If you're not sure what to do in Wanaka, the i-Site is the place to go. The staff know all there is to know about all the activities and adventures and they're passionate about sharing the best ones for you.

You'll find the Wanaka i-SITE in the small shopping centre area along Ardmore Street just in front of the lake. There is a handful of parking spots right in front of the i-Site and a larger carpark across the street along the lakefront. Opening hours are 9am to 5pm daily. This is a good place to stop by when you first arrive in town. They staff are friendly and can give you latest information regarding weather and local trail conditions and make suggestions for which you might want to try during your visit to Wanaka. They have area hiking maps and numerous tour brochures at the i-SITE and can book tours and activities for you as well.

Wanaka i-site really go above and beyond, bad weather meant we couldn't do a planned trip so rang the i-site last minute and super easy had a wine tour booked and paid for. Later on they messaged us to wish me a happy birthday and a good tour! Thanks so much Janelle!

The team member on duty today ( 31/1) was fantastic. Approached us as soon as we entered made appropriate and engaging small talk steering us to a few suitable activities- excellent “Trainee” apologies we didn’t catch your name.

Came into town late on 30th of Dec, looking for accommodation for that night. Could find nothing ourselves. Janelle and Hil rang about 10 people they knew and finally were able to persued someone to give us a room. They went above and beyond, really brilliant effort from them for us. Couldn't recommend enough!

Jamie and Charlene and the other girls in the information Centre were super helpful during our visit. They are very patient and have great knowledge about all there is to do in Wanaka and surrounding areas. We bought our passes for the ski slopes from them to save time on the slopes (apparently the queues get pretty long during the holidays!).

The I-Site was amazing, Janelle went above and beyond to help us out getting around wanaka and planning our journey to the mountains. You could tell she enjoyed helping us and genuinely cared about us having a good time in wanaka. 10/10 Janelle! Legend :)

Lovely staff and excellent help with our trip to Milford Sound and stay in Queentown. Thanks a lot to Ling Wei who was so helpful. You made my sister and me an awesome experience at Milford Sound on a lovely sunny day :-)

Turned up this morning with no real plans and the friendly and knowledgeable team came up with lots of great options and did all the booking. Fast, friendly and amazing knowledge.

Listen, the team at the Wanaka Visitor Center are great. I had a little trouble getting on the bus from the Queenstown airport to Wanaka. The response time to my plea for help was awesome! If you are going to be in Wanaka this team is your go to for help!

Probably the best place to go to book activities. The staff are helpful and have good insight on the area. Sometimes the lines can get rather long, but that's partly because the staff provide a lot of good information.

Great place to find out info on Wanaka and surrounding areas. Can get food to feed the eels and fish at the end of the dock. Also local transportation picks up and drops off here

This place is packed with visitors at all times. A lot of information available, tons of brouchers, but organised and easy to find what you need. The staff are excellent, prompt, courteous, friendly and helpful.

Really good would go back easy to find accommotion and booked my heli skiing as well. Enthusiastic

The guides here were very helpful in booking us a helicopter ride in franz josef, although we eventually didn't go for it.

They provide an amazing service with lot of information about the attractions, accommodations and everything you need with a good price

Great place to plan the next activities and places to visit and stay on your trip. It is very organised, we easily found the information we need about Heli Hikes.

Beautiful lake, you must take a boat ride to enjoy it. The waters are super clear. Such beautiful waters.
