The best vets I've ever had. Compassionate and thorough, I have had several pets with the team here, and we've been treated with kindness and dignity through every stage of their lives. Can't say enough good things about everyone here.

Dr Demi is the reason we came to this clinic with our three dogs. She is an absolute professional and I would highly recommend her and her caring nature towards animals. She treats our pets like her own and gives great advice. Dr Alex and Dr Eva did surgeries on one of my dogs’ ear to a great result. In my brief time as a client we have only encountered one bad experience with a vet who was quite condescending - named Vicki. It was evident no matter what I said she wouldn’t take my concern seriously… the next day he was seen for the same issue (as it had gotten worse) by a different vet and booked in for an immediate surgery as she was clearly mistaken.

Why does a review say that about Dr.Vicki Lim? You can't judge a person's accomplishments because of one bad experience. She is my pet's doctor, and my dog is a very naughty Maltese boy. From ear mites as a toddler, then going swimming in the ocean in the summer with skin allergies from saltwater, then going to the park and jumping in mud puddles with bacterial infections in his eyes, like to stealing through garbage cans in the middle of the night and eating chicken bones and having to have x-rays, and most recently coughing and fever from seasonal flu. Dr.Vicki Lim treated all these. The fastest my dog got better on the same day, the slowest was just a week to heal. My special request at every appointment is to make an appointment with Dr.Vicki Lim. One time the appointment was full, and I had to go to another hospital, but by the fifth day, my dog showed no signs of improvement, and I ended up going back to this hospital for treatment. I am very grateful to Auckland pet hospital. Everyone is so kindful and lovely. I trust her entirely to Dr.Vicki Lim, and she gives me peace of mind. Thanks a lot for Dr.Vicki Lim, she is very outstanding and professional.

Great experience here, they looked after our really timid cat called pebbles and made her so calm and gave us great advice and care. 100% recommend and will be back for check ups and the rest!

I felt compelled to write after reading one bizarre review on here. We have seen Dr Vicki Lim with our cat and 3 dogs (a German shepherd, Beardie/Huntaway and Weimaraner) She is the best vet we have ever come across. She treats the animals as if they are her own and we have found her pleasant to deal with. Her advice is always based on best practice but tailored to the individual animal. She explains things clearly and is very compassionate. We had a terrible experience with another vet at a different practice that left us with an incredibly sick dog that we were then advised to euthanise. Thankfully we came across Dr Vicki Lim for a second opinion and she successfully operated and saved our much loved family dog. It was not an easy surgery but she tailored the procedure to the dogs needs rather than treating generically. We love Auckland Pet Hospital in particular Dr Vicki Lim! Dr John Perry and Anna Perry

The vets and vet nurses are so sweet and kind. They remember my cat every time! The new (ish) centre is really lovely and has cute design features like little nooks where you can put your pet carrier so your pet can be kind of sheltered. Best place to take your pets, hands down!

This is our cat’s vet and we have received excellent service every time we visit. Dr Demi is amazing and we would highly recommend her to everyone. She is highly knowledgeable, professional, understanding and was super gentle and lovely to our Yepsie. Transparency of pricing is also much appreciated. We have recently signed our cat up for their annual health care programme which is already providing excellent value for money especially as our cat is getting on and has specific health issues. Plenty of parking in their carpark off Williamson Ave.

Great Vet. Only one gripe. I would improve your repeat clients service. They should be trusted and not made to do repeat physical visits for know issues. It is a waste of everyones time and costs your clients money with no benefit for the animal or owner and there is no benefit of being knowing your vet. If your general service is at one point dropped it will push a client elsewhere..... Lock them in by looking after the relationship. I.e do online appointments or allow photos to be sent in for known repeat issues.

My VetCare in Grey Lynn is the best Vet in town. They have always treated my cat, my dog with respect. Every time I walk in there I know my animals (who are my angels) are loved and treated with the respect they deserve. The Nurses are all wonderful and kind. The Vets are kind and efficient. Best vet - so accommodating, calm, and caring towards both our cats and our dog who has severe anxiety issues when it comes to the vet and new people. Everyone we see from the reception team to the vets are friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

We had to take our dog after she badly hurt her self during lock down. We had never used VetCare services before, and didnt know what to expect. They were great, We were really please with the service and the follow up .The bill was half of what we were expecting, which was and added bonus at a stressful time. Wonderful service and always putting the animal's needs first. They go above and beyond to ensure you are well informed, and treat animals with the same love and respect that you do. Staff are friendly and approachable and are always happy to help. I drive 25 minutes to get there even though there are ample clinics closer to home, simply because they don't compare.

