Really enjoyed this experience. So much fun. Couldn't believe how the boat can travel on such a small amount of water. Great customer service from booking to our guide/ skipper/boatie on the boat. He has an awesome sense of humour and was mindful of all passengers checking in on their comfort with the 360 spins. Only recommendation for people considering this is if you have a bad back, wait for a calm day. We went when the lake was quite wavy and it's a killer on some of the bumps heading out and coming can in. Once on the rivers, it's much more enjoyable. A calm day would be awesome!!! Highly recommend. We'll be doing it again.

Wonderful and exciting experience. Bloke that took us for zoomies in the boat was an absolute lad and was a great laugh. We were sliding around corners like an Olympic ice skater or out of a scene of Tokyo drift. 10/10 recommend and I'd definitely do it again

I had a great time out on the lake and the two rivers. The driver Puni was wonderful. Not only a good driver but also kind and informative. The spins were very exciting and the scenery was amazing. I loved every minute of it, even getting wet was part of the fun!

Todd was our driver and he was super great, really knowledgeable and allowed us to have a laugh. Our boat wasn’t too packed like the other one which was good. A little nervous getting to and from the boat off the deck area though, quite the drop and change in levels! Ladies at the desk were very helpful and we had a blast. Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely loved it. A truly awesome experience. My little family and I had a blast. We were also surprised to not have had any issues re sea sickness given that my daughter and I are quite prone even with calm boat rides. Todd was an amazingly skilled driver and we loved his humour. The staff at the pier were patient, friendly, and welcoming. This is a certain must do when in Queenstown. I couldn’t stop smiling. Loved the whole experience. Make sure to wear something warm (water proof preferable) and sunglasses helped especially for the little ones and the wind. Thank you Kjet!

We loved it!!! From arriving on the pier to hopping on the Jet the staff were sooooooo friendly, kind and helpful. Still buzzing out that our 2 yr old was able to come along for the ride (he fell asleep 🤦🏽‍♀️😂) Such a fun and affordable experience for our family 5 plus 2 under 4s

Absolutely amazing and friendly team. They were genuinely interested in you as a person and where you were from and what not. The Boat driver Tepuni was happy to answer any questions and stopped at places to give a quick chat/photo opportunity. With the lack of rain the ride itself was still great and a real adrenaline pumper. Would absolutely visit these guys again!

Easily the highlight of my Queenstown trip. Super exciting and fun would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Queenstown if i come back to Queenstown this is first on my list. The driver was very informative about the river and we did heaps of cool spins.

We first did the Time Tripper show, excellent production and very educational and entertaining. We booked for an afternoon run on the jet boat, first time for my wife and daughter and they loved it. The driver was funny, knowledgeable and knew how to throw that boat into the 360's. Shore crew were very helpful and friendly. A great first jet boat experience for my family - thanks KJet!!

I am lucky enough to have been on a few jet boat rides in my time, and this was by far the most enjoyable to date. That was mainly due to our driver - Ethan was a good time! The views were surreal, everywhere you look a photo opportunity, and the adrenaline was pumping the whole time. Would highly recommend!!

One of the very few Queenstown activities that actually represents good value for money. Perhaps not quite as spectacular as the Shotover Jet ride, but it comes close and it's way more convenient and better priced. Our driver Todd was excellent.

So much better than Shotover! Half the price, twice the time and way more spins, what more could you ask for? Our driver, Adam, was fantastic and gave us some really info along the way. Our 10 year old son was really nervous before we set off but aithon seconds was smiling ear to ear. This ride is suitable for young and old alike. Next time you're in Queenstown you really should give it a go.

Loved our time on the Kjet boat. We have done the shot over one before but I liked this one as your get some time on the lake and then up the Kawarau River. Team were friendly and good fun.

Cool ride in some cool boats. Staff were professional and Tepuni was an awesome driver and guide. Good value for money for roughly an hour on the water.

My entire family had so much fun with l hr long jetboating on Christmas Eve. Many thanks to all the friendly staff and an excellent driver. Tip: better not sit by a person who let her long hair down that may slap you in the face all the time. 😂

Must ride Kjet if you visit Queenstown. Adam was our driver and he is such a nice and reliable driver. Staffs are very kind and nice. Definitely worth it.

