Was recommended to use Bay of island water taxi so I could do the Cape Brett Hike.
Bob and his skipper took me to Deep water cove and picked me up after i have finished the hike. Bob is very knowledgeable about the history of the local area which I enjoyed learning about.
I would highly recommend using Bay of island water taxi. I'll definitely be using them again when I'm back up Northland next to do a different trek in the area as it was a lovely drive.
Thank you Bob, Louise and your whānau for making me feel welcome. I was able to leave some things in there fridge and collect them when i returned. I also used there facilities and my car was left there with no issues.

Bob & Louise were fantastic! On Saturday evening, we called to request a Sunday morning pick up from Cape Brett to Rawhiti. They were accommodating & professional and we loved hearing Bob's insights to the local area made the trip that extra bit special. Highly recommend BoI Water Taxi.
Thanks Bob & Louise!

After an amazing hike to the Cape Brett hut we quickly decided to take the water taxi back. Bob and Louise were responsive and accommodating, and able to take 10 of us back to Rawhiti in two boat loads. It was more than a taxi service with a tour of the Hole in the Rock and Cathedral, not to mention Bob educating us about the areas history and culture. Well worth it, thanks Bob!

Bob is an absolute legend! Picked us up from Cape Brett after a very long walk. Happily changed our pick up spot last minute and was extremely accommodating. The knowledge Bob has about the Maori culture and history was amazing to hear. Would highly recommend his water taxi service to anyone!
S.
Bob and Louise were incredibly flexible with my last-minute booking! Bob picked us up at the hut and took us on a tour (so much cool history around the islands) before delivering us back to Rawhiti. Taking the water taxi made my Cape Brett experience so much more memorable!

Our group of 6 stayed at Bob and Louise's homestay on Saturday night before departing on the Cape Brett Peninsula Walk. We loved their warm hospitality, freshly prepared seafood platter for dinner and comfortable accommodation. Its a magical spot. Bob picked us up by boat on Monday morning from the lighthouse and took us through the hole in the rock before heading back to Rawhiti. His storytelling and sharing of local knowledge was fascinating. We highly recommend staying here.

Bob took us back to Russell after we spent the night in Cape Brett. He was really helpful as he accepted to pick us up from the Cape rather than Deep Water Cove at an earlier time as we were too exhausted to walk back.
We cruised around the little islands in front of the Cape as Bob explained us the history and Maori traditions around them.
I’d highly recommend this service provided by truly local people!!
N.
We love Bob!! We caught a water taxi from Cape Brett back to our car after our 8 hour hike and over night at Cape Brett hut. Bob was super accommodating and took us through the hole in the rock and shared all his local knowledge of the area. Learnt so much! Great guy and excellent service!
C.
What a character our Bob! Super accomodating. Not only a boat ride, we enjoyed the local history, geography and marine sea life along the way. Like so many others we used Bob to access Cape Brett, via Rawhiti and Deep Water Cove. Incredibly flexible with our change of plans. Highly recommend.

We highly recommend the service that Louise and Bob provided for us on our recent adventure walking the Cape Brett track. 3 couples stayed the night before the walk at Louise and Bobs BnB on the beachfront in Rawhiti which was about 600 m from the start of the track. The accommodation was very comfortable and Louise provided us with a delicious freshly prepared seafood feast. There is a kitchen available to make your own breakfast and lunch. Bob picked us up by boat from the end of the track after we stayed 1 night in the DOC hut. He took us through the hole in the rock and entertained us with his knowledge of the local area. We were able to leave our cars at the BnB until we returned. This made the whole experience of walking Cape Brett so much easier logistically.
l.
Bob and Louise were so helpful and knowledgeable about the area including the Cape Brett hike. We had planned to walk out and back to the DOC hut but the offer of taking the water taxi back was too good to pass up. Bob explained some of the history of the area on the way back from deep water cove, it was $40 well spent to save us from walking the last 11km back.

Louise & Bob are fantastic hosts. Bob shared the history of the local tribes & took us through the hole in the rock after picking up from Cape Brett hut - his knowledge & stories were a highlight of the trip.
We also stayed in their peaceful air bnb the night before the walk- quiet, clean, comfy, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful seaviews & a vege garden we could use.
Highly recommend!

Epic! Great ride on the boat, good knowledge of the area, and all round warm and friendly service! Very much enjoyed my short time with them! Highly recommended!!!

