G.Countdown like any other I guess. It was always busy when we went in. Maybe that's a good thing. Some shelves were empty but I guess that's to be expected. One thing I must say. Hamilton Countdowns are more tidy and clean and I think here they take more pride in their stores. But that's just my opinion. It's a Countdown.
B.I've been coming here for the last week, their shop actually feels inviting (Is that weird?🤔👀🤣). They layout of the place feels efficient lol 😆 Staff are engaging, from little chit chat to engaging with the disgruntled kid (Who just wanted the lollies, your welcome mate) 🙏 Good work.

A.Not had a bad experience, just a busy mall. Easy to locate shops as it’s just a big loop around the mall. It’s also clean and tidy. Food it great, so the food canteen is most of the time the busiest location. The cleaners and security staff are so nice, be nice to them.
T.The produce section is usually really well stocked and I have appreciated the small change to greens without plastic film to being secured in a bundle. These are great moves and I hope this trend continues across as many products as possible. I would love to see NZ pave the way for changing consumer habits on plastic. I also appreciate the soft plastics recycling here at this location. Make sure your plastics are clean and dry before you put them in the designated bin!

J.Very impressed with our checkout lady quick and efficient. Made an effort to get sorted early and miss the lines Shelves were not stocked from day before so very limited options. Which means returning again at some stage which is not what we want to be doing during a lockdown.
A.Handy if you want to do all ur basic shopping in one spread out shopping center. All within walking distance

L.Not all countdowns are the same, prefer Roselands countdown as the staff are not as uppity.
B.Covid's still affecting stocks, couldn't get some of the groceries we needed.

O.It’s a nice large store just outside central Auckland. This specific countdown has a nice and even larger than most variety of foods. This countdown also has a pretty great layout so that everything is kind of where you expect it to be. There is a great amount of self checkout machines in fact there are more self checkout lines than actual cashiers
A.Always half filled shelves.. this is not related to COVID situation.. it was even before that.. always have to make two trips per week atleast to complete shopping
C.Convenient, clean and great customer service. I ordered a click and collect parcel online and recieved it in a minute or two of entering the store which was great as there wasn't a wait and everything in my order was correct. Thank you Countdown Takanini!

P.Always good when I go there. Fresh vegies and fruit. Fresh meats and fish. Brought some salmon smoked (ready packed) and fresh. Can be expensive but a good healthy treat with their salads. Great customer service.
J.Service was good, however the lady that served me at the deli wasn't too kind. She was snappy and unhappy. Much so, when I packed my medium size coleslaw became loose in the carpark and dropped. A big mess in the carpark, sorry.

R.The shop it self is clean and tidy. Covid protocol is also being followed. Unfortunately not all customers are wearing the appropriate safety gear and probably putting staff at risk!

S.Regular supermarket for us. Staff are always helpful and friendly. I get points when I swipe my One Card. Great thing about Countdown is parking. Fresh fruits and veggies can sometimes be cheap.
N.Love the baked goods they have in the bakery section. Delicious baking and good prices, too. I love the 3 for $20 meat specials. The supermarket is also next to the $2 shop, pharmacy, McDonald's, takeaway shops, cafés- and that's always convenient! :)

A.Usually I would have rated higher except the meat products could not be scanned (something to do with untidy barcodes) I was completely underwhelmed with the help I got and wad given the choice of going from self service to get meat with better balconies or leave without it. So I chose to leave the meat only to find i was forced by the staff member to pull all my groceries out and re-scan them at another self service. Not impressed.
G.Busy, clean, spacious, carts available, few more things than my local Roselands one. Not so keen on self scan but hey! If you don't want to wait for a friendly hello from a cashier and your bag packed then it's an option.
A.I literally shop here for the past 3 years. Great supermarket and great staff who are very helpful. Super tidy and clean.
K.Easy to navigate as per Countdown Floorplan. Carpark can be quite full. Helpful staff. Can click and collect and instore shopping. Not the biggest range, but a good selection.
D.Great store, lots of help, only negative I get is lack of checkout staff. They try to push most of the volume through self checkout.
A.Glad to see they finally have more than one QR code and have the paper sign in book available, but nobody encouraging customers to use the contact tracing facilities available...even saw families of 3 all shopping together without masks
G.On each visit to this store, the checkout staff I have been friendly and articulate. There's a decent range of grocery items and the isles are always clean. Their shelves are stocked and tidy too
S.Online shopping is the best here. Customer service is great. My favourite place to shop for groceries.

L.Had some hostile beggars outside. I usually don't mind them but one lady became agitated towards another person asking to wash our windows in the carpark which I thought was weird but atleast hes off the moving roads. No comments on countdown as I didn't go in.

