S.My partner and I could not have asked for a better long weekend away at the Chambourcin Cottage. The place itself is immaculately presented, and the location is perfect. It is nestled in a vineyard so provides amazing views to wake up to, and it a short stroll or bike ride to other vineyards so perfect for wine tasting. Kim and Bruce were so lovely and accommodating and made our experience that much better. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay.
K.What a beautiful place, very comfortable. My wife and I spent 3 nights, and we wish to have spent more time there. The cottage is very well equipped, not shown in the photos is the back balcony area where there is a separate room for laundry, with a washer, a dryer, iron board, even a steamer. Also a BBQ is in that back area. There is an AC with heating in the living room. We stayed in all evenings, so we enjoyed cooking ourselves, again, well equipped with all the cooking needs. The espresso machine was great for the morning. The cleanliness was like a five star hotel. We only met Kim during our stay, she very very nice and helpful. We certainly would want to stay again if we pass through the area again.
H.Chambourcin Cottage is truly a rare find. I travel a lot and it’s not often that I stumble upon a property that is as thoughtfully and meticulously outfitted as Kim and Bruce’s home. There is notable attention to detail throughout the property from the pillow selection, the breakfast basket, the push bikes and the charging cables/iPad that are supplied for guest convenience. Beyond this, the cottage itself is a work of art — the polished concrete floors, sumptuous velvet furniture and indoor/outdoor flow was an absolute treat to stay in. The cottage is located near the beach and is accessible to a variety of boutique vineyards nearby. We hired a local driver to take us vineyard hopping when we both wanted to enjoy wine selection. Overall our stay was fantastic and Kim was the perfect host. We hope to be back again!
J.We spent two nights in the cottage and were sad to leave! The cottage is perfect. It's well-designed, spotlessly clean, and has everything you could need. We enjoyed taking the bikes for a cruise to a couple nearby wineries, and we loved the cottage so much we spent both nights in, cooking meals in the kitchen and watching movies in the living room. Kimberly and Bruce were warm and welcoming, thoughtfully providing everything we needed, including great recommendations. We appreciated the basket of breakfast goodies and wine. We wish we could transport the cottage back to California with us! Thanks again for a great stay.

What a perfect home base for our first visit to New Zealand - an incredible view of the estate’s vineyard, neighboring apple orchards, and wonderful natural landscape beyond. The cottage is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, cozy & spacious. Bruce and Kim are wonderful hosts - No detail was overlooked - there were so many nice touches, including bikes, wine, coffee, beach towels, and laundry. A.We had the most amazing, relaxing stay for two nights after our wedding. The cottage is immaculate, beautiful quality products in the bathroom. We were very comfortable here in the beautiful and quiet surroundings. We were left a lovely breakfast to cook for ourselves at our leisure and we were gifted a beautiful bottle of wine.
Kim was a wonderful host, a very lovely lady and we were well looked after!
a.Chambourcin Cottage - what a wonderful place. So well located - nestled in it's own vineyard, and then surrounded by many other beautiful vineyards, as close as a walk or cycle away. Kim and Bruce were so welcoming, from the first email interaction, and were extremely generous with local knowledge of local vineyards and restaurants. The cottage itself is stylishly appointed, with no detail overlooked. The most beautiful accommodation on our North Island holiday. A real find!

