Some shelves out of stock. Generally clean and tidy store. Unfortunately did not have The Economist or Time Magazine in the magazine section. Good amount of parking. Didn't have to wait outside of store which was nice. Als ohave self service checkout, or plenty of staff also ready to help.

Found this supermarket to be mainly well-stocked. However just today noticed a couple of basic supplies were a little low. But really a pleasant shop at a leisurely pace as there were only a few people shopping.

Closest supermarket 4 those who lives further out of kamo etc..if u dnt want 2 travel all the way in2 twn

Thank you to our local Countdown Tikipunga supermarket. I am recovering from surgery and currently walk with the help of a crutch. I find it difficult to stand for too long so was very pleased when I was sent straight in the supermarket today instead of having to wait in line. Also when I was waiting for a checkout I was helped by a supermarket worker who took me to a checkout, found a chair for me to sit down and unloaded my trolley items for scanning. I appreciated your help so much. Thank you again and stay safe. Regards,

Could have been a 5 star . Let down by not enough plastic bags around fruit and vege area. There empty cardboard rollers.

I went in for a click and collect order a few weeks ago and every thing looked thrown in. I had selected the byo bag option and they had thrown in some bags, but 1 bag had 1 lettuce in it. Some of the smaller items were nearly falling through the bottom of the trolley, and the whole service side was lacking. The original team member was rather flustered. Will be shopping at regent for click and collect from now on.

Excellent place to shop very helpful stuff wheelchair access wheelchair parking lots of variety of meat very cheap very clean good place to shop lots of other shops around the area all in one place.

Clean supermarket, nice staff. Grocery choices little limited. The carpark is a nightmare so only three stars. People drive fast around the supermarket and are dangerous.

My goto supermarket of choice only a 10 minute walk from home and always have the items we seek lovely staff and in a small little mall like shopping plaza very convenient

It was a very easy shop on Wednesday not halve as busy as I thought it would be , the staff was friendly and helpful. The result was a very pleasant experience.

Great staff seen the checkout operator load a lady's groceries onto the conveyor so she could take care of her new born baby.

As usual, I have no complaints. The staff are always pleasant, the shelves are well stocked, there is always ample parking. The prices are competitive. For these reasons it almost makes the weekly shopping trip a pleasure.

As good as always but the layout of the store is very different to my usual countdown and it took me forever to find the cooked chickens. I eventually had to ask the cashier because there were no staff in the aisles.

I'm always entertained and pleased to be at Countdown TP. This time when I visited I was impressed with the checkout staff and how fast they switched back into level 2 covid-19. Thank you for being so strong and accommodating to a demanding public.

Prices seem to keep rising and getting harder to find ps raking during the day, maybe when the school holidays are over parking will get better. Evening shopping is good.

One elder cashier with white hair, in charge of the counter close to the freezer, seemed not happy today. If she talked to pp with smiling, it would be better. However, I only felt her kind of picky and a bit rude attitude. I’m a customer, not a student. I don’t think she’s qualified to give any customer a lesson. Apart from the cashier, all good.

Definitely a super market which has a. lower ranking in Whangarei supermarkets. The staff here are normally friendly and the products (especially the bakery products) are usually always fresh. One big let down is that you just don’t feel safe in the car park outside (there have been a few instances over the years). All in all, this super market is not the worst in Whangarei it is just given a disservice based on its location.

Hit and miss. They have lovely staff but I feel they need better security. Usually there isn't even one person on security, even at night. Highly recommend paying a salary for more security personal or at least have one on permanently.. I've been physically pickpocketed in the store and lost quite a lot which was a bit of a sting. I've been followed to my car multiple times and there's been at least one car jacking in the last year. It's not your fault there's bad people in the world but people would be put off doing wrong doings if you had someone on look out. Other than that the staff are so friendly and it's a very clean and well run supermarket.

Lot of people go in and out of Countdown plenty of parking. Disable parking, easy access for people with disabilities. They have good deals there.

I thought that this was a very amazing experience and we even got a free sample of chocolate with was amazing! The L&P 2.25L was also very cheap. And I love the staff help! Everyone is so kind!

December 2020. Well stocked and maintained product shelves with a wide range of choices. Staff are friendly and smile more. I would visit this Countdown more if i lived closer.

I don't normally shop at countdown but popped in recently when i was in the area..its clean, ample aisle space, good selection and nice staff. Would definitely shop there again.

The auto checkout is hopeless since they stopped the plastic bags .... even if you can master using your own bags it takes ages to mount them on the scales and tare them ..... and then there's the wait while everyone else who hasn't figured it out struggles with their bags. Bring back checkout clerks!!!!!

The staff are really friendly.. At least most of the time. But like I know they wont be friendly ALL the time 'cos I dunno their goldfish could've died.. or they lost their favourite fuzzy pink socks or somethin. But they are mostly nice. I mean they don't have to be nice if they don't wanna 'cos I'm still getting food and food can make up for all my miseries :) ok im out.

The students who work over the weekend at checkout , are courteous, customer service is excellent , good acknowledging The customer , efficient.

The shops is quite nice and tidy, and the interior is quite modern. Nicely located at the outskirt of Whangarei, at the Paramount Plaza. So you can easily get your grocery along with your other shopping.

Hadn't been here for some time. Store looked crowded ,was busy, aisles appeared narrow and a little messy. Still an easy place to shop.. Will go back and check it again.

Warning: self service is the only thing available near closing and you cant fit a wheelchair easily through the candy hurdles placed in front of the self service isles. Good epilepsy friendly lighting. Used to be wheelchair friendly.

I had a click and collect they were very busy but the service was still prompt and very friendly they are my local and I wouldn't have it any other way

No means No. 10:31 PM (0 minutes ago) No means No I recently placed an on line order with Countdown supermarket n Tikipunga. I selected the no substitutes option. When the invoice arrived there were a number of items with the word no beside them. There was not any information on just what this meant so i thought it reasonable to assume that they were unable to supply these items, so i made plans to buy them elsewere. When i picked up my order i was surprised to see that these items were included with the order. When i asked about this i was advised that no meant that those particular items only were not to be substituted..When you select the no substitutes option it should mean just that, with no exceptions.I think that this was pretty stupid really and i told them so. I would have doubled up on these items if i had i not picked up my order first.

Went to buy groceries here, and the groceries were not only available for purchase, immediately but they even had payment facilities on site. They even had eftpos.
