We have just enjoyed a lovely weekend escape at Redrock Cottage. What an amazing cottage, a very special home that is high quality, beautifully presented luxury. Just enough glam to make you feel special. And the location, absolute beachfront, a sun trap where we were very happy out on the lawn sipping drinks and chilling in the beanbags overlooking the beach. We took our dog too, so he enjoyed running along the beach, and with a heated outdoor shower we were able to give him a wash so he could dry off on the deck in the sun. The hosts Megan and Craig are so lovely and helpful and they’ve really gone over and above to provide a beautiful place to stay. We’ll definitely come back, so close to the city but far enough to feel totally relaxed. Perfect spot to relax and unwind.

This place is beautiful. The hosts have done an outstanding job with attention paid to every aspect. The cottage is perfectly fitted out. The lawn with the big pohutukawa tree is great in the afternoon as it is nice and shady and you can have a nap on the beanbag. We had a great run with the tides. We had high tide in the middle of the day. The sea was so warm and calm. The 11 year old took the kayak and paddle up and down with great gusto. The tide goes out a long way. The dog had a great time running around on the tidal flats. I would 100 percent stay here again.

Fantastic location. The cottage is full of character and charm. Modern appliances throughout. Comfortable bed with lovely linen. Felt very homely. Craig and Megan were so easy to make contact with. And some of the small touches made all the difference. Full sized milk in the fridge, laundry with everything you needed, big fluffy beach towels provided - great beach to swim at. Quiet and super comfortable! And spotless. Cannot wait to return.