N.So many good points to make about this lovely cottage. The location is surrounded by some of New Zealand's best wineries. Sunshine streams in to the breakfast bar where you look out over the herb garden to the Chambourcin vineyard. It's private, quiet, modern, stylish, comfortable and a great place for a romantic escape. We had a wonderful long weekend made extra special by the warmth and kindness of the hosts. We're already planning when to return :)
S.The Cottage was such a quaint place. The interior design was to die for and the hosts, Kim and Bruce, were the most hospitable. Kim and Bruce welcomes their guest with a bottle of local wine and freshly baked bread. Around the cottage, there are several local winery that you could walk or bike along the coast or through the vineyards. Our stay was too short. As we were leaving the Cottage we wished we could have stayed longer.
R.We stayed at Chambourcin for 5 nights and it was well worth it. The decor and layout is fantastic..very up to date but warm and welcoming, with plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces. Kim had left us a great selection of goodies for breakfast and made sure that our gluten-free request was catered for, and she also included a bottle of wine made from their grapes..lovely! An added bonus was the bikes. We had a great 1/2 day's ride to the red bridge cafe, it was worth the effort. Lastly we really appreciated the laundry after having completed a 4 day walk. Great place!!
M.We spent 3 nights at this wonderful cottage. It is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing vacation. It is well-located for exploring wineries, Napier and Hastings.The bicycles that are included are high-quality and were just right for cycling along the coast and through vineyards. We enjoyed late afternoons and evenings so much we cancelled dinner reservations and prepared our dinners at the cottage using the gas grill and well-equipped kitchen. Did I mention Netflix is included? We have stayed in many rental properties and this one ranks as #1!
B.This is just such a wonderful cottage in the vines. We spent 4 nights here on our honeymoon and we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place. J.My Husband & I stayed at Chambourcin Cottage for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. From the moment we stepped inside we were blown away with the quality of the decor, facilities and attention to detail. We have stayed in a variety of accommodation around the world and Chambourcin Cottage is pretty much at the top of my list. We made the most of the beautiful winter weather and visited some lovely wineries by bike (included with the accommodation) and by car as well as the amazing Farmers Market on the Sunday. However one of the highlights of the trip was coming home to such a well appointed, comfortable and (as it was winter) cosy cottage. If we can manage to escape again without the children then we would love to return to Chambourcin Cottage one day.
A.Simply Perfect! We are so glad to have enjoyed this place. It is unbelievably charming, romantic and cozy, and the furnishings are quite beautiful. Kim & Bruce have thought of so many tiny details that truly deliver on the experience. We especially loved sitting on the covered patio, drinking wine, reading and enjoying the views. We have already booked our next stay!

The cottage has absolutely everything you could possibly need, and many things you wouldn’t have thought of, the attention to detail is just unbelievable. From Sonos, Netflix, iPad through bikes, umbrellas, throws for the terraces, facial wipes, beach towels to high quality kitchenware including a wonderful coffee machine with beans provided.
I’ve honestly stayed in 5* hotels that were nowhere near the standard of this place. Kim and Bruce have gem here!

R.The Cottage is just an amazing place to stay, such a special location and experience, I want to go back already! There is no better accommodation in this area and we only wish we could have stayed longer. Where do we even begin? First, nothing beats the gorgeous view overlooking Kim and Bruce’s vineyards. Second, the decor and the cottage itself is beautifully designed. The interior design is magnificent, with everything from the furniture to the light fixtures carefully thought out. The place is immaculate and extremely clean. Third, Bruce and Kim have thought of every possible amenity you can think of: from full kitchen set and laundry to awesome espresso machine to full kitchen set and Netflix to SONOS sound system. If you have thought of any amenity, you will certainly find it at The Cottage. With the two great bikes provided (helmet and lock too!) we were well equipped to explore the many vineyards in the area. Kim and Bruce also provided us with a bottle of wine made from their very own grapes and a wonderful breakfast basket. Kim and Bruce were there if you needed them but gave absolute privacy. If you are looking for a magical getaway on a vineyard, this is it!
A.The Cottage was a warm and welcoming home which enhanced our visit. From the moment we stepped in the door, this peaceful and well appointed rental was just perfect. We enjoyed the privacy, bedroom indoor/outdoor sitting room for morning coffee and afternoon refreshments. The intimate and secluded views of the owners vineyard was relaxing and refreshing. A well equipped kitchen, relaxing living room and wonderful laundry room was everything needed. Beach access, fine wineries, and exploration of Hawks Bay are close at hand. Two close and charming towns await your exploration. Everything was just perfect and exceeded expectations. Stop looking around, book The Cottage and enjoy what the friendly owners have provided for your vacation. Don’t miss the beach tractor ride to Kidnappers Point!

