Busier than I would have expected in Lockdown Level 4 (and not much respect shown for 2m social distancing), but nearly everyone was properly wearing a mask and staff were operating efficiently, effectively and quickly. Still operating as expected. Long queues but self service tills are good to skip those...

Quite a good supermarket. Really handy when their fuel prices are consistently low. Usually the lowest in the Bay. Notice how the price goes up at Xmas time. Especially prices for meat. The business world is never without the odd Shylock or two😉

They cleaned the trolleys :D And they have gluten free Vogel bread

Can b cheaper but ok like the real specials.stil not a lot checkouts open wasting a lot of my time standing in long rows.

Good. Different layout. Be nice if they could be consistent all over the country. Otherwise the staff were helpful.

Good but set out in a weird way, makes it hard to shop fluidly. Needs a complete strip down and fit out to renew and make grocery shopping easier

The amount of cars that park in the disability parking without cards is unbelievable, not good for ones who do have cards, I feel very sorry for those ones that do have disability cards, and have to walk that extra mile

Lots of products I needed weren't available but store was tidy & checkout lady was fast & friendly. Prices always good here for what we buy

This supermarket has a great parking lot so never short of a space. There 50cent bargains were very good

Good for general grocery shopping for families. Not a large range of variants for products or smaller portions when shopping for one or two people. Well laid out with a lot of parking available for mobility card holders and general public, including underground parking. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Shop here regularly but always have to go to another supermarket as there are products they just don't have. I have found that I now shop more and more at other supermarkets.

Easy layout and decent pricing. Just gets to busy at times. Also getting sick of the beggar always at the round about.

This paknsave is way better then the napier one and has way better deals.

Good prices and staff but Isle info is hard to fathom. Could be a Lot simpler if they just stated what each Isle has instead of rubbish like "dance floor". What's that supposed to mean.

Usually really good. Unfortunately with lockdown there were people getting impatient and they were swearing/yelling aggressively. More security would have been a good idea.

Decent experience! Pricing isn't hugely expensive...

Very large and well laid out with room to pass in aisles. Great service. Hit and miss with fruit and vegetables they can look good but have no nice flavor. The strawberries, avocados and carrots were not nice this time.

Always friendly and great products and very accommodating whether able bodied or disabled

The enforcement of the covid rules was very disappointing and alot of the shoppers were very rude

A lot of items I wanted, they don’t sell or did not have stock. There was quite a wait for a staff member to come to self serve (and it was a busy time) and assist. I forgot they don’t sell bags and only had a heavy basket to put items in one hand and other hand holding a child and they told me to go to other end of store to get a trolley to swap shopping over instead of trolleys right by the checkout. Not very helpful or considerate are they

This is a go to grocery store. Convenient location. Good selection. They tend to keep well stocked. One of the better priced places in the area. Staff is competent. No complaints.

PAK'nSAVE Hastings majority of very helpful staff and a lot of products that you would expect to see in a supermarket but as they are all individually owned you may want to shop between the three Hastings Napier and tamatea PAK'nSAVE was to achieve all of your household requirements at a cheaper price is the price at one store for one particular item may not be the same at another store

Only had a few items to buy but they were all very cheap. Got through the self service check out quickly.

The people that work there are really helpful and perlite

They have some amazing deals. Nappies a very reasonably priced and they have a good competitive options. I will admit I have been disappointed by the quality of the fresh produce on a few occasions. Fresh fruit so bruised I wouldn't want to eat, let alone buy.

Always loved paknsave Hastings selection of foods... They also bake good pies... However lately the pies haven't been tasting that great, they need salt!

Great variety of products, always clean and tidy. Great prices and staff that can tell you where to find your products. At the checkout there is always a queue at the normal cash desks as well as at the self service machines.

Everything you need, the cheapest you can get it. There are always specials of pretty much half the produce. There's also a very large meat section and a bakery, which has very nice bread. Easy to get through and if there aren't enough tills open, there's about 15 self serve checkouts there which help you get paid and gone very quick.

I enjoy shopping at pak n save. Good to catch up with friends. Service was good but the check out guy said " I have only one hour to go then I can get the F@€£k out of here". Not really appropriate. But he was friendly.

Best place to do your weekly grocery shopping. Is cost effective, saving one more money than other supermarkets like New World. Produce is also alot fresher than most places.

I really like the click and collect service setup but when one of my items wasn't in the box I found the communication between the staff quite poor. Regardless of the poor communication I do find the staff are usually friendly and there is great selection when shopping here at an affordable price.

I being here once a week I have been here buying a pumpkin and garden green salad ..I really like the staff here they being so nice..great service..cheers

Friendly staff who helped me locate the products I needed

Generally always get what we want, however sometimes I wish there was more options available in the same.line of goods cos I don't always want to buy the cheapest option because it's not always the 'best' product but that's doesn't mean that I want the high end product either. Huge selection of bread. Bakery is always pretty good as well. ( Definitely try to avoid as we always end up spending too much here - but never the pies - have had some in the past that were less than half full.)

