Plenty of space. Plenty of stock. Found everything I wanted. Fast through checkout. Easy exit to ample parking. Plus next to one of the best cafés in Orewa. What more could I want?

Stocks were good compared to other branches in this covid outbreak

Friendly staff. Went at lunchtime on a Wednesday. A good time to shop as it was reasonably quiet. Found everything we wanted.

Moved back to Orewa 4 years later. Great to see the friendest stage at check out. Bless.

Has a good range of items in store. I usually come here to get the items I've forgotten during the standard fortnight shop. I like their own branded stuff.

A couple of weeks ago I shopped at this store and a woman named Polly was exceptionally kind and caring. Have also found Carmen and Shona on checkouts to always be incredibly engaging and efficient their service makes up for the fact what is charged at checkout sometimes does not match what is on the shelf.

Disappointing, poorly stocked shelves, prices on the face appear higher than NW and Pak N Save, produce section under stocked and deli not open...not in a hurry to revisit. Rather underwhelming for such a large store.

one of the best countdowns I've been in. spacious aides, cool, beautifully faced items, very clean.

Go there for some specific items only once or twice a week. On Tuesday, they have great deals 👌

Need to price specials better often no pricing at all.

I appreciate you guys working & open .. only thing that annoyed me was yr team blocking alises, cage on one side while working other side.. understand need to fill but u want the public to be polite I think it goes both ways.. sorry if i sound negative it's just a FYI Thanks 😊

Excellent service and great watch keeping to prevent spread of Covid Virus

Clean interior and wide aisles makes shopping easy and hassle free. There are lots of products on display and every section (meat, dairy, frozen etc.) Are split appropriately so everything seems well balanced. One downside was that the filler who was filling stock was blocking a section of an aisle with crates and empty boxes which would have been avoided if he put everything to one side. But overall a good place to shop for groceries.

Good big place to shop in. Is a big store, and well laid out. Parking is good never had a problem with that too. This is not my usual store, but like it better than to the one I live in here at Helensville. Lovely people at the Helensville one, but being small, if I lived closer to Orewa that would be my go too.

I love the layout of the store, it's fresh, clean and well stocked. I love the ample parking and cute cafe next door. Also a handy ATM at the store front really saves time.

Felt really save to shop here during second lockdown, all staff wore masks and customers are gently reminded to wear one. Love the plastic free vegetables and fruits on their shelves.

Great selection, people running check outs are unable to do basic math! Gave mum and extra $20 due to an error when they had a calculator/computer right in front of them, then proceeded to run up and ask for the $20 back. At least they admitted they can’t do math.

Fine as always. Needed more checkouts open at a busy time. The Tracer app posters are not working. Keto Vogels cereal is awesome 👌

Social distancing working well today when i visited. Approx 6 people in front of me, as shoppers came out we went in. Controlled by a friendly person and managed well.

What a difference to walk in to the 'new' store !!! Bright, cheery, welcoming... Do I notice a happy uplift in staff smiles too? Well laid out... Good prices - those enormous Canadian salmon sides look great for my Christmas celebration...especially for non-meat eaters. Good one new Countdown!

Very weird layout which made it difficult to find things quickly, but otherwise its like any other Countdown supermarket.

Sometimes going in their products seem to be off or Fruit and veg sometimes not Freash and also they seem to run out of product easily too.

Great pastry chefs - always freshly baked cheese ciabatta. Love it.

We were very excited when we realised that Countdown Orewa is trying to reduce their plastic packaging. Even the cucumbers were naked. It might help the process if they provided clear signage stating that the items in the bags have been weighed for sale. Saw a few items had been removed, people possibly thinking it was part of their fruit & veg display. Thank you Countdown Orewa for taking a step in the sustainability direction.

Always a pleasure doing shopping here. Incredibly friendly staff, very neat and clean premises, and shelves well stocked.

It's all a bit too casual. People are waiting for things to happen. The 2 metre rule is enforced. But there doesn't seem to be a sense of urgency about anything. The team need a purpose.

Supervisor at check out is always so friendly, polite, knowledgeable & helpful. It's a pleasure to encounter her. The store is well laid out, clean & has great specials

The supermarket has a good size car park, but somehow doesn't feel well set out. For a fairly small sized countdown it feels badly set out. We've visited a lot of countdowns and the one at Silverdale is a lot bigger, better laid out and only a few kilometres away from this outlet.

Friendly staff, love the Unwrapped produce isle and would love to see it continue! The unwrapped trial is specifically what has drawn me to start shopping here over other places.

The checkout staff are friendly enough - store is clean, however every time I go in they always seem to be out of stock - especially certain brands of bread & milk.

Easy access . Parking always available. Near other shops and eateries that makes it even more convenient. Near a few bottle stores as well 😁. Friendly staff . Very clean .

Decently sized and seems cheaper than other Countdowns I've been to lately - Lower Hutt, Bethlehem and Katikati.

Love, love, love the plastic free fruit and veges! Would love to see it across the whole store. The staff are friendly and helpful too.

Great EXCEPT I weirdly feel like they never have sunflower seeds haha it's not a deal breaker though, I'm still Countdown's #1 fan.

Good store and a lot of choice. I stopped going there for a while as they were the first to get rid of plastic bags but I think I'm going to have to live with that one.

Good quality price reasonable but often find stock incorrectly labeled. Also fruit and vegetables can often have confusing price labels

We go to Orewa branch every week with no complaints before thos week.2 guys skateboarding in the area by the front entry.I walked through them and one guy got it all wrong and crashed into me.Im fairly stocky so he bounced off into a heap on the ground.If i had been a little old lady she would have been knocked over.I want to know why these idiots were there for well over 30 minutes without being told to move.If i see them again there will be more than a glare.

Countdown Orewa is mega supermarket by NZ standards and is highly recommended.

So much variety! Caramel Up&Go's, tinned pumpkin in the international section for making pumpkin pie, most of the Kaweka 3-minute no preservative microwave meals! A++ in variety.

Close and handy to Orewa beach as well as the bus stops. Only supermarket other than New World in the area which is couple of blocks down.
