruised or squashed.

Pak n Save Clarence Street variety of produce competitive prices Store is restocked . Car park is untidy with , bins not big enough to handle the volume of rubbish at time of visit.

Didn't have to wait long while waiting to enter the store. Well organized with washing facilities outside. And the staff are so helpful ☺

Pretty busy today but wasn't a problem, absolutely heaps of good specials, meat fish veges and more. I was pleasantly surprised when it came time to pay, family size sirloin steak,lamb chops, salmon, and mince, cooking cream, good old butter(not one to eat Marg) tomato juice plus a couple of other things only came to $61.70.

This store is one of the better ones. It is nicely set out and always has an excellent range of quality fruit and vegetables. There is a superb selection of various meat including duck and goat. There is also plenty of fish most species are available either

They have huge range of selection of grocery. A perfect place for food shopping. Do not expect extra ordinary customer service but you will for sure save some money on savings.

Food prices seem to go up each time I visit there. Their 2-3 dollars shampoos went up by $5-7.00. that's expensive. Also, they don't seem to have a lot of smaller trolleys which is quite the inconvenience for those who are only doing a short shopping trip.

They jack the prices up for some item at this branch, with only a basic selection of options. Meat and fish sections are ok. I aften have to go to another supermarket to finish my shopping.

Works efficiently despite the number of people, even late at night. Good bargains to be had. Bring your own bags.

Paknsave Mill Street is a good, well stocked and economical supermarket for most needs. Generally clean and staff helpful. Do be careful of expiry dates on some packaged deli and bakery items though, have been caught out with expired stock a few times.

Great central location with a vast array of local and New Zealand made products. As mentioned in a previous review, it would be beneficial if they had more signage as it is somewhat of a maze. Other than that, this is a great place to do your weekly grocery shopping.

Love this Paknsave, plenty of room to shop, the workers there are wonderful, an has all the items on my shopping list an more. Plenty of parking, great place for bargains. This Paknsave is cheaper than the smaller one an more variety of food items. I can shop at my pace which my moko says slow nan pace lol. I get to see all on the shelves and of course the bargains. I wish we had PAK'nSAVE in Te Aroha lol.

Just shopped at Mill Street Pak n Save for the first time after my daughter's netball and it was crazy busy. I dropped a yoghurt at the counter and it splattered. Keisha, who served us, was so bubbly, was straight onto cleaning it up, and organised us a new one. What an amazing service experience. Thank you Keisha, and Pak n Save Mill Street, Hamilton.

went for the first time in about a year. what the heck has happened. the bins inside where overflowing with paper towels. some freezers where empty. some biscuits on the selves only had a 3 day life. i thought i saw someone shoplifting aswell.

Covid restrictions in place, long waiting lines, $2 week was mainly junk food on special. No staff directing the check out lines, because people were cutting in line.

They often have venison steaks for 17 bucks a kilo. Twice recently i got NY cut rump steak. The first time i really nailed cooking 3 minutes in the pan, turn over for 1 minute then into hot oven 6 minutes. Rest superb bit of meat, melt in your mouth. Today NY Rump 14 per kilo, cooked same way didn't nail it. A little over cooked but still tender. First class steaks

Prices might be good but only if the stuff was on the shelf. Tuesday 1--2pm. Empty shelves, sugar, flour and a lot more and REALLY UNTIDY.

Very busy, but surprisingly, still a great level of stock on shelves at 4.00pm on Wed 30 Dec 2020. Fruit and veges were cheaper than at other stores. Waiting for watermelon to drop in price.

During COVID-19 level 4 lockdown it was quite fast in and out the lines were long but moved really fast

In a world of Drama there is an amazing woman who works here when I was upset and accidentally dropped all my items she helped me and was making me laugh like alot. She made my day I wish I remember her name but she just made my day. Good shopping center in the middle of town and cheaper than paknsav.

This supermarket has an excellent selection of wines and beers. There are always great sales on so you’ll definitely find a great drop. The deli and bakery have fresh and wonderful foods perfect for grabbing on the way to a BBQ or dinner party. The meat is high quality and so are the fruit and vegetables. The layout of the supermarket is clean, well lit and spacious. The staff are always friendly and they manage the queues at busy times well. Parking is an ease.

Well organized with great XOVID signage. Sharp prices always on 99c weeks. Sometimes you just need imagination to take full advantage of what's on sale. Canned Legumes (chick peas, lentils etc) were a great special. Ive learnt and created some great recipes which help to stretch out or eliminate increasingly expensive meat. You need to be clever about it though.