One of the best jet boat in Queenstown! I took the 1-hour tour with Kjet, which covers the lake, main river, and small river. The driver is very kind and knowledgeable, answered many questions we asked. He also took us to a hidden water bush area with crystal clear water. We had about 10 spins and super close to the water bank. Everyone enjoyed it and I highly recommended to everyone!

We had a really great time last Wed and the 5 star was really a reflection of the total experience. The friendly check in service, the amazing Hamish and the added value experience of free digital photos simply takes the cake. We'll done to the team for innovating your services.

Wow this was amazing - we were only 30 seconds into the trip and our daughters were already saying ‘i want to do this again it is the most fun ever’. The obvious is the insane fast boat and spins (George was an awesome driver) - but even looking further than that it was a great trip around the rivers to see some spots you wouldnt otherwise see!

After our A J Hackett bungy jumping we hopped on the Kjet ride after noon , when the sun was on it's way to setting. We found the ride quite exciting, with the awesome speed of jet boat, the shallow waters of kuwarau river, water splashing and shooting up in air on every twist and turn of river and making every one in the boat wet..and to top it, chilled air striking our wet faces. It was all thrilling and chilling. Thank god kjet had provided us with lifejackets and overcoats with hoodies. I and my family were seated on the first row. So it was like having prime seats in a thrilling 4d show. Further I said to the Kjet driver to " make it a helluva ride " and sure he did it with high speed turns and 360° turns or donuts. But he did warn everyone to brace themselves before doing a donut. It was tremendous fun. I would like to add that the banks of the kuwarau river were some times rocky and sometimes clad with beautiful trees with vivid colors. Making this ride beautiful for scenic beauty lovers. Aught to do it when in queenstown.👌🏼👍🏻

Awesome experience but a little bit pricy. I got a deal on bookme that gave me this ride for 85NZ Dollar instead of 135NZ Dollar which I think is more reasonable. The pictures that they took are quite nice and they is also a movie containing some sequences of your ride. Unfortunately the camera did not work that day on my boat. The pictures, merchandice etc can be bought after the boat ride down below the water surface at the pier in an underwater aquarium. Nevertheless the staff found a solution for with the noz available movie and also was kind.

It was FABULOUS, great Ride, driver good sense of humor Lol was informative all the way... I definitely go back and do it again.

The pioneers of Jet boating in the world, Kjet is an awesome business located right in the middle of Queenstown. Being so accessible makes this adventure activity an instant favourite. Whats more, they have some amazing deals going on all through out the year so make sure to ask when you make a booking.

Awesome trip up the Shotover! The guide (can't remember his name) was hilarious and had us laughing through the whole trip! A great way to see more of Queenstown while satisfying the thrill seekers in our group!

Absolutely stunning. The experience, the scenery, the thrill. All worth the price. Even better when it was the Cookie Time 9AM Run. The weather was perfect, the sun was out, the sky was blue, there was little clouds. All round exceptional fun. Only thing to pick about is the combo itself. It says on the kJet website that it's a Cookie Time Freakshake combo. But upon closer inspection, it's a Hot Drink + Cookie combo instead. Makes me feel like it's false advertising. Or if they changed their terms, they should update the information. All in all, the experience is definitely recommended to do. Just if you're doing the Cookie Time 9 AM Run, just check the discount coupon or with k Jet. (Edit: Props to the owner for the reply. Just went down and got the Freakshake coupon. The staff there were very friendly and easily gave it to me. Took a picture of the correct coupon so others don't make my mistake)

My partner and I went on this last Friday, such an awesome experience! It was heaps of fun perfect amount of thrill and speed. Our driver Hamish was great and we had a perfect day of weather to take in all the beautiful scenery. Totally recommend!

The 1hr ride is awesome value 👍🏻 Spray jacket & life jackets provided. Stunning river views, lots of 360 spins along the route. Beautiful day for it and I was grateful I'd kept my sunnies on (for wind & sun & spray!). A hat would not have stayed on my head with the speed it was going 🙂 Awesome activity for kids and adults.

