Refer to Wikipedia: Dunedin is the 2nd largest city in the South Island of New Zealand (after Christchurch) and Otago region. Dunedin lies on the central-eastern coast of Otago, surrounding the head of Otago Harbour. Many thousands of Scottish emigrated and had settlement in 1848. Dunedin became wealthy during the Central Otago Gold Rush between 1855 and 1990. Dunedin is still considered one of the four main cities of New Zealand for historic, cultural and geographic reasons. Dunedin is the most important education where is home to the University of Otago, New Zealand's oldest university (established 1869), and the Otago Polytechnic. Sutudents account for a large proportion of the population approximately 20% of the city's population and compared to the New Zealand average of 15%. Moreover, in 2014 Dunedin was designated as a UNESCO City of Literature. I love all things and places in Dunedin where is the best city walks.

Today we did a fantastic one hour tour with Athol of the Dunedin warehouse precinct history, street art and architecture. Athol was so knowledgeable and he really brought the history of the area to life with interesting anecdotes of the people who have revitalised the area, at the same time discussing the street art and architectural features of the buildings. We really enjoyed the whole tour and would thoroughly recommend it. It was a pleasure to be in Athol’s company. Mary and Ross Howarth, Wellington

Can highly recommend Athol's, "City Walks", as he goes through the history of the buildings and is very very knowledgeable about the area, booked through the iSite or through his site.👍😃 We've done two walks now and throughly enjoy them 👍 He has just authored a book titled, "Alert Level Four" about his experiences and observations, a collection of short stories👍

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Athol. He was really knowledgeable and passionate about Dunedin’s past and future. We learned a lot and saw some hidden treasures that we would have missed otherwise. He was great company and made sure we felt warm and looked after on a cold day.

It was a short stop. I came to go to the Japanese garden. Then I took the opportunity to visit the city center. I really loved the buildings, the architecture. The kindness of people. I would have liked to stay a little longer.