Always the best place over lockdown. Cleanest . Most polite. Nothing unecessary

Great price, good quality. Can get rally busy so time your shopping for the off-peak times. I like that they have an offal section as I can get treats for my dog like chicken necks, frames and tripe. For the most part they have everything in stock but I usually go in very early in the morning so your results may vary.

Good parking and I like the close proximity to the city. They have an unusual (for me) Covid sanitation station at the entrance - with water troughs and paper towels - unlike all other shops. The layout of their in-store goods was also a bit different to other Pak'nSave stores, so I felt a bit lost here. Till Staff were very friendly, which makes shopping so much more pleasant at the end of a long day.

This has been my local supermarket for the last 8months and i love the deals they have on here! Its a very big supermarket so lots of space for distancing just aslong as everyones not panic shopping! They have the entrance and exit set up well so that people arent crossing paths or getting too close! Staff regularly wipe down their check outs. They dont have some certain brands or smaller sizes of foods and products for examples, small Pams mayonnaise or 12pack cotton soft toilet paper. Other than that, theres lots of parking and staff are helpful!

Very lucky with parking as it was busy, longish line of customers waiting but after washing hands and sterilizing trolley handles everyone got thru pretty quickly. Very great service at the flower dept and we were able to leave shop pretty smartly. Great.

Pretty of checkouts open $2 week with great specials, catering for lunch snack too. Love the wash bay set up for the Covid 19 with pretty of staff on to make your grocery shopping so much easier and pleasant. It was a quick in and out for us with plenty of parking.

Never felt or seen this place as clean as it is now. So big ups they got the permenant hand wash stations trolleys already sanitized but MATE u can still DO IT YA SELF. everything feels so sanitized and clean and then the prices are good too. Always get a nice trolley full of food for good price.

I used the online order and collect method today. It was easy to find a park and loaded my trolley with my pre-packed order. I did need some assistance from the helpful staff as the locker with my order had lost the sticker with my name on it. Overall, a simple and straightforward way to shop.

Mill Street is the best I take my son here as he gets eveything he needs from here

Our go to supermarket. Great discounts and fantastic seafood section. The place is managed very well and they are always well stocked (even during lockdown!). Their Facebook posts are very helpful too - you can tell how hard their staff work.

Good place to shop whether it's for just a couple of items or for the main grocery shop for the household..has most items and some specialty items as well which was surprising

Extra care for washing hands, much appreciated

This supermarket deserves 5 * for its sanitising station on entry and exit to the supermarket . Wide sinks with soap and paper towels and spray sanitiser for trollies and hand sanitiser. They really have the care of their customers health as a top priority. (This was most pleasing as ive noticed many stores as soon as we went to level one REMOVE sanitising. Cheap on you guys.hmm) SADLY THIS DOES NOT MEAN EVERYONE USES IT. I watched as customers not only washed b4 entering but when they exited. Good on you guys for caring about others. Lock downs due to covid cost us ALL!!!! And for yrs to come. I only gave 4* because some products not available. Great selection for cooks cooking from scratch and a good supply of vegetarian beans lentils etc. Checkout goes smoothly and the savings on many items pleasing. Parking good and staff friendly.

Great shopping market, Its has good carpark, there's trolley for shopping always available, great to know that the hand washing basin is always available for the public to use, I find friendly people, all the staff there are also friendly and helpful, the staffs are not rude and very good coffee place at the front.

Prices are good, products are good, layout is good. Carpark is madness. I won't visit on weekends, it's just too busy for someone who suffers from anxiety particularly in crowds. If crowds don't bother you then it's a good store.

It's a good place to visit for great every day deals. The variety is great as well. Over the years it has become a bit too expensive but still way cheaper than some other supermarkets. Great helpful staff too. Will highly recommend.

So far I haven't had bad experience stock mostly full. Checkout service ladies are great polite 👍

Good range of products at good prices. Lots of car parking and handy having fuel in carpark. Do you're shopping, get discount coupon with till receipt to get discount on your fuel all at the one stop - just the ticket after a long day at work! Cues at checkout were not too bad either and no cue for fuel.

Shopped in multiple towns and this one is by far the best for savings! Check out is always a tad slow regardless of what time you go in but otherwise always a good experience

Not a fan of the layout, for example, the nappies are in the same area as hot sauces, maybe it's to avoid congestion. They seem to have really good daily specials, if you want to go back daily (thanks, but no thanks). Huge deli and fresh fish etc. From my shopping habits, I can get specials elsewhere. But for a 'quick' shop I might be back.