We went today, family of 4. Jacob was our driver. Had a good time even though it was raining. Good fun however the seating could've been better. We are squashed up in the front seat all four of us next to the driver. And we are all big people. I was so squashed up to the side that I didn't realise it till later on tonight, I have massive bruising on my arm from it. And my arm is so painful. But overall good fun

Took my family to the Time Traveler experience in the Underwater Observatory a couple of weeks ago and they just loved it. I have seen it before but found it just as interesting the second time around. The whole experience is both educational and entertaining. This is a wonderful way to learn about the history of the local area as well as see the native eels and the trout up at close quarters. The staff were also tops....this is a "must do" when in Queenstown.

Such a thrilling thing to do, even if the weather wasn't playing nice (the heated handrails are a great touch). Very skilled driver, Adam. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Had such an amazing time! Ended up going back for more and taking a second run! Both Luke and Jake were awesome! Couldn't wipe the smile off my face long after we were back on dry land! Perfect end to our trip to Queenstown and will definitely be back for another run or 2 next time we are back! Keep up the good work team!

Amazing extreme boat experience. Cheaper then shotover but not as heart pounding but takes you on a much longer ride and you see a lot of Queenstown. One that we will do again when we return.

Kjet is more about landscapes and time on the water. Shotover is more about adrenaline in between the rocks... Pick what suits you the best

My mum and I loved our ride with KJet, despite the torrential rain! I went on the Shotover Jet a few years ago and this was quite a different experience, but I enjoyed it equally, and it was nice having a full hour on the water. We couldn't see much due to heavy fog but the spins were fun. Felt very safe throughout.

Awesome experience, got a little wet but well worth it. Great operator with really good knowledge of the area.

Super fast boats, great experience blasting down the river. Goes up to the shotover, but not through the canyons. great price tho

Great fun, speed and adrenaline. Our kJet ride got over in 50 minutes (suppose to be 60) and we didn’t go up the river I think (something with water level). Our boat driver ( or sailor or captain) was excellent and skilled. 360 turns were fantastic. I would suggest people to try it and not get scared with the videos online and photos.

Great ride and experience but a bit pricey - saved $50NZ by using bookme.co.nz. You wont get as wet as claimed and I even removed my raincoat. Sit in front for best perspective and enjoy the thrills!

It was a lovely ride. Very safe. The driver took extra care to avoid rocks and trees to deliver us safe and a little bit excited. The boat goes fast alright but we probably looked for way more thrill. And without much thrill the price looks high. On the other hand, it was a windy day with light rain. Maybe in a quieter day they deliver more.

No photos, no video provided for our group to buy. No need to be that fast when coming back - it made it SO uncomfortable - It was like we were in a bike with no suspension in roads full of holes. I just wanted to be back to be out of the boat as soon as possible. It caused us so much pain, specially in back/neck, butt, legs, headache, ecc. What a pitty! Less speed on the waves in the beginning and also on the way back would be so much better. Answering your question: it was yesterday, on Sunday, March 14. We came back around 5:30pm. Must have departed at around 4:50pm. Thanks!

The jet ride itself was good, especially the lake and was also long which is also good. However, the Shotover River was quite boring to be honest. The river there was was plain and too wide unlike further down the river.

Great trip for the whole family, all the staff were great and helpful getting us all kitted up for the ride. Boat driver was very informative and competent, lots.of.notice before the spins and a bit of history along the way. Great trip for locals as well as.overseas tourists to enjoy. Nice to see the fish underwater at the end of the trip and the photo booklet was really good. We will be back next time we are down!!

Went at at the first ride at 10am. Great fun! Definitely a must do when in Queenstown. Got to see some great views and out driver Hamish was great too. Learnt a bit about the area and township. We were in the very front and it was fantastic. The 360 turns were so much fun!!