Store is clean and spacious, but prices aren't that low, a number of specialty items not available, and bakery wares are lacking variety (plus not particularly cheap). Overall cheaper than shopping at New World, but feels budget. Some items at New World are cheaper, like Free Range eggs

Picking the right time to get to checkout 17 minutes in line before getting to checkout

Some places offer lower prices at the cost of quality and service. This is one such place. They have reasonable selection and good prices, but don't expect a lot as far as freshness is concerned. Not bad. Not great. Good if you're doing the weekly shop on a budget.

Wednesday morning 10 to 11 a good time to shop, lots a car parks and short queues.

don't be sucked in.......... the one thing that is the biggest pain is, the pricing is labeled above the items. different to every other supermarket in the south and northisland I have been to. I believe the owners do this to catch those customers out, who look below for the pricing, thinking your getting a bargain only to find at the cashier you have been over charged? and end up paying more for the product. be aware some products pricing at this store are not that cheap. have you been tricked? leave a comment or like this comment to help create change!

Great place to do your grocery shopping! Staff are usually friendly and helpful and the whole place has a light hearted and sometimes amusing atmosphere! Great discounted prices on mostly the same products you would find in other higher end super markets! :)

Reasonable place with reasonable prices. The new one entrance policy is annoying though. Have to go through the entire shop even if you need something by checkouts. Marketing move that makes me choose other supermarkets more often now.

Some good staff. Too often the catfood in the chilled section is nearly non existent though. Would be nice to have more bakery items and other nice items like Napier Pak 'n Save too.

Great hassle free shopping. No OTT rules under L2 unlike New World at Waipukurau. Much cheaper veges too!

Super busy and the staff were helpful and still had smiles on there faces. Found everything I was looking for at good prices. Quiche from the warmer was a little bit sry though. Perhaps they could put a bowl of water in there.

Wow those are some pretty harsh words/views shared....however I do have to agree with much of what has been said...not many of the staff are friendly...it's like they (many) don't have pride or perhaps it's attitude. I think the workers could do with a grooming professional development ☺ other wise it's the same as anywhere or time that you shop...always in a hurry

It was good most items in stock. Easier to shop at night as less people. Still perturbed as some items have been taken away I.e. squid tubes at good price and have asked for return of same but to no avail... that part frustrated me.. otherwise good

Had a good time in pak'nsave the shelves were well stocked and no problem to find things I need, nice and clean too and the Teller's were very helpful

This is our go-to every week. We know where everything is so it's easy to get around and grab what we need to. I often find that the meat is really good value and cheaper than alot of local butchers. The produce is always fresh and affordable unlike alot of local veges stores. I was particularly pleased when they had the oyster and kina special!! OMG lol...if only they did it more often lol 😂

Good variety of food and produce. Wide aisles and good specials. Has an underground park which is great on windy or wet days. Good amour of self serve checkouts too.

It's hard to put a finger on it but I always feel slightly disappointed with Pak n Save Hastings - the range of products on the shelves seems less but I still manage to spend way more than I wanted

Fairly standard pak n save. Parking underneath the store as well as above ground. Lady on checkout was awesome even though we jammed the conveyor due to having too many heavy things on it. Busy though due to easter.

Magnificent store! Above-ground and under-ground parking, great access, HUGE variety in the products available, and an insane number of fast checkouts available (including self-checkout options) This is my go-to supermarket for the weekly groceries, and I love it.

Packnsave it self was good but the clientele was not so good, caused some trouble and police had to be called, the staff were very friendly and helpful

Not so good and the the small trolley have to pay to use it and above all prices not so cheap as the the napier and Hamilton.. My experience in pak and save both in hamilton is much better then in hastings.

I shop here because the price is unbeatable, but i wish they'd bring back the scanners it would make life just a little more easy. And the product selection is not very broad.

Yeah,we always shop at PakNSave.Especially when you guys,have 2&5 dollar weeks.I also am impressed,with all of the friendly people who work there.

It's where we do our main shopping and the customer service is great loads of parking, plus there is also a pharmacy on the premises so if we need medication or other needs it's there.

There's a massive change happening in the store ..it's in a new growth phase..workers are happier and their Collective Agreement is almost settled..I recommend customers visit the store to check out the specials

I'm new here. And I visited pak'nSave where I found lots of various stuffs. Good service, neatly maintained. Priced medium I suppose. Must visit other nearby supermarkets to make comparisons though.

As self scanners are unavailable you end up picking up items that appear to be specials but are not. Specials need to be more clearly marked and advertising more specific

Good super market with good competitive prices. Range of goods has improved over the years. Lots of tills but it can get super busy.

Best prices in town for supermarket goods. Not as big as some of the Auckland stores but still has a wide selection of products.

Busy, large supermarket, nice wide isles, parking can be a bit of a mission and you have to plan where you park if you intend to travel south on exiting, often ques at all checkouts

Quite a large supermarket in the centre of Hastings, has everything you need at semi reasonable prices. Plenty of parking above and under ground.

It's a hearty beast to navigate but once your used to it then it's all goods... Has a helpful pharmacy attached for your convenience

My visit to pak'nsave was ok but the price of meal has gone up again. And considering its growin in this country its a bit over priced