Everything good except the customer service, not everybody some of them are exceptionally good. I had a very bad experience from an Indian lady who was in the self check out on 30th November 2020 at 2.45 pm. She was very rude and definitely needs some training in customer service. PAK'n SAVE Mill Street definitely deserves a five star rating, but these types of incidents are affecting the reputation of the organisation. So please take some initiatives to avoid such incidents in future.

My go-to supermarket, the fruit is of good quality as is the meat, the beef is good quality, the pork can be hit and miss though. A huge supermarket but not huge on variety like a countdown etc. Nice little coffee spot and the pies are amazing. I highly recommend the pies made on site

Went to get some basic supplies there this morning. Very impressed with their trolley cleaning bays, the hand washing bays, & individually wrapped buns & rolls in their cabinets. Well done P& S

Been coming to this supermarket since I was a child. Staff know where everything is, which is a great help when trying to find a particular item. Items are laid out in a logical order and has everything I've ever needed from a supermarket. Cheap prices, efficient cashiers. Would definitely recommend to everyone to go shopping here on a regular basis.

Cheap groceries. Not a huge fan of the layout of the store, and the yellow begins to burn into my very soul after a while, but a great selection of items, priced well. They have click and collect, if that's your thing.

This store is really good, fresh produce and great range of store cupboard stuff as well. Their wine and craft beer selection are also excellent. TOO MUCH UNNECESSARY PLASTIC PACKAGING THOUGH. No point removing plastic bags if this continues - see photo below

Great seafood options available here. I also like the way the liquor section in this store is easy to avoid.

Wife won a car here last christmas

Yes always pleased with the service at this branch But not happy with service at Clarence st as on Saturday was aggressively approached by a security guy and asked for a docket for my purchases which I showed him As an ex owner fashion retailer having had shops in NZ 3 in Hamilton and shops in Sydney I was not impressed I'm 75yrs now it mite be yr policy for yr stores but at least security could be more pleasant with Hello Sir we are doing a random check on dockets with purchases Don't you feel that would be a better way of doing it rather than make the person feel a criminal Hope your store dose the pleasant way!!!??

We just had a couple of Steak and Mushroom pies 'Made In-store' at Pak'n'Save. A delightful experience! Every mouthful was an absolute pleasure - no bone chips, not even a hint of gristle, couldn't be improved upon. I hope we can get some more on a regular basis.

Mill Street PNS always has in store specials. The shelves are always stocked. The staff are always helpful and know where things are. Prefer to do my shopping here than any other store.

This is not my usual Pak n sav but I was in the area. Was 99c week and though there were loads of specials, I found the store a wee bit cluttered. A lot of products were bring reshelved and it was a bit of mission getting around. Can't beat the specials though 😌 Excellent range of seafood in the whole of Hamilton. Reasonably priced and defs fresh!!! Highly recommend a browse and kudos to the staff, they are lovely.

Comparatively more collection than Clarence street store.Better to go before 3 pm if you want to buy fish.

Good service, good staff, but never enough checkouts open during peak times - queues 4-6 trolleys deep on a Monday night. Management should be rostering extra workers on at this time. Also it is a big turn of having no baskets whatsoever - this is another indication of short staffing if they can't even monitor those

Always busy no matter what time you go there. Can be chaotic at times so best come prepared for delays at thr checkouts. Has mostly everything you need and slightly cheaper than competitive stores so worthwhile buying your groceries here still if your not worried about specific brands of items

It's big with lots of yellow, specifically designed to slow down your shopping. I mean honestly, why put the fruit and veges at the bottom of the trolley?! Cheap though.

Yes an excellent experience, we normally shop at Count Down Chartwell...the meat prices are phenomenal, more bang for your buck, in with a grin then out with a shout, thumbs up to Pak'n'Save!!!!

Good 👍 but too many traffic

The CHEAPest supermarket in NZ for years. Has a fuel station too. They don't have every product you might want, but the low prices keep me going there as my main shop. Usually busy at 3.30pm weekdays.

Simply the best. Great fresh produce section, lots of fish + seafood options, unbeatable price. The deli offerings could use some help but I think the sushi offerings make up for it.

Average selection check out times are long and had a staff member almost run me over on the pedestrian part .

Easy parking, good flow to store. Alcohol is to the right of the self serve checkout.

It is a great store except for when it's panic buying and it the whole shop goes crazy. I like the selection of food that I haven't seen they i would definitely want to check out that other stores don't have

Parking easy. Every thing on shopping list was available. All staff in the aisles very helpful. Check out lady - Norma - friendly, helpful and efficient. Supervisors the same. No complaints. * * * * * * Six stars.