Regan was our driver and was excellent. I hope the drivers get paid well as their expertise with giving the thrills whilst keeping everyone safe is a skill worth paying good money for. The ladies who greeted us and sold us our tickets and got us all sorted to go were super friendly, positive and informative. Family of 4 including two teens who said numerous times on the trip, "Thanks Mum". We all loved it. The two river systems were great to see as they were completely different on every level including the colour of the water. It is cheaper if you book online and the savings are worth doing so. We went over a few big bumps on the Lake so I would recommend if you have a sore back to tell the driver just so he goes a bit slower over those big thuds!

We loved it! Andy was a great driver, felt super safe and was a bit choppy but for me that made it more fun! Would reccomend to everyone, best boats, best value and really lovely friendly staff. Thanks team, will see you again for sure.

Great experience! We got the 1pm deal so the price was very reasonable. Our pilot Brett was a very skilled pilot, we got nicely thrilled with some close-to-the-bushes driving. Safety is well explained. Experience suitable for anybody. Definitely recommending it!

Had a great ride with Regan yesterday! His commentary about how the boat works and the depth of river added to the experience. The on-land crew do an awesome job of making the experience feel special for everyone - even though it’s their everyday, they don’t forget this is a novelty for their guests. Would definitely recommend - great location and value for money!

Kjet is a fantastic option for a thrilling activity in Queenstown. Booked online after finding a deal for $89 per adult. The staff there were very helpful and friendly. They provide a spray jacket but do take a beanie, gloves & a hoodie as it can get extremely cold, especially in the winter. We had Hamish as our driver and he was such an awesome, enthusiastic and skilled driver. The trip takes an hour and goes up the shot over river and along the lake. Seeing the underwater observatory was also a cool finish. Would recommend looking for a deal online to try save a few bucks. Would loved to have been able to go a little faster but was still very fun.

Did a jetboat ride in Queenstown. There are 2 operators KJet and another and we went with KJet and we had a wonderful time. The driver was fantastic with the knowledge of the river and mainly with the boat. He should have been (Luke) a grand prix driver. The way he drove the boat with bare inches clearing the rocks and trees were breathtaking. The 180 and 360 degree turns are another story. Will definitely do this again.

Exhilarating experience; blasting across the lakes and rivers at top speed (+90kph), going into 360 spins and zipping past bridges and trees with millimeters to spare. Driver was great and stopped quite a few times to talk about the environment, rivers and the boat.

It was a great experience, especially in the front seats. The driver was such a pro and even explained every so often about the history of mountains and rivers. 360 spins were my fave! Really liked that the bars we held onto were heated :)

Well worth the money and highly recommended!! got offered the 1pm special from $135 to $95 for me and my partner which comes in as a bargain compared to the other local companies operating in the area . A full hour of high speed action and the driver was very engaging and full of great local information . Came away very satisfied !!

This ride was awesome! One hour on the lake and really skilled boat operators led us to have a wicked time jetboating around Queenstown. Also you get to go around a bit of the lake and two Rivers so there's a bit of variety.

1 hour of adrenaline experience! our skipper has a good sense of humuor and kept us entertained and well informed on the general info bits of the river and their operation. There were free downloadable photos given thru a barcode however none of them worked so we did not have any photos. I have emailed them and hopefully it will be fixed. Overall! a must do activity in QT. This flies well thru all ages.

A really great boat ride and lasts for over an hour. The driver was really friendly and checked everyone was ok regularly. They sometimes do a discount on the early boat ride so just double check before booking. I would definitely do it again.

We had a great time on the KJet. It was thrilling but not terrifying, we did lots of 360's and it was a great way to see the beautiful scenery around the shotover river. Our driver was great, obviously very talented, and all the staff were lovely. They provide rain jackets, but you only get super wet if you sit on the sides (at least from my experience). I'd definitely wear sunglasses, as I forgot mine and it was a bit of a struggle keeping my eyes open with the wind. Thanks guys!

A great and fun way to see more of the lake and 2 rivers. The guide was knowledgeable and told You snippets of info throughout the ride which made it informative and fun! Would recommend... Definitely an alternative to a river cruise.