A.Perfection. One word sums up our experience at Chambourcin Cottage. But of course I am going to write more... From our very first contact with Kim I new this was going to be something special. Firstly, how often does the place you have booked look like the pictures online? The cottage exceeds the images online and the recent feature in the NZ home magazine proves the point. The cottage is STUNNING - so well designed and thoughtfully decorated. It has every thing you could want and more... everything was new and functional and carefully curated. The little touches make it so special - from Netflix enabled TV to private spaces where you can relax with a glass of wine (a lovely bottle provided from nearby Clearview Winery). AC, fans, blankets, multiple pillows, beach chairs and towels, a picnic basket.... then there are careful and accurate instructions for everything from the washer and dryer to the fancy coffee maker.... I am going on and on and on here - but this place is well deserving of 10 stars.
Kim and Bruce are generous hosts who have thought of everything and never disturb the idyllic ambience. I wish we could stay forever.....
P.This is probably the most special place I have stayed using AirBnB. It is so beautifully laid out in a great location to tour the region and a wine tour you can walk or bike starts outside the front door. Kim has thought of everything including many thoughtful touches to make your stay even better. If you are visiting this area do not pass up a chance to stay at The Chambourcin Cottage. It will be worth your time.
M.Cheryl and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chambourcin Cottage in lovely Haumoana on Hawke's Bay. Situated in the heart of wine country with easy access to numerous points of interest (vineyards, orchards, beaches, hike and bike trails, Cape Kidnappers, and Te Mata Peak, among others), as well as to a wide variety of outdoor recreational and cultural activities, we found The Cottage to be very comfortable, and nicely, practically, and thoughtfully (complimentary "extras" included the use of bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and picnic supplies) appointed. Bruce and Kim are friendly, gracious hosts with a cornucopia of local knowledge who go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is memorable. Whether planning a quiet, relaxing weekend getaway, or a comfortable, centrally located "base of operations" from which to enjoy all Hawke's Bay has to offer, The Cottage absolutely fits the bill. We look forward to our next visit.
A.This cottage is just perfect, is fully equipped with everything you will need and more. It is surprisingly spacious, has fully equipped kitchen, plenty of heating options over winter and it is BEAUTIFULLY decorated. I wish I could’ve pinched all your furnishings and decor for my own home. We will definitely stay next time we are visiting Hawkes Bay. Thanks again for having us.
C.What a perfect place to stay in Hawke’s Bay! Kim & Bruce have literally thought of everything you could need; so much thought and care put into this place. We took the bikes down to Clifton bay which was lovely and we were able to do laundry which was very helpful. The place was very clean and truly relaxing!

A.Stayed in November 2018. The cottage is very well appointed internally and externally with genuinely high quality accoutrements. This goes from the laundry, through the kitchen, living area, bedroom, outside terraces, and even the bikes. It actually featured in the magazine NZ House and Garden that month.
Location is very good for immediate vineyards and restaurants such as Elephant Hill and Clearview, and also the wider area around Hastings. It isn't far from the network of cycle tracks, and the roads are empty anyway. Easy to find and well signposted at the immediate entrance.
There is a school opposite so some noise at the start of the school day but other than that completely peaceful outside as well as in.
R.This is a beautiful cottage! Gorgeous inside and a lovely setting too. The owners have thought of everything as well with plenty of little touches to make your stay perfect. Our only regret is we didn't stay longer!
d.This property is stunning on its own but when you add the charm of its hosts, it is a perfect spot to enjoy part your vaca in NZ. Be sure to ask the owners if you can work the vines a bit during your stay. It will help you enjoy the amazing vineyard even more.

We stayed at Hawke's Bay for 2 days in March and were totally happy with the cottage. It is all very new and furnished with a lot of love and passion. The technical equipment (W-LAN, Netflix, Espresso machine etc.) is excellent, on top are next to the welcome bottle of your own vineyard and a few other regional wines at very fair terms available. The two hosts Kim & Bruce are extremely hospitable and have fulfilled their personal dream in New Zealand. Thanks again and we hope to see you again!

Wundervolles Cottage
Wir waren im März für 2 Tage in Hawke's Bay und waren total zufrieden mit dem Cottage. Es ist alles sehr neu und mit sehr viel Liebe und Leidenschaft eingerichtet. Die technische Ausstattung (W-LAN, Netflix, Espresso Maschine etc.) ist ausgezeichnet, on Top stehen neben der Begrüßung Flasche vom eigenen Weinberg auch ein paar weitere regionale Weine zu sehr fairen Konditionen zur Verfügung. Die beiden Gastgeber Kim & Bruce sind extrem gastfreundlich und haben sich Ihren persönlichen Traum in Neuseeland erfüllt. Nochmals herzlichen Dank und wir hoffen auf eine Wiedersehen!

Das Cottage ist perfekt und mit vielen liebevollen Details eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts! Die leckeren und frischen Zutaten für das erste Frühstück sind ebenfalls stilvoll präsentiert. Das schöne Haus wird nur noch von der Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber übertroffen. Wir fühlten uns von der ersten Sekunde an willkommen.
