V.Can I just say that I was not expecting the range that this supermarket had! Excellent range of craft beers, diverse wines and good range of cheeses and other deli items.
We also found a whole range of backcountry cuisine great if you’re tramping. Right across from public toilets with showers open during weekday business hours - this makes for a great holiday or hiker stop off.

B.Often times you can't get everything on your grocery list. Yesterday couldn't get. Sweet shortcake pastry. or Frozen shrimps.

C.Sad, really sad. Here we are at the height of the summer holidays. The only supermarket this side of the hill is full of customers and the shelves were bare. The only thing that looked sadder than this was the look on the faces of the staff who were clearly overly stressed with the situation. Lets hope the freshchoice management get it together in time for next summer.
M.The only real supermarket in Golden Bay, and it is a rather large store for such a small population. Fresh choice may not be the cheapest supermarket on average, but despite this the prices are pretty reasonable when you take these factors into account.
R.This is a great place to get your groceries etc. if you're going over the hill to Collingwood, Heaphy Track and all the other incredible sights and experiences to be done. (please note that Collingwood also has a very nice and well stocked store but not quite as large as FreashChoice)
C.Reasonably priced and good variety. Beer selection is wonderful with lots of local breweries. Service was friendly but distracted as the staff were more interested in their own conversation.
A.Great supermarket for vegan/vegetarian staples
V.Quite expensive but is the best supermarket in the area.
Some staff are pretty over the tourists so aren't very smiley 😕 but none the less, has everything you need and a beautiful bakery range.
S.It is good to have a grocery store of that capacity in Takaka where at this time of the year it is extremely busy yet has the stock and the staff to get the job done. It is well run.Besides, the price of the beer I drink is slightly cheaper than the price I get it for in Christchurch! Cheers.

M.The only supermarket in Takaka. It provides all of the essential stuff and also does well regarding organic, gluten free, and bulk food. Plenty of selection in the meat and delicatessen departments. Large beer and wine section. Pleasant and helpful staff. Prices may be a little higher than in other stores nearer to Nelson.
T.Great selection for a small-town supermarket. Rural service style - friendly and relaxed. Good layout and nice presentation. Carpark can be chaotic during tourist season. ATM at door is useful.
T.This store had a surprisingly large selection of all food and drinks considering the size of the town. It had everything we needed (and had forgotten to bring) and the variety of food was impressive. No need to bring food from out of town, these guys have it all, and the price was similar to home prices too.

T.Very impressed. Coming from Wellington I was expecting something a bit bigger than a 4 square. This was more like a decent sized countdown. Great bread, beer, wine, meats etc. etc. Everything you need for a weekly shop.
C.Only place in the Bay for us to shop in terms of a regular supermarket, but they make up for it with a more diverse range than in some other supermarkets. Good helpful and friendly team.
T.I am an out of towner so my friends brought me here. Excellent local food. Reasonable priced and all very fresh. Plenty of selection. You will be satisfied. Thank you. My wife cooked a great meal from your supplies.
M.Lots of variety and good prices. I was pleased with the variety of gluten-free and vegan options, and was happy to be able to buy a canister of fuel for my cook stove.
R.Fresh veggies and fruit. Popped in here prior to heading to our place for the night. Went looking for crumbed chicken breasts which they had none - spoke to the butcher and he promptly went and made a pack for me!