Both myself and my wife came to Queenstown for our honeymoon and had a one hour ride up both the Kawerau and Shotover rivers. What a phenomenal experience with excellent and friendly staff. Lots of spins, which was great fun and fast action through the shallows. Thanks so much to all the team!

A very fun, thrilling and learning experience! Me and my husband had been given a chance to ride the Kjet's Big Yellow. It's definitely a different view of Queenstown from there. Our driver explained how the jet boat works and talked a bit about the history of the lake as well as pointed all the landmarks we need to know and definitely didn't forget to give us time for taking pictures. haha Would love to go for it again. Our driver Nick was very friendly and professional and knew how to give us a safe but thrilling ride. Thoroughly recommend KJet if you are in Queenstown for an awesome ride at a reasonable price.

Must do experience in Queenstown! The boat went up the Kawarau and Shotover river making 360 spins the entire time. Our driver, Toby, did a great job pointing out different landmarks and made sure we each of us had a good time.My friend and I had so much fun, I don't think we stopped laughing the entire trip.

What a ride!!! Kjet was so much fun!! I have done many jetboats in my life and this one was definitely the best! The staff was so friendly and funny! My friends and I had a blast! We couldn't stop laughing!

Was just taking a stroll on the warf and I must have been standing too close to the kjet booth when a lovely female assistant approached and kindly and verbally German plex me and pinning me down in an arm bar asking if we want to give jet boating a try in 15 minutes.... I tapped out and gave it a go. F@#k1ng awesome!!!!! Daughter and son loved it too!! With many 360s!!(son was free being a certain age) Rides duration is an 1 hour ride on the lake and two rivers it is value for money. It is a good way to have a scenic cruise with an adrenaline thrill. Good work and service from the kjet assistants as I would not have given it a go if they didn't kindly asked.

Had some good times out in the Lake Wakatipu, seeing different side of the Queenstown in a very exciting way. Really enjoyed the 1 hour ride, price is much more reasonable and value for money than its competitors. Would have given 5 stars if the staff told us we can visit the underwater observation deck for free (after the ride).

Have been on this three times now and still enjoy it just as much as the first time. Be sure to dress up warm in winter though!! The staff are knowledgeable and very friendly. Will no doubt go on this ride again in the future.

Friendly, fun and definitely recommend!

Jetboat experience was amazing! Brilliant weather combined with an awesome boat just made our day. Unfortunately there seems to be a miscommunication, as we booked the Cookie Run @ 9am which states it includes a free FREAKSHAKE, but we were given vouchers for a hot drink and cookie instead. I even asked the staff onsite about it and they told me those were the only vouchers they had. A bit misleading. Appears we're not the only customers to run into this issue. (Edit: Someone got in touch with me regarding the vouchers. We can go pick up the correct ones from pier now - a quick fix!)

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Perhaps not as extreme as some jet boat rides but a really good price and a full hour out on Shotover and Kawarau rivers. Plenty of 360 degree turns and couple of stops to allow photos.

We actually just went to see the underwater observatory that is included free with the kjet ride because it was a very windy and cold day so we didn't want to go onto the water. The observatory was small but was hilarious because you can feed the fish and they swarm to the window so you get a hilarious feeding frenzy.

Beautiful place for a big adventure and superfast boat ride, on the beautiful Lake and river. A ride for the young and old people. The company offers beautiful foto and video recordings to. I was happy to get foto album with nice photos of the ride.

Ride was OK but too bumpy if it's choppy on the lake. Your back will feel it. Lovely staff nice boat.

Nice to go out of queenstown to see the shotover river. The jet boat was good, but i just felt as though they tried to ram as many people in the boat as they could. Would do it again but would still recommend people to do it as its a good boat ride. Just didnt live up to expectations that people have been raving about.

Man it was so much fun. My wife and I a great time on a K Jet. Do I want to try once again? Maybe just one more time when the weather is not too cold.

We took our two pre school kids down to look at the under water observatory and they loved it. We all enjoyed seeing the fish and the eels.

Having done Huka jet Taupo we were a little underwhelmed. Not so much the others on the trip that were clearly enjoying themselves.
