I never have a problem with Countdown . Staff always helpful and obliging . And of course gold card discounts on Tuesdays.

It was very busy. The information desk covers lotto, phone calls, online pick ups & customer enquiries. This area was maned by 1 person this morning. The staff member did the best possible but many customers were waiting for some time due to the lack of staffing.

The shop assistant was very helpful to find a product we were looking for ,went the extra mile in fact the lady stopped what she was doing and spent some time enquiring for us inquiring at counter where said product was located.

One of the best places for your shopping in Invercargill. The best thing is that it is open till midnight. A well arranged place, with great customer service, a great car park and a wide range of products. Veggies are comparatively fresh from other places. Frozen foods are also good when compared to others. All in all Countdown is awesome. I have bought one blender from there, and after 3 months it stopped working. I got to them and without any issues they gave the full refund that I paid for the product. Really good customer service :)

my partner bought me my groceries when he was in wellington(click n collect).so that I can just pick it up. always ready to pick up on time. but there was one time My partner order for 1 kg onions and they only put 1 piece with 1 kg cost. thank god they sorted it out.

I was gonna put it down one lower for the messiness of everything tonight, especially random full or empty or plain cardboard boxes all over the tops of the shelves, but then I do understand that it's restocking night so gotta cut some slack. This particular Countdown feels out of place, like it's a store within a building made for something entirely different (and maybe that is) because of the super high ceiling, the occasional stairwells along the front and back walls, and then being able to see the creepy looking ventilation-like rooms lit up behind the giant ventilation grates along the back wall. There also wasn't a noticable entry way into the store as instead you walk in through the checkout counters? Not used to that in NZ.

Surprised they still have liquor license trusts, as couldn't buy beers. Otherwise all good

Prices were high but hard to find decent prices these days. Woman at the counter was a great yarn.

Boxing Day shop. Plenty of parks, checkout without a queue, & well stocked shelves. A good time to go 🚶

Great service from Staff, and prices were pretty good, and good assortment of produce..

It was nice to go to the supermarket and walk around, find what you need on the shelves without to many peoplein the store. The staff were friendly and helpful and had my groceries all sorted before 8am.

Staff here are friendlier and more helpful here than other countdown”s I have been to. Although the atmosphere and design is a bit stale (dark, old countdown colour scheme), it isn’t overly crowded.

Currently undergoing renovation so parking is restricted. Very helpful staff.

Not too bad for groceries, but let down badly by the pharmacy. Long wait times and disorganized queues online ordering is a lot better

Today I Collected medicines at Countdown Tay Street Invercargill.

Store is clean and staff always very helpful. Items can be a bit pricey so look for good deals. Very limited Mobility parks and always full. Best time to shop is usually later evenings as not so busy.

East to navigate, helpful staff, and well ventilated. Customers would appreciate a ipad or tablet or something as soon as you enter the store with your trolley so that you can see where a particular item is.

Not my usual supermarket but I did get a few bargains. The shelves were well stocked. The fruit was displayed well and was lovely and fresh.

The staff member I dealt with was absolutely wonderful

Well unlike their rude pharmacy staff, the staff in the Supermarket are very nice, particularly Andrew who served us at the checkout. He was so bright and friendly that you couldn't help but leave with a smile on your face. He is a staff member worth his weight in gold. The range in this store is good, the hours great for us as tourists. It meant we could grab some supplies after our dinner out before we headed back to our Motel. We also visited the day before and just wanted to note the trolley bay situation. Trolleys are being stacked almost across the entrance door. I am disabled so it could cause a problem for people in wheelchairs. I was ok though. Excellent disabled parking spaces right at the door too.

Good variety, reasonable value. Pretty good customer service. Plenty of parking. Doesn't feel cramped or crowded, making shopping more pleasant. Free fruit for kids is a great way to keep the kids happy while shopping. Great idea countdown :)

Everything is easy to access , and easy to find , plenty of car parking

No booze? penalized of collection tickets cause we used a voucher?? Cmon. Is countdown so tight they can't give there little cards cause the rules say we granted a voucher 🥱 Given a 3 star cause the girl realized it was pathetic and gave the kids a promo toy anyway. Thanks to u

Interesting new rule to have ID for energy drinks... Makes self check out that extra weird. Otherwise it's a supermarket and is quite easy to find way around.

Got everything you can expect in a supermarket, including questionable pricing

Good prices as always but the staffs customer service was disappointing. I know it's busy at Christmas but it fealt like a funeral. Warren in the butchery was your only saving grace who is always polite and good for a laugh.

Not easy to find some products. But they do have a Pharmacy inside. Different !!! Be aware as we didn't know, Supermarkets in Invercargill don't sell Alcohol at all. Because they are Family Friendly. Well done. An awesome idea. I did decide that I really didn't need it anyway.

Being a visitor to Invercargill I was a little surprised to find that they don't sell alcohol, I have since been advised why, the shop was clean tidy and fully stocked

Decent prices, not the cheapest in town but if it's close to you it's worth going to. Nice and clean.

Very cheap prices, has everything the average person would need and more, there is a deli, bakery and good meat here. Also there is a "If it's not fresh its free" policy with fruit and vegetables.

Good store always look forward to my weekly shop there. Great staff. Good price range. Meat can get expensive.

Be careful the time of the day you visit the store, especially late in the evenings, as the aisle tends to be blocked with pallets and trolleys from staff stacking shelves, sometimes unattended.

They had decent salmon, just missed a few bones when selling it as deboned. Other than that, happy staff making a happy shopping experience

Considering we're on Level 3, the lines have been quite long, but quick! Good stock availability and very helpful staff.

Only use for online shopping and love that I can just click the 'I'm here' button on the app as I get out of the car, and my trolley full of shopping is there waiting for me by the time I get in the store.

My last visit was not so satisfying. I like Countdown it has staff we needed for certain grocery items. And we frequently go there to purchased pur wee man's milk. It's only here we can get this kind of milk which we are so happy and glad. But every now and then, the shelve is almost empty. There are times that there's no milk display. I hope they keep an eye on items which are very popular and refill the shelve. I dont think they run iut of stock of the milk it juat that there's no enough people of staff to refill the selves. It's important for us consumer and customer to get the item that were looking in there shop. It's very disappointing that we end up or going home unsatisfied and gutted that simply because the shelves hasn't been updated and refill with stocks we weren't able to get waht we wanted and afr for.

Mostly fantastic. Often low on stock of some major items including vanilla coke. Sometimes a bit lax on price updates... but good :)

Found Countdown Invercargill very helpful as they have always been since I have from 1986, especially not only now as when I'd bring my two disabled son's there, (unfortunately deceased) to help me in what ever way possible.... thank you

I have been to countdown Invercargill approximately 5 - 6 times. I have always enjoyed shopping there.

Service counters are almost non existent as there is only ever 2 counters open at once. Can be annoying when your waiting to be served. Love there international selection of foods.
