m.We had a wonderful stay in a nice, very clean one bedroom unit which was a complimentary upgrade from a studio. The lady at reception, who I think is either the owner or the manager, was very accommodating and helpful as I explained our stressful situation. The motel has the lake directly outside, and is right in the middle of town so a great location.
Thank you for the stay; your warmth and helpfulness made a huge difference to our stressful day.
I.One night stop over after Napier. Clean and conveniently close to CBD. Lin kindly allowed us to check in early n out later. Recommend this place.
S.The owners were lovely they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I have never in all my travels seen such intense cleaning procedures! The friendly staff are clearly taking every precaution to make sure each unit is incredibly clean and sanitised and good on them! So close to town and right across from the lake. We would happily stay here as a family again!

A.Wow, super clean! Studio is MASSIVE and spa bath is great (only con is the noise of your neighbour's tap but signage asking guests not to use after 10pm). Owner turned heatpump on prior to our arrival which was much appreciated! Brand new flat screens with sky + movies, really nice for those cold and early nights. Will stay again 🙂
N.Just right over the lake and so close to all amenities. The room was so clean and my bed was very comfy. The lady host was very lovely and helpful. Highly recommended.

The place was very well kept - clean, comfy, and cosy. Excellent area and walking distance from a lot of restaurants, the lake, and the heart of Taupo. The owner too was amazing and very hospitable - walked us to the room and even gave us a little tour. Will be back definitely!
R.We stayed there last Wednesday night, the 10th June. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have slept in for a very long time. The room was very clean and of course it’s location was superb. Well done. We will be back

T.Comfortable and clean. Was awesome walking across the road and the lake with the back drop of the mountains to greet you in the morning. Central to Taupo township with Burger king directly behind the motel. Great for those munchies after spending the night in town.
The spa bath was huge and such a treat.

Arrived late on a cold day. Heater turned on and the room was warm and great. 2 minute walk to restaurants and CBD. T.V. channel selections need to be updated but who wants to watch TV when you are in Taupo?

N.We initially booked in here for only 3 nites. Unit 8 was spotless and very comfotable. After 2nd nite we decided to stay an additional 3 nites. Rachel was welcoming and very accomodating to our last minute request. Housekeeping(Midge) was friendly and attentive to our needs. A short stroll to lake(swimming), cafés, restaurants, karaoke bar, and shops. Very relaxing. We definitely recommend this motel.
a.Stayed one night at the Great Lake Motel in taupo, it was a lovely room. Very clean and tidy was impressed and very much pleased. Myself and my husband stayed for the night and next day touring around taupo, we will definetly stay again and RECOMMEND IT. We stayed in the 1 double bed and single bed room with a spa bath jaccuzi. Spa bath was amazing, no faults big bathroom. Reception man was very lovely, they provide breakfast which I thought way neat only for $12. They provided milk and the following morning we had asked for more and they happily gave one cup of it which was enough for myself and my husband. Very close to town we ended up leaving the car at the motel and walked through out the town.
