T.One of the most aesthetically-pleasing tattoo studios I've ever been to. Great mellow and relaxed vibe, which is just what you want when you're spending hour upon hour getting work done. Mark is an amazing artist, and his years of experience really shine through in his professionalism, knowledge, and skill. Going to get more work done here in a month, and I can't wait!
R.I first saw Mark in 2011 when i was 18 years old for my first tattoo. His consultation process was excellent and he made sure i was happy with what i had bought to him and what he had in turn designed for me. I have never gone to another artist since and even made multiple trips across the country just to receive his excellent tattooing . He has always been honest about designs and gives an expert opinion on if something will work or not and is extremely well priced for the work received. I always only had one tattoo in mind originally and now here i am 8 years later with full sleeves and alarmingly running out of space. Nobody does black and white tattoos like Dark Mark.
K.Awesome tattoo shop! Super clean, hygienic and very professional. I’ve experienced a few over the years and this one of the best if not the best I’ve experienced. Mark knows his stuff and was amazing to deal with. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.
A.Winter tattoo grabs you visually as you first walk in, it's gold and black shop logo draws you into a super slick and crispy, clean and bright open plan studio. It looks amazing, the art and objects on the walls are superb!
Aja is an amazing artist and has brought her twists to many of my ideas.. I couldn't be happier with the results.

A.A beautiful new tattoo parlour. I had a consultation with Aja, who listened carefully to my ideas and talked me through options for my tattoo and had made some great artistic suggestions. It was a really good experience -unfortunately I don’t have time to have the work done before I leave NZ, though I’m very sure, having talked with Aja and seen the work she has done, that tattoo would’ve turned out brilliantly. I’ll make sure to book in next time I’m back in Dunedin! Thanks again.
A.I love this place, have been in several times to get some work done by Aja. Its a beautiful studio, with a really relaxed atomesphere and highly professional team. Aja worked on my back for a day, to integrate a few old tattoos I had into one piece, I was extremely happy with the result. It is a small studio and there can be a wait for bookings, but its 100% worth the wait for the experience and skill that comes with it. Thank you so much.

M.Winter Tattoo is a new shop with some of New Zealand's top artists - Dunedin is lucky to have such talent! The shop itself is absolutely stunning both inside and out. Absolutely love the gold and black theme of the shop. The sterilisation room is also very impressive :).
Aja has tattooed around half of my body and I will keep going back to her to fill up the rest. She has been able to translate vague ideas into works of art thanks to her creative genius brains. From full sleeves to fun fillers she has always met and exceeded my expectations. Aja is an amazing artist and I am proud to be covered in her art.
m.Winter Tattoo is on par with the best tattoo studios up here in Auckland, This studio is hygienic, professional and has a welcoming vibe. I've been collecting tattoos from Mark Tumaru for years and trust him completely.