Great deals for your annual food shop in Hamilton. Would avoid shopping on Sunday as can be incredibly busy. Always check you dates on the meats as somethings can be on the way out. Eg chicken can be expiring within the next 2 days. Bakery section is great. If you get a chance the $15 cakes are excellent.

Comparatively good prices.

This was my first shop I found in Hamilton And to this day is my very favorite ❤️. I have tried other super markets but none of them compare to PAK n SAVE. The selection the fresh produce and the SEAFOOD ad good as any in the world.

Lowest prices for many items. Offers will be going on regularly. Most of the food products available here with great quality for reasonable price. Bakery items also sold on offers, so really great saving for buyers and taste is also good.

The best value for money supermarket in Hamilton. Tuesday deals coupled weekday specials and fresh fresh fresh meat and produce make this supermarket better than the rest. Car parking is easy during the week. But because it's the best value for money supermarket in Hamilton, parking can be busy in the weekends but finding a park is always possible

I was so surprised that the Veggie shelves were almost empty - its a long time since I have been in that shop I remembered that it is Always busy in Pak'nSave - I got everything that I needed - and it didn't take me too long to shop The Checkout person was helpful and friendly - the whole expeeience was everything you want when you go shopping

Been going there 25 + years good set up

It's a big box supermarket, range is limited but prices are also slightly lower overall. Totally worth a walk in for meat which is generally loads cheaper

Mmmm mediocre to say the least! Used to be Pack & Save, i.e. Pack your own groceries to Save $$'s BUT NOT any more though and limited brands on many products! Gone down hill over the last couple of years for sure!

Love this place has deals that no other pak n save has. As well as two other vital things I like is coffee & lotto. But cant forget the delicious muffins and cheesecakes yumi. Up date they no longer make my muffin now so I no longer go there.

It is Pak'nSave so not much not to say. Prices are definitely better than other supermarkets. Variety not as great as in other supermarkets, but there are very few items that we usually buy that they don't stock.

Good place for grocery shopping.

Pak n Save = Countdown = New World. Expectation hurts ! Deals are always blackjack here. Additional bonus is weekend bargains. Long story short, shop nearby your compared supermarket which helps you save time. Definitely prices are cheese on the grill.

The Meat counter food is often really poor quality, but the staff are great. Also there's homeless dudes all over the place, making it scary to walk around alone. Police need to help Pak 'n save make this store more customer friendly.

Not crammed but it is soon to be XMAS

It is busy most of the time but the aisles are wide enough to accommodate. Signs can get a little confusing if you want to find something specific but the staff are happy to help and the store is pretty nice to get lost in anyway.

The best store made pies ever. There deli corn beef is melt in your mouth stuff. Their store made custard slice and biscuits are so tasty. Shop is clean . I think one of the best paknsaves in new Zealand

Lovely shopping here with lots to choose from. Nice and clean.

Good customer service. Very busy most of the time. Plenty car park space. The prices change frequently. Some items are very expensive in the fruit and vegetable department. A nice range of flowers and plants and although the reduced to clear wilted/dying flowers are not a fair marked price. The bakery department prices have increased in price and not much of a varied selection of baking compared to Clarence St Pak'nSave. In fact the selection of prepared food is boring and somewhat overcooked. The seafood department is very good. Compared to Clarence St Pa'knSave, New Worlds & Countdowns the Mill St Pak'nSave have the best tasting mussels yet. When it gets busy it becomes too full and @ times isles are cluttered and I either move @ snail pace or exit out the same way I entered otherwise I'll never come out without being disgruntled. Overall it's a main grocery outlet and I'm still happy to shop here for regular top ups on grocery items.

Best deals ever

Staff were lovely. Locals were not... I suggest you don't wear red or blue or you may just get disrespected like I did.

Wide range. Low prices. You almost need a map to navigate the warehouse layout. Good for fish, nuts, packaged foods. Cheap fuel on offer. GD.

Large fresh vegetable corner. Large poultry corner. Love that they assist with cleaning fish and to remove gullets. I think that's a wonderful service. The aisles are wide and it has a good variety of items.

Mill Street, Far better than it's counterpart at Clarence Street. Although sadly the Cafe is still closed due to the Carona Pandemic.

Had a gud nyte shopping, its the best time to go to Mill St, Pak n Save. Its there birthday an i got a few specials, Watties baked beans .50c per tin/500ml jellytip Primo drinks .99c per bottle/bananas .99c kg- so yes a gud nyte an to u all a gud nyte 🙂

Staff are good patient and kind adherent to covid19 practices. Good control mechanism and great set up hand wash facility before entering.

