My husband and I always shop with a list, however, there was one item that we couldn't find so I asked a staff member. It wasn't enough that he didn't know WHERE it was but that he didn't know WHAT it was. Countdown, it would serve you well if you trained your employees about your products!

Very happy with my visit got everything I needed and the young gentleman who served me in the Deli was lovely, friendly, happy and helpful couldn't have asked for better service 😀

Its a supermarket what can I say? Although I did experience outstanding service at the Deli...they only had bacon hocks and I wanted a ham hock.. so the lady went and got the ham leg out of the display and cut it down for a ham hock.

Love the shop. Awesome huge aisles. Amazing variety of products and good to see English foods coming in with affordable prices on them. Brilliant website for online shopping. Delivery is expensive but the delivery staff are friendly and really helpful if yr disabled

Great service here! I got some strawberries that were mouldy and didn't have my receipt but it wasn't a problem they replaced the punnet and gave me a refund all with a smile. The only downside of coming here is the long waits in queues especially when they only have a couple checkouts open for everyone

Clean friendly staff

First asked if I wanted a bag. Well that set me off. No greeting! all about bags. Gee Count Down have a look around your store. I could go on and on but I won't, but will mention I worry about the state of bags coming in ! going into trolleys, but on the lighter side you have something special that I come into your store to get, by the way I do not require bags I have bins in my boot that can be wiped out and kept clean.

The staff are always friendly and the store is always quite clean. But if you have wine on special, STOCK UP!! Running out is not really an option at the start of the special especially leading into a long weekend

Duck fat mission. Lovely ladies at the deli helped out. One of them accompanied to the product. Excellent customer experience. Btw my roast potatoes were perfect. Thanks ladies in the deli at Countdown 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

Best Countdown in Hawkes Bay.

We like this supermarket. We regularly drive past two other Countdown supermarkets to shop here for preference. I have only given it 4 stars because there is no such thing as a perfect supermarket! 😁

Friendly service, but your 3 for $20 salmon needs to be separated, I couldn't take advantage due to the 3 I had placed in my cart happened not to be all the same, and couldn't be bothered racing back to change making others wait.

I like the sample containers in fresh produce.what would b helpful is descriptions on how to prepare some of the more exotic food eg paw paw, mango and eggplant and recipes of how to cook them. Always appreciate friendly staff on checkout.

Good prices & good range

I prefer shopping at this Countdown than the Munroe Street one. The staff are very helpful and the check out staff are very friendly and helpful. They also have a large selection of groceries. They have free fruit for children which is a bonus. I live 700m away so am in easy walking distance..

Poor craft beer selection

I think this supermarket has gone downhill. I use to go weekly but don't anymore. Staff seem grumpy, waiting forever at tills at the end. I think prices are much the same as other places now.. sad but ...

Love the new layout of this store. Makes so much sense. Let's me get my shop done quicker now everything is logically grouped together.

Obviously no deliveries over this interim period if holidays. Some scarcity. But always clean & neatly kept

I have to say it's a bit confusing having two Countdowns literally across the street from each other but this one was a good typical supermarket. The difference was in the service, the checkout lady was so nice. Probably just a Napier thing though.

It's a good tidy Countdown. There is always parking available. They are changing the floor plan so it can be hard to find things, but it's almost finished.

Overall good experience, has a decent setup and quite tidy plus the staff were good too

The countdown was okay, nicely cooled, don't know why there are two a bit of a waste of space but okay. The cashier was quite cute would come again! Lines were okay.

Really like shopping here. Its got the razor blades my husband uses. Alas not close enough to my house

They advertise Twisties for $1 for this week . Yet Napier shelves empty since Monday and today is Thurs. Not great service at all.

Called in specifically for the sweet corn. Sweetest corn I've had for a long time. I'm sorry I didn't get more. My family are raving about it - Rotorua sweet corn lover!

When in Napier we always go to this supermarket as it has in stock everything we need..and NO self check out..just good staff, happy staff offering excellent speedy service at the check out. Kudos.

Helpful staff but check expiry dates on perishables. If you find an out of date item when you get it home return it for a refund and a free replacement.
