J.We took our dog in on Xmas Day to have a barley grass seed removed from her ear. We were warned when we phoned ahead that we may have to wait for up to 2 hours, but in fact only had a few minutes to wait. The seed was removed with minimum fuss and pain for our girl, and were on our way within 30 minutes of arriving. Great service. 👍
B.I have been using Animal and bird hospital for the past 5/6 years. As I often have rescued and fostered pets, these guys have always been the most reliable vets! I trust them completely with all my animals and wouldn't go anywhere else! They have always been so kind and caring. My family now all go here too!

M.Amazing service. We took our Indian Ringneck to see them and he required surgery to repair a nasty wound under his wing. They did a fantastic job and we even got a text message the following day to check up on Indy and hope he was doing well. We are going to take all our animals there from now on.
S.We had to take my first ever dog who I had for 15 years to be euthanized today hardest day. The staff were absolutely brilliant considering I was a mess. From the bottom of my heart I thank them for being so caring and loving throughout the process

E.Lovely people who really care about animals. I would really recommend this vet clinic. Their free wildlife service is greatly appreciated as you know they are always there to help with birds or hedgehogs with the mange/fungus issues. I always like to give a donation to show I appreciated their great work, and for them going the extra mile to offer this extra caring service. Great work and thanks very on behalf of the animals!!! 🙂
B.I have always been looked after on my visits.
Last week's visit was to have my cat's claws cut. I was finding the claws dangerous to my health.
As was my duvet.

S.Absolutely love going to the Animal and Bird Hospital. Reception staff are so lovely and treat your animals with the utmost respect. The vets are very kind and give their honest advice. It feels like you’re talking to a friend i.e., they don’t spurt jargon at you and you feel comfortable asking “dumb” questions. Always feel like they give the best care to my pets and never feel rushed.

J.It was average due to the fact that 2 vets contradicted each other and thats not the first time , also it was me working out what was wrong with my dog ... to many chicken hearts... so its a bit of hit and miss , also i never can get over the staggering fees vets charge nowadays...
R.Our cat needed to get microchipped and neutered. May not seem like a big deal but my son has pretty intense ASD and found his cat going into the vet's to be stressful. He was very fullin there and the receptionist, veterinarians and all the staff dealt with it with a calm and measured approach which was invaluable for this stressed out mummy. They were perfection. Cannot recomened this place enough. Thank you again. I hope you liked our flowers.
S.We have been taking our animals to Animal and Bird Hospital for many years and have always found them caring, approachable and thorough. When we had to have our beloved Labrador put down over a year ago, our family was there sobbing our hearts out and the staff were incredibly kind and supportive. Bev & Steve

Vet Julie and her colleague vets and nurses provide exceptional care of pets brought in by owners and of injured pets and wildlife brought to them without owners. I have taken my pets here for over 20 years and cannot speak highly enough of the care provided at this clinic.
B.Very professional, the level of care for our dogs, and the post treatment service provided exceeded all our expectations. This practice was better priced and more caring for our dogs than any previous vetenary clinic we have used
R.Helpful and caring staff, would definitely recommend this vet. My first pet got kitty flu after being in a cattery (shes immunized but got a bad dose of it) and they were just so thorough and lovely.
A.I do hedgehog rescue take sick or injured hedgehogs into my home through hedgehog rescue on the net Jackie runs it from Wellington and people contact her she rings people like me and my friend all over new Zealand we are volunteers and pay for the everyday care ourselfs except for the vet visits thanks to the wonderful support from animal and bird hospital we even look after hedgehogs from the wonderful carding vets there I also take my cats there thanks animal and bird hospital vets ferry road Christchurch you are the best bet

Most stressless experince of my life!
My two were looked after amazingly, came home happy!
My boy then got his wound infected, he was seen straight away and taken care of in the most amazing way. Vets explained everything in “human language”, make the whole experience very very pleasent for not just myself but the animals too.
Definitely will continue to take my babies here for a very long time :)
