Average place. I used to do my click and collect here every fortnight but staff have been lacking in customer service skills over the past six months. And this is when there are no people there... So its not like they're rushed off their feet. I understand the covid situation but to be treated like I'm a burden collecting my groceries at the time I said I would is quite rude and dismissive.

Great selection, decent prices, lots of room to maneuver; even when full. Always appears clean when I visit and they offer kids some free fruit to nibble on, albeit some raw stuff they're getting rid of, it's still a nice gesture, however they never have any rubbish bins around for whatever reason so be ready to carry around the apple core / banana peel until you get outside.

Everything is easy to find and the staff are exceptionally helpful if you can't find things. They still have a blend of self service and checkout operators. It's my local and I wouldn't hesitate to shop somewhere else if the service wasn't up to scratch. But they are always friendly and make sure that you feel welcome in the store- I wouldn't shop anywhere else. Good work team at Countdown in Johnsonville Mall 10/10

Nice supermarket! The food there is truly fresh and with discounts the market provides great deal. The bakery is of average quality and average taste but again they are really freshly made. Xmas display is festive tho. Staff there is always ready to help which adds to the shopping experience :)

So impressed with the Staff at the checkout last Saturday evening. Due to an emergency I was on a frantic trip for baby formula. After finding all my local supermarkets closed I travelled to your store. Unbeknown to me as I left the house in a hurry my bag was open and my cards fell out. I was in the stressful and frustrating position, not wanting to repeat the trip to find the cards. The staff were all sympathetic and helpful. Including the security on the door. Cut a long story short a staff member ended up scanning her personal card so I could purchase the formula. I managed to pay her back via internet banking but honestly she wasn't bothered she just wanted to help me. I think her name was Jyodi. Been looking for an email address to message the manager and pass on my appreciation. To be honest everyone was so nice about it. Thanks so much.

Two Countdown stores in Johnsonville and this one is superior in customer service, friendly staff and range of products. To be fair the other store is smaller but I think it is the human touch which makes the difference for customers. A smile, a friendly face (even a little humour) and a willingness to help when you ask a staff member for assistance. I believe, from my own shopping experience, that this store has that. 😎

Countdown is my top go to store for groceries. I like the larger stores, greater variety and especially that I can get some international brands. Somehow of all the products they selected they chose my favourites. The only exception is fruit. For fruit my wife exhorts me to go to New World.

Very nice, clean, wide Isled, reasonably priced colourful well dressed supermarket, have to say that the food items are layed out all over the place, hard to find things and this huge space doesn't mean there's more on sale just means, aisles are wide apart, quite a run round in the store if u hv to go back to the start, very self checkout focused, not slot of staff available in standby at kiosk counters or around the place to help, which can be an inconvenience, staff talk to each other rather than u, once waited 45 minutes to be served to buy a phone, store well cleaned looks great eye catching so clearly great management, there's just no presence of ppl actually working there when u got there, when u need assistance at self checkout.. Ull b waiting a while, great prices tho, pharmacy section and selection of different branded items very extensive for a small supermarkets, for a countdown it's one of the best, but where's the staff??! The I store help??!!

Just soooooo big a they have the largest selection of items to buy and the guys helping at the self serve were very helpful and friendly the staff seemed like big happy family... Quite amazing for a store this size... Just so large and very very clean just be warned its very large from one end to the other!!! Good exercise...

What can I say, its my local supermarket and has never let me down (aside from not stocking the holindase brand that I like). Nice, bright and clean store with plenty of helpful staff. Good amount of checkouts available and if not open they have a sufficient number of self checks with people to help if anything were to go wrong or need approvals. Always seems to be something going on whether it be a sausage sizzle or charity collection or even the girl selling banana bread there is something for everyone at countdown Johnsonville.

This place is amazing! If you take money, you can exchange it for all sorts of useful items like food, alcohol, household cleaners, toiletries, and so much more. Geez I really wish I'd discovered it when I was younger, it would have made my life so much easier. I'd give it 5 stars if the rail you tie your horse up to didn't have all these little metal carts next to it. The rattling noise they make when moving spooked my horse pretty bad.

Large supermarket. Is open until 12am at night which can be very helpful. Lay out is a bit nonsensical. Eg energy drinks ("Lifestyle Drinks") and fizzy drinks are in different aisles. Sauces and dressings in different aisles. Is open until 12am at night which can be very helpful. They open at 6am but their bread delivery isn't until 7ish. Can't be frustrating if you want fresh bread first thing in the morning.

This is a reasonable Countdown and very conveniently located on Johnsonville Road and in the same block as The Warehouse. The carpark isn't great and needs an overhaul in my opinion. Still, I think it's better than the Johnsonville Mall Countdown as it has a better layout.

A medium-sized supermarket located close to the Johnsonville Mall and very handy to the bus terminal (A); also opposite the Community Centre. There is adequate parking space as it shares the Mall's carparking facility. As expected with smaller supermarkets it does not stock many artisan products, try the larger branches in Porirua or Queen's Drive for these. As for pricing it is not the cheapest supermarket around. However it is the only one in Johnsonville so unless you're prepared to travel this is it....