M.Its an ok store for your daily needs. But if you need something special, sometimes you wont get it from here so you have to go to another big countdown store.
M.Good as always. Staff are always very helpful however it did not help that ANZ CC and eftpos did not work but apparently a fault at ANZ. Luckily I had enough cash to pay for my items. I was disappointed as I missed out on more points for my Qantas ANZ CC though. 😣
M.Nice. As far as supermarkets go, not a bad one. Pretty big. Sells food. All sorts of food. Some weird stuff, but mostly normal. Good trolleys.
If you’re in Takanini and you need food, possibly stop in. If you want. No pressure.
Oh yeah, parking is sweet too.

But staff are hanging in there and keeping us all smiling. Even under our masks 😷

R.My preferred CD supermarket in the Papakura/Takanini area. I'll take it down to 4 stars however, because there is one staff member in particular, who my workmates and I have all have had run ins with, and I witness confrontations involving her on a regular basis. While I understand that retail customers can be hard to deal with, (especially right now) the way she acts right off the cuff is uncalled for. But the rest of the staff make up for her being rude.

K.Today it was good bc the checkouts were super friendly even one of the checkout supervisors was very helpful. And she attended to all customers queries. Not like others they see you there at self serve and confused and she tried her very best to sort stuff out.
M.Conveniently located with lots of parking...good access in and out. Store is well presented and you'll find what you need.
There were no shopping trolleys when I got there and had to go back to carpark to get one.
A.Big store so the line outside moved really quickly
L.The toilets were mobility access friendly and large, were also able to change nappies in the countdown if need be. The only issue is that there was only one bathroom which caused a bit of lengthy wait. The Staff were super friendly, helpful and informative on where exactly items were. One issue that seemed to persist was the constant beeping of the doors, much like an alarm would go off but could only be heard in the opening area. Very busy at 4-630 on a monday. Self-checkout lines were the way to go as they were shorter. It was also lovely how they had complimentary chocolates for customers on their way out.
Overall, very enjoyable experience
B.Need to watch what they are charging at the till as it is common they have advertised prices that arent in the system hence you get over charged etc.
It stinks like mice and birds (musty) around the pick your own nut area which is a worry as this branch was found to have infestations a while ago and no news as to whether that was taken care of.
Staff are hit or miss, with miss becoming more common as the indian staff numbers grow. We recently had a very frustrating time with a guy running the self checkout, other customers started to stare as we tried and tried to get his attention multiple times even after he saw us he just flat out ignored us until another staff member motioned for him to do his job.
Noticed the new security guard is a bit off his tree as well, rushing around doing god knows what and getting in the way at the self check out.
I appreciate what countdown tries to do as a company, trying to be more green and i especially appreciate the "odd bunch" vege program. We have also had some contact with the manager due to trying to locate an advertised product that never seemed to be available, he was very obliging and went above and beyond.
n.Countdowns Countdown, Takanini ones my local. No problems and a few of the staff are lovely,helpful and welcoming 👌 The others are just there to get their coin(but such is life 👌💯)
E.Not my regular but had everything I needed in stock. The store was tidy and easily navigated through. The produce was fresh which is one thing I always look out for!
E.This is a pretty good countdown, however they dont have the widest range of some products, so you definitely wont find everything you might find at other countdowns here

S.Great place for groceries, can always count on Countdown for fresh ingredients and house supplies. It doesn't have any electronics if you do go, but it has everything else you need. Great service and people are friendly.

U.18Nov16 I have been shopping here periodically since 1986. Yes, 30 years. In that time, this store has been refurbished five or six times and other companies have built stores nearby until this Countdown store is now surrounded by many different shops. But the free, safe, off-street parking is still available. So is the good range of food products and service.

N.As with most countdown supermarkets in New Zealand, this is quick and easy shopping having lived on the boarder of Takanini and Papakura I can tell you it is a cool community and this Countdown is no different clean tidy and easy to find items.. time to bake scones.

S.Large store, good product range. Parking can be a bit of an issue with all the other stores around though. Has self-serve checkouts.

S.Takanini has my favorite Countdown. Just easy to find what you're looking for and when I can't things at other Countdowns they always have the items I'm looking for.
J.Countdowns come in different sizes. The bigger the countdown the bigger the selection and range of items it has. This countdown is on the bigger side of some countdowns I've been to. Sometimes I go to another countdown and can't find what I want because they don't have it. I've never had this problem at this countdown.

L.I visited Countdown, Takanini today. While I was in the shop it started pouring with rain and hail. I along with other customers were waiting @ the front of the shop for it to cease or @ least slow down. One of ur staff members asked us if we would like a free throw away rain poncho. The staff member couldn't find them in the first cupboard she looked in. Instead of just saying 'we must have none left' she tried another cupboard. After taking most of the boxes out she found them and distributed them to customers who needed them.
I was most impressed that the ponchos were offered for free an also by the staff member who was extrodinarily helpful. I just wish I had taken her name. I will definitely be returning to this shop often. It is really appreciated when staff go the extra mile.