4 of us stayed at Louise and Bob's accommodation after walking the Cape Brett track. It was a fantastic experience- the cabins were comfortable and well equipped and both Louise and Bobs generosity and friendliness was incredible . Louise went out of her way to provide us with dinner at a last minute notice after a wee oopsie when we forgot ours! Amazing wealth of local knowledge, and sharing of stories was one of the highlights of the trip. Will definitely be back for a longer stay next time! Ngā mihi

Bob and Louise easily organised our day in a matter of minutes and even tried to include more than what we wanted as Bob had time to do so. Bob has a wealth of extended knowledge being from the area, and he is very relatable. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience on and off the water with Bob and Louise and we will definitely be back to use their services. Highly recommended and also much faster to get to locations as they’re situated right amongst the heart of the Islands - made our day and certainly topped off our holiday! Thanks Bay Of Islands Water Taxi 😊

An absolute Must Do! Bob is a character we could have listened to all day. A super interesting tour of the islands before dropping us off at Deep Water Cove for a hike.highly recommended... Thank you Bob!
A.
Thanks Bob for a great service from Cape Brett Hut, well priced and on time. Plus you did a fantastic job of managing to pick us up in challenging sea conditions!
The sharing of your geographical and cultural knowledge of the Rawhiti area made the trip. Cheers!

Bob was a beautiful sight for very tired eyes when he picked us up at Deep water cove, great to talk to shared a lot of knowledge about the area and Louise was lovely and welcoming too. I highly recommend them for the company as much as the service!
C.
We were picked up from deep water cove and taken back to Rawhiti. Bob was able to tell us a whole lot about the history of the area, and we even got some fresh grapes at the end from their garden! Bob is the kingfish of the sea, and definitely not the rock cod!
S.
Could not recommend Bob and Louise's homestay more! Our hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. They shared lots of local knowledge of the history, flora and fauna of the area. The rooms and facilities were very comfortable, just metres from the sea. There's even a vege patch that they welcome you to pick some tasty greens for dinner. Great place to enjoy the stars and sunsets! Cannot wait to return in the future!
K.
Bob recently took us out to the Cape Brett lighthouse, his knowledge of the local area and its history is incredible. He even made the effort to take us out to the hole in the rock before dropping us off. Couldn’t recommend this local company more, thank you!
S.
Bob and Louise along with all the Whanau are so friendly and great drop off at a remote spot

Bob picked us up from Rakaumangamanga / Cape Brett to take us back to Rawhiti. He arrived at 8:30am on the dot as planned and the addition of the cultural stories and history of his rohe was a really special way to end an amazing trip. Ngā mihi Bob and Louise!
S.
Absolutely amazing service! Bob is so friendly and knowledgeable. He took our group on a short little tiki tour around the bays and through the hole in the rock. Very entertaining and friendly host!
J.
Thank you very much Bob, what a great way to end our hike.
I really didn’t expect such a great cultural experience and sightseeing adventure during our water taxi back to Rawhiti.
Incredibly accomodating, knowledgeable and just all around good people.
R.
We booked a taxi ride, but we got so much more. A guided tour/sea extraction/adventure with Bob! Definitely the no. 1 water taxi service in the Bay of Islands.
R.
Excellent service! Highly recommend. Bob and Louise were very accommodating and we really apricated Bob's knowledge of the area and its history. It was the highlight of our weekend Thanks you and we will definitely be back soon.

Kia Ora whanau
Words can not explain how amazing and spectacular our time was with the whanau at Bay of islands water taxi Uncle Bob and Aunty Louis Clark. Being from the bay of islands myself Rāwhiti, and sharing the experience with my partner we were both quite blown away with the stories of the old time of each island as we were going pass each one. We definitely highly recommend whanau that are looking to reconnect with their whakapapa of the bay of islands and that haven’t yet done so there’s no time but now! And for holiday goers that just want to get away from the big city and for some quality time away there’s no other place to visit and not come away with your cup full and wanting to go back again and again. Thank you again whanau and see you guys again real soon much love ❤️

We used this company from Rawhiti to deep water cove in both directions. Really friendly, well priced and very flexible when we made changes to our booking on multiple occasions. And we got to go through the hole in the rock. Highly recommended.
H.
Friendly helpful Skipper and team. Excellent service. Thanks Bob and Louise.
R.
Awesome service. Bob went out if his way to show us some good spots. Saw dolphins and got some history on out way as a bonus. Highly recommend
W.
They were the only ones interested in making an experience for my young kids rather than making a profit.
N.
Had a great experience coming back from Cape Brett in this water taxi. Really nice people, took us for a tour of the Bay. Truly stunning!
