M.Friendly helpful staff. They are certainly in the right line of work as they love all the animals they treat. My lil pomeranian Roxy was attacked by other dogs they told me to take her straight out there which I did. The vet's and nurses got straight onto treating her and vet Alistar did emergency surgery on her. If it hadn't been for their wonderful care of Roxy we wouldn't have her now. Thanks to all the wonderful staff she has made a full recovery.
C.My cat was in a lot of pain with bladder issues. Turned up unannounced at opening time and when I was explaining to the nurse what was up she took him immediately out back and went to work on him. By the time we got out to the car she had a diagnoses and treatment plan.
Very reassuring, caring and competent. Rubio came out a lot happier than he came in.
K.These guys have been our vets for many years and they are always super helpful and really good with our animals from cats to sheep 🐑. Top team I would highly recommend them to anyone.

It was our first visit to this clinic, but came with high recommendations by a NZ rabbit support group we are with... as a "Rabbit Savy Vet" and one of the best in Hawkes Bay. So we decided to take our sick bunny here and was amazed at the wealth of knowledge that Dr Alistar has pertaining to rabbits and the care and advice given. Will definitely be our number 1 "go to vet" from now on.

Our little baby recently had an issue and they took fantastic care of him with a follow up call a week later which was completely unexpected. They are just the most amazing people! They cared for her tenderly for five days and went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I as her mom, was reassured and calm and that she was comfortable and healing well. Despite such a long stay and major surgery, the bill was MOST reasonable and I will happily recommend them WITHOUT HESITATION to anyone and everyone who asks if I know of a good vet. After that service they're not just good they're downright FABULOUS!
I don't know where I would be without them.
D.Alistair and his team are absolutely amazing. From the moment you phone they start performing above all expectations. The support they provide is not just medical. It's obvious that they care deeply about pets as well as owners. The advice and treatments are no-nonsense and nothing is prescribed if not necessary. Fees are kept low so as to be affordable by everyone. We also found that we saved money by buying our dog food from them rather than in chain pet stores (that are supposed to give bigger discounts). Whether you live locally or a bit further away, this is a team that's well worth the trip.

L.Clive Cottage Vets are simply fantastic. From the moment you phone for your appointment until you finish your consultation. The vet nurses really care about their patients, and I just cannot speak too highly of Alister, the vet. He took the time with us, and our dog to diagnose his disease, which was complex. Alister also gave us options on medications, and how doses were administered. He showed us xrays and we feel as though he really cares for not only our dog's health, but also how it impacts upon us, emotionally and financially. Alister has always been far less expensive than a previous vet we attended, not only with health issues, but the large bags of biscuits are cheaper than anywhere else, even on line. As you would have gathered, I think this place is just wonderful, and I live on the other side of Napier, so think it's worth the travel too. 🐾🐕🐾
