👍A+ tidy and clean store with fresh food. 👍Better and fresher then P n save, 👎 at the least 4 times in last 3 month time saw rotten Orange , melons 🍈 and mandarin ect from display unit at P n save Queenstown. 😍Wonderful shopping experience always with countdown Queenstown and great time in Queenstown too. 💯 Lots of choices: You can choose buy and cook OR buy ready to eat pack. 😋😋😋 even I found some Asian products which not sale in most of Auckland countdown stores. Staffs are friendly showing you where is the products. Thank you see you guys next time. 😀😀😀

Customer service - Found a card outside countdown, tried to get the attention of two workers to hand it in but they kept ignoring me. Finally went to the Lotto stand and then gave it to the lady there, she was really lovely and is the reason for the 3 star otherwise it would be a one for customer service.

Best Countdown in NZ. Fruit and Veg is always Fresh. Wide ailes, trolleys for kiddie shoppers. Really friendly and helpful staff. Underground covered car park. Try Countdown.

This is three times cheaper than the 4 Square supermarket in Queenstown. Staff were lovely the selection was great and they allowed my wife to use their staff toilets. Better experience than you can get from their parent brand Woolworths in Australia.

Prices are similar to pak n save. They both have sales on certain items to make one cheaper than the other. This store is pretty big and has quite a few options. Great fresh veg, organic section and bulk options

Really big Countdown store. Lots of great wines and vegan food items. Cashier was very nice and chatted about where we were from! We had to show our passports as they only allow NZ drivers licenses as proof of age.

All new and all fancy - plenty of underground car parking to get your car out of the cold or heat and good selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. The deli counter doesnt have as much as your capital city countdown, but hey we are a fair few miles from the capital!

Has everything you need when travelling around here. More range and Better prices than the other one in party town proper Queenstown. You probably do need a car to get here to load up. Lots of good shops nearby as well. Not a bad option if you want to avoid the crowds. Definitely recommend coming here for your everyday supplies. Plenty of free parking available.

Arriving in Q'town late afternoon we settled into our accommodation and then drove to Countdown. We had passed it as we drove into Frankton on our way to Q'town. Parking was easy, just opposite the supermarket entry. The supermarket had great variety, wide aisles, good displays & signage, clean, lots of 'specials' and the checkout staff were pleasant and efficient. I usually avoid doing the shopping but there was nothing to complain about on our visit today

It's hard to get too excited about a supermarket but this one rocks! I'm on a keto diet and I'm extremely impressed with the selection of organic, vegan wholefoods and deli foods. It's big and beautiful!

I went to Supermarket for buying mussels because countdown super market has the best quality of fresh staffs. Unfortunately there ran out of stock at that time but then again I got friendly and helpful staff usually here (miss Suwaree I guess..) she told me not only sorry but also gave me suggestion to come back what time there will be perfect and provide another fresh staffs instead and I felt valuable that I got the perfect time to buy it as the first one. I have no doubt the reason why Countdown supermarket has the most loyalty customer in the market.

Bright and cheerful looking store with a great range and delicious good quality in-store that made for a delicious lunch. Easy to navigate and friendly staff who didn’t mind helping me out with directions. Great way to end a great trip to Queenstown.

Go here if you are staying in town and need supplies! Clean and reasonable prices, nice enough staff and fresh decent food. Pretty much everything you'd expect to find in there. Same as a Woolies in Australia isle for isle which is nice. Great selection of junk food but also great selection of the healthy gear for those watching the intake. Cheap drinks and snacks to take while out and about. Just remember bring your own bag or buy one there!

Much easier to get to than the New World in town and with ample parking. The store is new and it is clean and tidy. You can get anything you need to make food to take with you for activities around Queenstown to avoid buying food at tourist locations. There is also a decent range of stores, banks and cafes in the same area.

Great Special's bit disappointed to find so many empty shelves at 4.30pm on a Friday afternoon & was told by a staff member maybe I could try another shop or come back next week as he didn't know whether or not they had the item I was looking for. I'm guessing he was new, as he was young and wasn't sure of the layout of the shop. He was very apologetic, polite & well mannered, best of all he kept his cool & didn't bite back at the abuse directed at him., it wasn't his fault. He'll be a valued employee once he finds his feet. Good luck to him I say.

Nice staff and a well stocked store. They always have the best seafood cocktails but the fruit and vege are never the freshest. They do have a delivery service which is a bonus but try to avoid ordering the vege as they are generally outdated. Staff definitely need to read the expiry dates and learn to NOT give people rotten tomatoes and green potatoes in their on-line orders.

Clean, shiny countdown with a great selection. The check out experience was like a visit to the twilight zone. Not sure whether the checkout belt wasn't working or whether the operator didn't want to wear it out, but we were asked to place items directly in front of her. Inevitably the bagging area was full while the trolley was still mostly full so I pointed out the impossibility of complying with her request to move the trolley... she then said 'you know what you want Sir', which was true, but trivially true in that being lured into a kafkaesque loop of logically incompatible actions is not something one is likely to want, although i have to admit a touch of farce does make early morning resort shopping more interesting, do perhaps I should have given it five stars.

I generally love the Countdown Markets around New Zealand. They are pretty much everywhere to find and have a good variety of products. They also have cheap offers here and there. Especially the market in Frankton is huuuge and has a lot of well valued products in their market. I can only recommend the countdowns over New World, Pack 'n' Save and every other General Store in the local villages or cities.

Good location with great accessibility. Bus Nr. 3 Kelvin Hights - Frankton flats goes every hour. Prices are reasonable and product range is good. For people on budget I would recommend to see and compare with Pak'n'Save to find best deals however some special offers in Countdown beat all other competitors.

Experience was marred by difficulties with the self serve checkout. Store was well stocked and appointed. The checkout machine was FULL part way through inserting our cash and I was panicking that we would not be able to prove what we had paid etc. This could have been avoided had the staff member attending to the self serve checkouts been better at communicating what had happened. But perhaps he was having as much trouble with my English as I was with his?? Anyway, it all worked out in the end and the staff member was able to help us and placate my frazzled nerves somewhat in the end. Perhaps the machines could be emptied of cash more often so this does not occur mid transaction in future? We will be back because we are returning to Queenstown tomorrow. Position and parking are all good. All away from the bedlam of downtown Queenstown and access is disabled friendly.

Well stocked and is a large store. While it's a 10 to 15 mins drive from central Queenstown, it was well worth it. The four square store in central Queenstown is small and may not carry all the variety of groceries, fruits and vegetables. For Australian travellers, Countdown is nothing but NZ's Woolworths. Same icon different tag line. Countdown is found in almost all cities. Other grocery stores found in NZ are NewWorld and Four Square.
