Reviews of Four Square Queenstown
M.Very small store. They have most everything you will need. Located on the only busy road. They even have a small selection of cooked items like fried chicken and meat pies. Female staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. One male stocking meat section was visibly annoyed when asked question about thicker steaks. It is the only grocery store in the area.
G.A small but very busy supermarket in Queenstown New Zealand where you will find a good but small selection of food stuffs to keep you going while on holiday. There is fresh fruit, vegetables and salads available as soon as you enter the door. You can choose fresh meats as well as freshly cooked chickens and pies along with bread, cheeses etc. Beer, wine and soft drinks are well displayed along with their prices.
A.Absolute lifesaver having this here as there doesn't appear to be any other supermarkets in Queenstown. Mind you, you can definitely tell from the fact the prices of everything are a lot steeper than usual.
The choice of stuff here is actually very good and was able to find whatever I needed.
R.Has everything you need albeit chaos with narrow aisles and LOTS of people! Fruit and veg was all fresh and small supply of wines and liquor.
a.Everything available at good prices being located at such a busy street. You can get all daily stuff like vegetables, fruits, chocolates, beers, drinks, dairy products, spices, herbs, etc
Easily found on Google maps and has many payment counters. Always busy as its the most famous store in the main lake street.
A.Only supermarket in the town centre. As expected, a bit more pricey than traditional larger supermarkets but has you covered for all the basics or last minute mixers and munchies. Staff are very friendly and always happy to share a smile.
R.Very expensive but the only "proper " supermarket around the area?
J.Good little supermarket. Prices like any tourist town supermarket, not the cheapest but not expensive either. Good selection although light in for specialty gluten free or lactose free products.
You'll get everything you need here if you're looking to stock up a serviced apartment or camping supplies.
The fruit and veg section had some good quality fresh stuff and the bakery section was good too.
Has a bottle shop in store. If you find the their selection is not selective enough you're no doubt in the wrong place to start with.
s.A few car parks at the front of the supermarket. Very busy and crowded. Not a wide ranging selection store, things are pretty limited. Being the only supermarket in town staff are pretty slack and the sense of service is rather low. We had to pack our own purchase.
D.It's pretty expensive, but you're paying for convenience. I can pretty much find everything I need here if i don't fancy going to the Frankton supermarkets. It would be great if the staff could say hi to the person they are serving rather than chatting to their colleagues (it's just common courtesy).
T.Always the best, they are great people working under what can be difficult situations due to the language barrier being right in the center of town they do an amazing job, keep their cool when abused unfairly & always eager to help. They don't forget their regulars & now ask me if I'd like them to call me a taxi, many nationalities but still remember my name & where I'm going. Very happy & most impressed
S.Only Supermarket in Town Center. Very Pricey & expensive. I would give it a miss if you have transport to go further 1 Km to Fresh Choice.
The only good thing about them is - that you can buy Lotto from here.
D.The pricing and selection are about what you'd expect for the only supermarket in a ski town. It's decent, though, and a good place to load up on snacks if you're going for a long drive to see some cool stuff outside of town.

J.Average sized supermarket, decently stocked and good range of products, clean and prices are very reasonable for NZ standards and considering it's in Queenstown. It's the biggest supermarket in town. There's no Countdown or Pack 'n Save. It's very busy here in the high season.
J.Simple supermarket with everything you need. We just stopped in before our trip to Lake Tekapo and the prices weren't too bad but they stocked all the Australian favourites (Milo, Tim Tams).
C.It's a Four Square, not a full supermarket, however it had everything we wanted and more. Seemed to have plenty of fresh food on offer, and lots more variety than those other '24' stores do.
M.Small grocery store. Very busy and not a huge selection. But it is pretty central which is convenient! Some vegan yogurts and hot chocolate powder can be found here.
A.Nice little Grocery shop in the heart of Queenstown, little pricy but that is what you expect when on holidays. Great place for groceries and daily needs if you are out in Queenstown for a little while with family or friends.
R.Great in that is has everything you need, but not so great because its extremely over-priced. $11.50 for a capsicum!!
A.There's enough here to meet basic requirements but very expensive compared to the other grocery shops in town. If you were looking to do anything more than a day shop, head out to wow for bigger range and heaps cheaper
B.More expensive than the fresh choice down the road, but you may not mind paying a few extra dollars to avoid the walk when the weather is bad. Really good range and cheaper than normal for a 4 square.

M.Nice place to get quick groceries shopping. Products are normally cheap. There is a small parking outside which is mostly full and it is difficult to find a spot to park.
E.Very expensive supermarket, though it's convenient to walk to for tourists. I suppose it is Queenstown after all, but I was kind of sick of the tourist-only prices by the end of my stay. The locals must shop at the mall near the airport which is pretty far to go unless you take a bus or hire a car.
