M.Today our Sons puppy ate rat bait when on an adventure.. I went to this vet as our own vet told us to take her to the closest. Honestly the kindest most professional caring people who delt with the puppy immediately,, and the histerical owner compassionately- we will definitely be back. Thankyou!

L.Mike was very thorough and had read our dog's notes from the previous vet before the appointment. Able to do some lab tests on site. Cost on par at least, with other vet clinics. We like the ability to see the same vet for consistency of care.

J.These guys are totally professional in everything they do! I use them for all 3 of my cats. Today I went to drop my boy off to be speyd not only did I have the wrong day, call it old timers lol but they fit him in on their very busy schedule. They definitely care about the pets in their care and made my ed feel st home. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them, and no worries leaving my babies with them I know they are in professional and caring hands which is so rare these days. Thank you so much

R.I unfortunately had to leave Straven Vets because of circumstance. Mike is an amazing bird vet if not one of the best in ChCh and we miss him. He has saved and helped many of my birds and cats where others couldn’t. He is an animal whisperer in my opinion and has even on more than one occasion mentioned that my bird with tumours would more than likely make it to the ripe old age of ten and she did and my cat with a hernia would make it to ten or more with her poor health and she is nearly there, that is incredible to me and hopeful as we love and adore our pets. Mike helped save my 2 cats and with prayer (god) and his help we had Oscar for 7 more years and still have Ella...Mike is the kindest man with such a gentle nature and we wish him and his Vets the best. It was a pleasure to have known him and hope to meet up again. Thanks Straven