Amazing. My rabbit had a nightmare at another vet. contacted ponsonby vet's and they literally saved her life. They stayed past close time to wait for us to arrive. Sewed up my girl and gave her some pain medication and organised an appointment at a rabbit specialist the next day for us. Told us everything we needed to do in order to look after here overnight. Amazing. Thank you James, Toni and the whole team. We'll be bringing all our pets here in the future

Great staff! Our cat is always terribly grumpy at the vets but the team are understanding and caring and treat her well. I wouldn't ever switch. Some people have mentioned in previous reviews that its a bit pricey BUT in all honesty its worth it, you pay for quality and I'd rather her have THE BEST care and treatment then to seek out a cheaper vet that didn't offer the same standard of care and service.

Jack, our handsome Golden Retriever received 5 Star Care when he was rushed into Vetcare to have serious work done on his bowel. Alex told us the honest truth about the operation, and his staff were very compassionate and caring in every way. Alex and his team did the best job EVER !! Jack pulled through and survived because of their loving expertise and care. Thats all we wanted was to have our boy home again.

Very friendly and easy to deal with. Have looked after our cat as both a patient and in their cattery. Good pricing and good range of gear. Positive benefit it is right across three road from petstock so you can go shopping while your there for all your other odds and ends.

I've been with this vet for years, even after moving away and trying to go to vets closer to home. I'll still go out of my way to come back for the amazing service here. My dog always loves going in as well. I'm not a fan of the Hill brand food they sell but otherwise they have some great supplies as well as veterinary service.

I love this vet practice. I remember Alex saying to me many years ago that he would sometimes forget what an owner looked like but would never forget the pet. I thought, 'Wow, that's what I want in a vet; a place where my animal/s is remembered and treated like 'an individual'. It's less about me and more about my pets.' I have been going to Vetcare Grey Lynn from day one, I have a dog and two cats and I have found the service to be professional at all times. I have been treated with respect and deep empathy and my pets, particularly my old dog, have been kept in good health. I can ask all sorts of questions, some stupid ones, and I am given the information I need to feel comfortable. Telephone support is great, the nurses are both helpful and knowledgeable and will slot in an urgent appointment if it is necessary. They are not perfect: there is a bit of variation in the quality of 'bedside manner' depending on which vet is on duty. However, care of my animals have never been compromised by this. There is only one thing I would change: the nurses need to be trained to remember the owner's name. I don't know how many times I have to say or spell my name and I visit the clinic at least once a month to pick up food. Happily, they always remember my pets on their regular visits. Also I think it's wonderful that Vetcare Grey Lynn work in the Pacific Islands. This makes me think they really care about the welfare of animals and not just about running a successful business.

We recently moved our family of five (plus one fur baby) from Auckland to Singapore, and with Vetcare's help the transition was smooth sailing for our cat Rocco. It took us a while to find our permanent accommodation, so Rocco stayed in the Vetcare cattery for five months!! We missed him terribly but as a regular at the cattery we knew he was in familiar territory and receiving plenty of affection and attention from the wonderful nurse team there. We also received regular updates, which helped the kids feel better about his long absence. Together with our pet transportion agent, Vetcare took care of all his healthcare, vaccination requirements and paperwork to ensure he was ready for the long flight to his new home. Thank you Vetcare for the easy transition, it's great to have Rocco home safe and sound.

I have yet to have my cat, Cleo, treated but as I travel a lot for work, she stays in the cattery regularly. The staff always seem genuinely delighted to see her and I always come away with the impression they give her lots of love and attention. That certainly helps me feel better about the situation.

One hundred percent the best vet in Auckland. These guys looked after us and Alien our cat so incredibly well, actually couldn't be happier. They offer a 20% student discount for flat cats too!

My experience at VetCare Grey Lynn has been very dependant on the vet who is in attendance. I have had a very pleasant experience Anu, who is absolutely wonderful with dogs, she treats them like her own. On other occasions I have had not so pleasant encounters with another vet, and that has put me off coming back. I felt that she was dismissive and rough with my dog, my dog yelped as she took her temperature, which has only happened during the times she went to see that particular vet.

I have to share our recent experience following a call to our own vet on a Sat morning who was unable to treat our 16yr old Lhasa Apso. The vet was friendly, thorough and incredibly caring. Our dog had damaged her eye, was suffering with an infection, and had been unusually inactive/sleeping all day/night (which we thought was old age). We ran bloods to find she was battling a number of things, including extremely high blood pressure. 2 weeks later she is back to her old self and much more active. Thank you team - you're legends and now our preferred vet for our much loved and cherished 4-legged kids! Open 7 days a week makes things a lot easier when you have dogs on permanent medication as well. Super impressed and highly recommended. Thanks again :-)

The cattery is very well appointed and handy to have such a facility in the area. Just a shame that it's not open longer hours. I enjoy seeing the resident cat, Vegas, when I visit.

Was a bit disappointed when a friend had a wee kitten turn up on her door step very close to you. I rang for advice and the receptionist was really useless and told me to ring the spca. I would of loved the kitten to come in and been scaned for a microchip at least. I was thinking of swapping my vet and moving to you now I'm not sure