Lots of choice on fruit and veggies and caters for your grocery,home and party needs all at reasonable prices

Confusing placement of products. For example: Dried fruits are not even close to a gangway of canned fruits or fresh fruits. Eventhough the store is large, I missed some basic products like packed (not canned) tuna and couscous (bet they have couscous, but after 20 mins of searching I gave up). Guess I prefer Countdown over this store.

Overall pretty good but just a few little things that detracted. Eg. Lots of staff doing their mahi but in the way of the shoppers without considering them. And a couple of items that hadn't been restocked on the shelves.

What a treat. Its not about the savings, or the stock they have on the shelves(which is good BTW) It's the people that come to this place, Hamiltons finest come out of their hiding places. I go for the entertainment

5 thumbs up on this occasion at Pak n Save, silly me went to countdown 1st where they wanted $20 per bottle for Ned Rose and $40 for 24 speights ultra I thought that's a tucking so crossed the road to Pak n Save $14 for the Ned and $29.89 for the speights 24s $42 saved by crossing the road well done Pak n Save

Quickly in, quickly out. 2 weeks worth of shopping, good value. Cheaper than New World and Countdown and just as good quality.

Large modern supermarket with a huge carpark and onsite fuel station.

Very busy at time of visit long queue at checkouts.Even self service checkout was busy.

Not a fan of Pak n Save on the whole but this one is a convenient location, good parking, spacious (although I do believe it gets busy), and the coffee out front isn't bad.

Love Pak N Save Mill Street. Great range and service with a smile from all the staff. I also support them as they came on board with our freight company to supply water stock down to Christchurch after the earthquakes.

Love that they installed sinks. Store is set out a little bit strange but they always have great specials and good service.

There is always a special something that s hard to walk out without. The store layout is simple and easy to get through if in a hurry for just a few bits and pieces.

We have been going to PAKnSAVE in mill street almost ever since it opened when we lived in Hamilton where we had our young family. Now we live in Raglan and we are in our 70's we still travel in each week and spend our $200 + every time. We find the the staff really good.

Paknsave is ok we all forgot about them being like overbearing during covid, well not me

This place is what I like to go to, for groceries, among all the other brand supermarkets. They often have offers. This one though is smaller than the Anzac Parade outlet.

Ive shopped at PaknSave Mill St for some time. I love the new layout of shop for ease of shopping in most areas. Good prices and bargains still. Helpful and friendly staff.

Disabled parks usually all full. Need to come really early in day to get one. Yes I have an official card to use them. Pak n save is cheap but has limited range of goods and some goods can be out of stock for several visits. As I shop once a fortnight that means the item is not available for a month or more. Few staff in aisles to help you find new or moved items. Eg where have the meat pies gone? Avoid public holidays as queues at check outs are long!

Easily best supermarket in NZ. Semi-embarrassed to admit that Ive looked.lol. Laid out well, helpful staff, wide range of products, specials are real good value. I miss hamilton because of this Pak n Save alone lol

I will say there is always a bargain at Mill street Pak n Save Hamilton. From fruit and veg, to your kids snacks.

Easy to get around, usually the cheapest petrol in town (cheaper than Gull if you're using the 6c vouchers). Good selection of products.

This has to be the least liked pack n save of all the pack n saves I've ever been to. There stock produce is very limited here and their prices for certain products are o.t.t. Could do alot more improving

I think Clarence St is cheaper, with a better range of things. They also do coffee. This branch used to have excellent coffee, but when they kiboshed that they removed any real reason to visit this PaknSave over the other one in town.

One of fav shopping mainly for sea food section unfortunately last 2 weeks they had no staff to clean or cut fishes..that on Saturday the busiest day.. Please employ more staff thank you..

Milk Street PAN'nSAVE. The best. Logically laid out (unlike Clarence Street), and always clean toilets, essential for those of us too often "caught short". I would never shop anywhere else.

Had what I wanted, but those self service machines are a nightmare, at least 3 went wrong whilst I was waiting.

It has basic food but it is affordable, especially if you are able to take advantage of their specials.

I like going to PAK N SAVE CLARENCE STREET than going to Mill STREET PAK N SAV because mill street is not cheap.

Best priced supermarket in Hamilton but doesn't have the range of goods as others and sometimes quality of meat is not very good although it has improved recently.

Found an amount of cash in car park and handed it in. Staff said it will be handed over to a charity, they couldnt tell me who. A bit disapointed. Never took my details etc
