I did the 3 day Tongariro Northern Circuit with Walking Legends and had a blast. The walk has an amazing variety of scenery and the guides filled me in on local legends and my questions on geology too! Topped off with tasty meals prepared by the guide. I would recommend this trip.

First trip with Legends and first trip through Lake Waikaremoana after it opened 2022.Wonderful guided trip. Well organised to manage climbs and reduce pack weights, but relaxed in delivery. Through stunning ancient native forest. beautiful trees and ferns, swing-bridges and lake views the whole way. Feels like we slipped back in time. Small groups and felt very lucky to be on this trip with guide's knowledge of track and locals. Lodges comfortable, gear loan included, swimming and relaxing time and food was really chef standard.This is a very special tour to go on. Thank you for tremendous experience and memories.

I did the 4 Day Great Barrier Island Escape with Walking Legends. Can't speak highly enough of our guide Karllie and lodge hosts, Val and Francis. Nothing was a problem, everyone in our combined group of 10 was looked after and catered to. Walks were challenging and scenery was stunning. Karllie had a great incite into the island, it's people and history. Her knowledge on the local flora and fauna was amazing. Great company, food and walking. Thanks Walking Legends

We have just finished Walking Legends' 'Great Barrier Island Escape' and can recommend it. It's the second Walking Legends walk we have done. Both have been well organised with guides who have excellent knowledge of tracks, the NZ bush and local history. The lodge accommodation was comfortable and the food was excellent! We couldn't have done quite a number of the tracks on Barrier alone as they required transport at each end. It was also much better doing them with someone with local knowledge.

Brad and Cathy and their team at Walking Legends are so enthusiastic, encouraging and so passionate about what they do. Not only great guides but great chefs as well serving up delicious meals. Not an easy feat when you are in such remote locations. An unforgettable experience and I totally recommend Walking Legends. No hassles right from the pre trip bookings to pickup at the hotel. We have just had a wonderful 4 days on Great Barrier Island. Our accommodation at Shoal Bay was just ideal, very comfortable and great food and very accommodating hosts, Val and Francis. Nothing was to much trouble to them. We had two great Guides Karlie & Hamish giving us good history of Great Barrier. Very pleasant to be with and most helpful, really enjoyed their company. One of our members did not walk one day but was kept busy with the hospitality of our Hosts. Great 4 days and would recommend it to anyone.

Walking Legends you truly are amazing. The northern circuit 3 day walk was what we treated our girls and their partners to for Christmas and they loved it. Brad and Julian were our guides and they were knowable, professional and fun. One of our party is Gluten Free and that was not an issue. Food was amazing and plentiful, scenery was spectacular and guides were awesome. This is our 3rd walk with them and it certainly won't be our last. Thanks for making a memorable trip for our family.

Fantastic well organized with great guides who mentor, inspire and keep one safe when hiking. Every need is thought of so one can enjoy the whole experience of the area one is hiking in. One leaves with a greater knowledge/ experience of the area than just the hikes

Walking Legends were a great help - they picked us up at the end of the Waikeremoana track when the Water Taxi wasn't running. Brad was there at the pick up point on time, waiting with coffee, baking, and cold drinks. Great service and highly recommended.
