The place is nice and clean. If you ask a question to staff they answer to the best they can or they try to bring out someone who knows their stuff on the topic. If you make suggestions to staff they sometimes even take it on. I would recommend the place to others, especially if they want great deals.

Great range of products from all the usual categories. Many specials from right across the range on top of reasonably priced items. Wide aisles make shopping quick and easy. Shopping trolleys are generous, clean and well maintained. Staff are helpful and with pleasant attitudes. Generous and unique undercover parking makes level entry to the store easy especially mobility challenged people.

My favourite store alongside Petone; they are owned by relatives. The produce section is bigger and the selection of meats is wider than Petone, however lacks some dried fruits like hazelnuts, and the organic section is definitely smaller. Features both open and covered carparks, and the fuel station is in the same perimeter, rather than across the road as in Petone.

I regularly shop here instead of Countdown in Wainuiomata where i live. Ive been consistently surprised by the noticeably lower shopping bill, the staff are all very well trained always smiling and still appear to be trained in how to pack groceries as they do this without bags but know what their doing. I wish Pak n Save would open in Wainuiomata i'd never bother going over the hill again to do my groceries. My only gripes about Pak n Save Lowerhutt is sometimes their produce is moldy and not in any state that would be considered good for sale. But overall ive had pleasant experiences there almost every time. As a bonus their right across the road from CoCo Kai and Pete's Emporium. Im very looking foward to seeing how CostCo pans out in NZ and i believe they will be locked in battle with Pak n Save, Countdown have no chance cause they have become the most expensive supermarket in NZ. Hopefully Coles come here as well.

The layout has improved but still wonder why they have so much wine! I'd prefer more choices in milk. The new gourmet cheese pie is awful stay away. Deli choices need good variety that is missing. Please start offering paper bags for groceries. The merchandising is plentiful for what they carry.

It's a great place to shop for your everyday fruit veggies meat seafood sauces ice cream and dairy. The staff are amazing and helpful and there is nothing else I like than awesome customer service. They have self checkout too oh yeah they don't take American Express card so don't get a full trolley of stuff like I did some sites have on-site petrol station you can get discounts as part of the receipt and you can always do surveys to go in the draw to win one thousand dollars which is pretty normal in New Zealand for feedback the ads are pretty much funny too and certainly very much created for the new Zealand audience

I hadn't been into this Pak n Save since last summer, but when I went back today I was amazed at how much cheaper their food is compared to where I usually shop in Thorndon. The have a great corner for gluten free food, including a fridge containing pizza bases and pies. The customers were all really polite and nice too - people don't rush around and push like the city.

It's a pretty standard super market but their bakery is off the hook. They have fantastic buns, sweets, cakes and slices. Their christmas mince pies are some of the best you'll get. They also have a solid craft beer range, better than countdown down the road.

Great customer service. Saw a broken bottle and liquid on the floor. Area isolated and a staff member had a cleaner's trolley and dealing with it. Check out operator very efficient as was the lady in the deli almost didn't need the scales, she could judge the amount herself within 30g.

You always have the best deals when it comes to fresh meat, seafood and produce. There is ample parking both above and underground. Fuel station adjacent to the complex. My shop today filled my list of things needed and went as usual. At the checkout we encountered a malfunction with the till system which meant my provisions couldn't be processed as usual. The lovely checkout operater was most apologetic and whisked me and my groceries to another checkout where I was dealt with very promptly by another staff member. Good product range. Compared to my local PnS on Porirua, this one has very good range of product. I really like their long rectangular fresh quiches, which are well-priced, also they've got a good selection of fresh food in the deli (Scotch eggs and spinach/cheese filo pie are my favs) , really nice fresh filled rolls, and single dinners made in-house. The only criticism I have us parking is scarce during peak times.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the store stocks the brand's that I prefer...... including "Royalty" digestive biscuits, which I have never seen in any other store!!

It's a supermarket. With strangely absent staff. Today I couldn't find an item. I thought I'd ask for help. Aside from checkout ( some of whom are top drawer) and deli people there was an absence... The three people I spoke to were all from distributors and replenishing stock. I see other reviews saying the same thing. Further, the layout of the store doesn't seem to flow... Hmm.. P.s. any claim by a supermarket in New Zealand to have LOW prices should be met with derision.
