As a beginner I used to Gareth's fishing guide services for a day around Taupo and I could not recommend him more. So so good! Amazing day, very professional, patient with me as a starter and great attention to detail. He was completely focussed on making me catch fish. Thanks again Gareth. Highly recommended!

Gareth is a true professional. When I first contacted him to set up a trip, he talked with me about what I wanted out of the trip and where I wanted to go. When it was time for our trip and the weather was unfavorable, (I was a bit flexible with my travel schedule) he adjusted his schedule so we could hit the water at perfect conditions. He spared no time or expense to take us to a very remote beautiful river, with so many willing fish. After a while I lost track of how many fish came to the net. He is very personable and easy to talk to, and will teach you as you fish with him. I absolutely recommend him to anyone thinking about coming to New Zealand and fishing the North Island.
